Message cancellation

Hi;
Please don't ask how this happened; it is something I would prefer to forget!! We are on XI 3.0 and we have 5,432 XML messages in our DEV environment that are in the status "Scheduled for outbound processing" and should never be processed.
I need to archive/delete those messages but I am on the understanding that they need to be in an error status, cancelled, or completed for that to work.
Does anyone know how to mass cancel messages?

hi john we had a similar problem and followed the following steps. Remember we had to run table_switch after these steps since we had the swtich turned on.
1) go to SXMB_MONI and select all the msgs with "Scheduled for outbound processing" and hit the "Cancel manually" button on top the sxmb_moni screen..
this will change the MSG status from 11 to 21 in S*MAST table
2) then run the rxsmb_delete_msgs in background. Schedule the job every 2 or 3 minutes.
the problem with this job is that picks up only X number of msgs each time to delete. This job with delete the msgs if you don't have table switch activiated but if you do then the REORG flag in S*MAST table will be set to DEL and then when you the table switch the deletion will take place.

About the only thing you can try is using the Online Internet Recovery system to reinstall Lion on your Mac over the top of the current install. that will reset all system files and should not touch your personal files or the apps you have installed.
Or iof you have a recent Time Machine backup use that to restore your Mac to that point in time.

When I try to burn cd's I get the message 'cancelling disc burn' and an error code '4280', also I can't burn cd's on WMP all this has started after I upgraded, any ideas?

Since I upgraded to the latest version of itunes I can't burn discs, I just get the message 'cancelling burn' with error code '4280', it was working fine before I upgraded, I am using Windows XP, any ideas?

Error while opening iTunes CD driver. This could be caused by a corrupted iTunes file or a conflict with other older CD burning applications, either currently installed or previously installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:

SAP PI Message Cancellation Alert - Message does not have restartable error status

Version: 7.1
Scenario: File --> PI -->SOAP
We have a situation where a PI message in Integration Engine shows error status.We want to cancel the message in IE but are unable to do so.
On clicking Cancel for this message in SXMB_MONI, we are receiving an alert "Message does not have restartable error status".
In SXMSPMAST table, value for ITFACTION is DEL.
We do not want to run report RSXMB_DEL_TO_ARCH, that would change status of all messages with DEL status to ARCH.
Is there a way to Cancel or Change the Status of this single message?

Tried that too, but to no avail.
Strangely, the log shows NO_ERROR_STATE for the cancelation of this message thru RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES.
But in SXMSPMAST table the status of this message is 14 (System Error - Manual Restart Possible).

Trying to sign in on one web site, I get this message: Cancel OpenID

The web site is for my electric bill. I have to open Safari, and sign in from there. The message I get using Fireox when I put in my user name and password is: Cancel OpenID. The web site is EPB.NET, and they have checked everything on their end and have no suggestions other than it's a browser incompatibility.
Yes, I've deleted cookies, history, cache and such. Yes, I've disabled all extensions.
It has been a problem for months.
Should I just make Safari my default browser?

You can go back to the release, but need to consider the different options.
You may either run both versions, but they will need separate profiles. Or you may downgrade to the Release version. It would be relatively easy to copy bookmarks etc

You will want to try to use at least some of those files. Put them somewhere safe outside Firefox profile or program paths. Your Desktop or My Documents would do.
Also if you only want to retain bookmarks the easiest method without messing with profile files is to use the backup option before you change over.

If you have both versions running with separate profiles it does have the advantage that you can take your time in migrating profile files. Here is the info on running multiple versions and profiles

Incidentally the Firefox version & channel previously known as Aurora and now know as Developer Edition now installs by default as an additional version and installs with its own separate profiles.

You could simply try installing Firefox 35.x over Firefox beta.
It will probably work. But issues could occur with the profile. More generally problems will occasionally also occur with program files when downgrading.
It would be best to do a clean install (explained in article linked above) removing the program files; and also renaming the profile folder. After installing overwrite only some of the files such as places.sqlite

Message cancelation in SXMB_MONI

Hello!
Messages in error can be canceled in SXMB_MONI to prevent reprocessing by the restart job.
Is there a way to find out who canceled a particular message?
The Message History in SXMB_MONI only shows when the message was canceled but not the user id which canceled it.

Hi,
You can checkthe user who has cancelled the message in Sxmb_moni by changing the layout in moni itself.
Goto SXMB_MONI -->Click on Select Layout (a Button on extreme right above XML Messages) > Click on Select Layout> you will get a list on right as well as left > Choose User name at last from Left LIST of Layout parameters.> Now you can see USER NAME in SXMB_MONI message on same line at extreme last at right.

Error message cancelled disk burn error 4000 unknown error

i have burned music before now all of a sudden this error message comes up about not being able to burn the disk with an unknown error the only thing i can think of is that the other day i made a back up of my library that i know is the only thing that changed

could you post your DVD/CD diagnostics, please?
in itunes, go "help > run diagnostics", select DVD/CD diagnostics and paste the complete results into a reply.

Excise / Billing cancellation

I want to make a check for billing cancellation, that ,first the user has to cancel the excise invoice and then only he can cancel the billing document when he cancelling billing document,
similarly if he is cancelling a delivery then first he need to cancel the excise invoice and then delivery doc.
plz guide me as how i will maintain this check, as complusory, using which functional module or user exit

Yes in the said user exit only, I had applied the same logic in Form USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT as follows:-

In fact, my case is that the end users without closing the delivery related proforma, they were cancelling the delivery document which standard allows to do so. So I have applied the above logic and it is working fine all these years.
May be you can try with any other user exits also which the ABAPer can do this.

IDOC error message

hi gurus
in my client place, when ever system sees 3 error messages(canceled PO, canceled line item in PO, free goods) it will automatically reject them, now my requirement is to add new error meesages to this automatic rejection program.
so please suggest me what would be the possible solution for this kind of issue.

for cancelling confirmations you may use BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CANCEL

Double Cancellation of a Billing Document

Dear all,
I am facing a challenging problem (at least it is challenging to me), I had created an billing with no SO, just with the Article Document. I used VF02 to cancel the billing document by selecting each line item and then cancel item, because it doesn't allow me to use VF11 to cancel. (I don't know why). It was working fine and I had already cancelled more than 20 billing documents using this method. However, I made a mistake by cancelling a billing document twice.
A billing document 5001366372 was original created and planned to be cancelled. I open the VF02, enter the 5001366372 then enter, select the line item and then click cancel item. After that I saved the document, a cancel billing document had been created - 5400002606. However, I accidentally re-do the process and the system allows me to delete such billing document (5001366372) again, with another cancel billing 5400002607. From my understanding, the billing document cannot be deleted again once it had been deleted, I don't know why I can delete this twice. This is one of my question.
But the more important question is, I need to delete the second cancel billing document (5400002607) but I can't. I tried to use VF11 to cancel, but the system stopped me with an error message "Cancellation document 5400002607 cannot be cancelled". Of course I have tried the other one 5400002606 with the same result. I also tried to change the document in VF02 but failed. I just want to cancel or delete such billing document in anyway it can (along with the corresponding accounting document). Can anyone have any idea on this issue?

Hi Mandy,
The response "Cancellation document cannot be cancelled " is expected one. You can cancel an invoice document either in VF02 or in VF11. However once the cancellation document is created, you cannot cancel the cancellation document. You only have to create a debit memo to reconcile this difference.
The cancellation document types are S1 or S2 depending on the scenario. These documents cannot be reversed. This is the expected behaviour of the system

"Cancelled Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection English Windows"- problems downloading the trial

Hi, I'm trying to download the Adobe CS5 Master COllection, but when the "Akamai Download Manager" pops up and should start the download, the two downloadbars disappears and I get the message "Cancelled Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection English Windows". I've tried with Chrome, Mozilla and internet explorer, as well as restarting the computer, but that doesn't work.
Anyone knows how to make this work?

Just use the browser's download function. There should be a choice in the download link to download directly or with the Akamai Downloader.
And don't use Internet Explorer. Use Firefox or Chrome.

Deleting error messages in ABAP stack and JAVA stack

found some useful answers here about deleting messages
which are successfully delivered!
What I miss is an answer about:
a) Error messages in RWB
In Component monitoring -> Archiving you can plan a job to delete messages in status "successful" or "Cancelled with errors".
To cancel jobs you have to do this one by one. With reaction time from page manual cancellation needs hours for 100 messages (Ok, there is a multiple selection button you can use to tag per list screen!).
Now I have lots of message here
- System error
- to be delivered
- cancelled with errors (from system, special case, see next question)
ready to be erased (yes, sure about that!)
Is this the only way here to proceed?
Other question: looks like there is a default time frame for the job which looks like it is more than two months for "successful". "Cancelled with errors" is only deleted from list when reaching this status with the available button "Cancel" but not for messages with status "Cancelled with errors" set by the system.
Any chance to change that time frame.
And what about the messages "Cancelled...." by the system?
b) ABAP stack
OK, delete job is running. But looks like there is a default time frame "delete older than 2 months" (different from a! where it is more than 2 months)
I tried to delete some error messages with function "Cancel message with errors".
Now these messages are cancelled in SXMB_MONI (displayed with different status sign "Pencil").
Starting deletion job has no effect on them. Why? Because they are cancelled today and are not considered by the time frame of the deletion job?
Any help is appreciated!
(This tool is confusing me more and more! )

Cancellation of Cancellation invoice - S1

Hi all,
We have reversed a F2 type invoice with VF11 transaction with Cancellation of Invoice S1. The original invoice date was 19/12/07 (period 12 2007)and the cancellation invoice has posted the documents with the same date (period 13 2007).
The user now wants to cancel out this 'Cancellation invoice' and post the cancellation again in the current period (03 2008). Is this possible? The Billing document type S1 does not have Cancellation type (Tx VOFA) in the configuration. Trying VF11 on this gives a message 'Cancellation of Cancelled invoice not possible'.

Hi,
What you can do is to invoice again the delivery (VF01) because the status of the delivery is now being processed and post it to billing date 19/12/07 which you originally billed, then cancel it by indicating the billing date to current date which you mentioned 03/2008.

Error message 4261 when trying to burn discs

Arghh, this is driving me mad. Since I updated to Itunes 11, I have been unable to burn playlists to disc. I'm a teacher and need to do this a lot for my work. I've wasted about 20 blank CDs as they start burning, then after a few tracks I get the message "Cancelling disc burn" and the disc is ejected with the error message 4261. I've tried changing the burn speed, I've unchecked the box about including CD text. Why is it doing this and more importantly, how can I stop it?
Can anyone help?
