Hi, Brian
No easy answers. First what language do you intend to use?
You could
check out hotscripts.com for a message board, their are many
free ones
around such as Galleon
http://galleon.riaforge.org/
and
http://forum.snitz.com/ and no
doubt many others, but you will need to
know what language you want to use.
The list would generally be held in a database and the mail
sent by
looping through the database for mail addresses that meet a
certain
criteria.
Again, the email form would depend on the language you are
using, email
forms are generally pretty straight forward.

    Is there any way to make the sent folder in mail list emails in the "to" order instead of  "from".

    Sure open Sent folder.
    Just above first message is an icon titled Sort By Date followed by a downward pointing arrow.
    Click on the arrow and select "To" from the list.

  • Mailing List Emails

    Hi Folks, I feel like a dope, but I searched high and low in the admin portal for my site and I can't find an option to turn off confirmations for mailing list subscriptions. I DON'T MEAN the emails that get sent to customers. I mean the email I recieve in my inbox every time a customer subscribes to a mailing list. It says:
    "The email address [email protected] has subscribed to your list Website Launch."
    I really don't want to recieve these emails anymore. How do I turn them off!?! Thanks!

    Hi,
    You need to remove the "Role Responsible" from the mailing list. Please refer to the following screenshot :
    Cheers!

    How one user can subscribe to one mailing list ? There is no native functionality to allow a user to "self-subscribe" to a mailing list. This functionality is planned for a future release of the product.

  • Is there any way to make the sent folder in mail list emails "to" instead of  "from"; also when I select the 'sort by to' option I only see my own name

    When using the new layout of Mail, the 'sent' list never shows the addressee (to).  I only see my own name (which is pretty useless since I know I sent the messages...).  I do not find the option to change this.  In the classic layout, the 'sent' list shows the names of the addressees and any other feature I select under 'view'.  What do I do wrong?

  • Group Mailing List Emails Undelivered

    My organization finally upgraded our servers.  We jumped from Snow Leopard Server to Mavericks with the Server app.  In the past we were always able to send emails to groups and for most part its working on the new server.  However, we have an app (CCC) on the server that sends notifications to a specific group and the emails are bouncing as undelivered.  The error message is "invalid characters in the message".    Does anyone know a fix for this?  The emails never bounced on the old setup and I can send them to any single user in the group on the new setup without a problem.

    I have the same error, the log entry is (for this post i changed the domain to xxx.xx, other than that it is the original messes, up to an and including the typo in the error message, it really says "charracters" with two "r"s.):
    Oct 11 09:32:14 xxx.xx postfix/local[4556]: 6B01FD32027: to=<[email protected]>, relay=local, delay=0.04, delays=0/0/0/0.04, dsn=5.3.0, status=bounced (Command died with status 1: "/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/libexec/MailService/list_serv er_post post partner". Command output: /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/libexec/MailService/list_serve r_post invalid charracters in message )
    Additional information:
    The text in the message is not important, I don't get any message delivered, even an empty one.
    OS X version is: 10.9.5
    Server version in: 3.2.1
    Before the update the list worked and I had OS X 10.9.4 and Server 3.1.2
    I hope this information helps to find the bug.
    Best regards,
    Markus

  • Mailing List Replies Come from Wrong Account

    Using Mail 2.0.5 under OS X 10.4.3.
    I have two mail accounts, let's call them "X" (my main account) and "Y" (an account I use for mailing lists only). I have a Rule that filters all mail to the Y account to one of several mail folders on my mac. This keeps all my mailing list email organized.
    Under OS X 10.3, this worked fine. I could read one of these emails, click Reply, and Mail would properly set the sending account to Y.
    Under 10.4, Mail insists on setting the account to X. This causes my list mail reply to bounce, and is annoying the heck out of me!
    I've tried various combinations of "Send new messages from: ..." but none seem to work. I can't set it to "Y" because I want all new messages to be sent from my main account "X".
    Help!

    This should not occur.
    As an experiment, I have some old saved received messages in a user created mailbox that were addressed to an old email account/address that was cancelled. When selecting Reply for any of these messages, my default Send New Mail from account is chosen as the sending email account/address.
    When doing the same for any messages located in a user created mailbox that were addressed to an existing valid email account/address that is not my default Sent New Mail from account selection, the account/email address the message was addressed to is the account chosen as the sending email account/address.
    I believe there is some minor corruption to your Mail.app preference file. Let me know if you need the instructions for targeting the preference file which will require re-entering all email account information.

  • What is the internal mailing list for Oracle SES

    Hello, I had this mailing list: : [email protected] but it appears to not be available now. Does anyone know where should I write now?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    This is list is the way for everyone to see which companies are actively contributing on SCN. The points of their employees are aggregated under the company names.
    We have a recognition program for SAP Partners called the [SAP Pinnacle Awards|http://www.sap.com/ecosystem/partners/recognitionprograms/pinnacleaward.epx]. In various categories such as Software, Technology, Services, Community etc we give an award to our partners at the Sapphire conference in May. For the Community Award, we look at companies who are active on SCN, we look at their contributions on SCN (via this list) but we also look at the quality of their contributions, their involvement in SAP and community events as well as community projects.
    So to sum up and answer your question: this list helps with partner recognition, but there's more to it.
    Best regards,
    Laure (from the SCN Collaboration Team)

  • Mailing lists and message boards

    I've been using Dreamweaver for a couple of years just
    developing static websites. I don't know any php or mysql, or
    actionscripting at all (I'm a designer, programming is so tedious
    for me and I really don't have the head for it). I'm working on a
    website right now and I'd like to add a simple "Join our mailing
    list" box at the top of my main template that collects email
    addresses, and I'd also like to add a message board to the site.
    What are the easiest ways of doing this? Any help would be greatly
    appreciated, thanks!

    www.mailchimp.com
    Set up a free account, import your existing mailing list, put

    they give you on your website to collect more addresses.
    Their system will handle the bounces, unsubscribes, etc. plus
    provide

    Problem with Thunderbird email:
    When I send email using a mailing list, with my email included in the list, the message shows up in my Sent list and others receive it but it does not come to my email Inbox. The same problem occurs when I send the email to the mailing list addresses individually. When I send a simple test message to myself, I do receive it in my Inbox. Can you help me??
    Bob Greenman

    Are you using either cc or bcc? Is googlemail involved? Some email providers suppress cc's and bcc's to oneself since you will have a copy in your Sent folder.

  • Mailing lists are no longer being parsed for individual address to be placed in the email 'To' field.

    When I attempt to use a Mailing List, which has worked in the past, to supply the addresses for an email which I wish to send, it fails with an error message as per this example:
    "MAILING LIST NAME (current)" <"MAILING LIST NAME (current)"> is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the e-mail.
    It seems that Thunderbird can no longer parse the Mailing List for the individual names and addresses.
    Do you need any more info?
    Thanks for your help.

    As you may need this fixed quickly: You could uninstall the current version via Control panel > Programs and Features and reinstall a previous version, download from here:
    Version 31.0:
    * ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/31.0/
    Version 24.7:
    * ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/24.7.0/
    click on the type for your OS. eg: If using Windows select 'win32'
    then select the language eg: en-GB = English british
    then download the .exe file
    The thunderbird program is not stored in the same place as your thunderbird Profile. So, uninstalling and reinstalling should not effect anything in the profile folder including emails, address books etc.
    However, it is always a good idea to backup your Profile, just in case :) You can use tools such as MoxBackup and/or ImportExporttool or manually copy your Profile folder to an external device. All info at links below:

  • Mailing list form, how to make it functional?

    I'm trying to add the typical "Join our Mailing List" form into a website where users can submit their email addresses.  I've built the form and now I need to make it functional.  I don't know a lick of php or databasing, and after investigating it on the web and the forum there seems to be a bunch of different answers and I'm not sure which direction to go in.  Is there an easy way to do this with a premade script somewhere?  Would I have to get it from the company that's hosting the site?  How do I implement it?
    Thanks in advance!!!!

    Awesome, thanks so much for the help CanonBoy.  So I can use this for both my mailing list form and my contact message form?  I opened Dreamweaver and on the contact page I set the form to this:
    <div id="ContactForm">
      <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="contact.php">
        <table width="300">
          <tr>
            <td colspan="2"><span class="MainText">All information will be kept private</span></td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td width="61"><span class="MainText">Name:</span></td>
            <td width="227"><span class="MainText">
              <input name="Name" type="text" id="Name" size="25" />
            </span></td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td><span class="MainText">Email:</span></td>
            <td><span class="MainText">
              <input name="Email" type="text" id="Email" size="25" />
            </span></td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td><span class="MainText">Phone:</span></td>
            <td><span class="MainText">
              <input name="Phone" type="text" id="Phone" size="25" />
            </span></td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td> </td>
            <td> </td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td><span class="MainText">Message:</span></td>
            <td><span class="MainText">
              <textarea name="Message" id="Message" cols="23" rows="5"></textarea>
            </span></td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td> </td>
            <td> </td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td> </td>
            <td><input name="Clear" type="reset" class="MainText" id="Clear" value="Clear" />
            <input name="Submit" type="submit" class="MainText" id="Submit" value="Submit" /></td>
          </tr>
        </table>
      </form>
    </div>
    Do I have to change the form ID and the name in line 2?  And also I'm not sure what you meant about the hidden field, what exactly do I copy and paste and where do I put it?  And is there a generic form on the tectite site I can add the client's email address to, change it to contact.php and upload it?  Thanks big time!!!

  • Mailing list problem. Users added in mgrpAllowedBroadcaster cant send email

    Hi,
    I have problem with making some new mailing list and updating some old ones.
    I made a list named [email protected] and i wanted only specific senders to be able to send to the list so i added them in mgrpAllowedBroadcaster attribute in the Directory Server.
    When i sent email from my pc (my email adress included in mgrpAllowedBroadcaster) with a mail client to the list i got
    Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed
    Your message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:
    Recipient address: [email protected]
    Reason: you are not allowed to use this list: [email protected]
    If i use webmail (Messanger express) the message gets normaly delivered to all the members of the list.
    The webmail is on the same machine with the Messaging Server that has the mailboxes so its a local delivery.
    I have 3 mail servers in my configuration. Outgoing mail server with sendmail (out.mydoman.com) , an spam/antivirus box (spam.mydomain.com) and the messaging server (pop.mydomain.com).
    The delivery failure for the list was always sent by the messaging server.
    I tried contacting each of my servers with telnet on port 25 and send an email to the list.
    If i contacted the outgoing mail server the message was not delivered to the list and i got the same error as with the mail client on my PC.
    (email goes to outgoing --> spam box --> messaging server)
    If i contacted the spam/antivirus box then the message was delivered normaly to the recipients in the list
    If i contacted the Message store box then its was normaly delivered.
    I added a gmail account to the mgrpAllowedBroadcaster and when i sent email from it the message was delivered normaly to the list.
    I get no error when i try
    ./imsimta test -rewrite [email protected] [email protected]
