Message center number

hi people ive got the nokia n95 mobile and when i go to send a text message for some reason it keeps asking me for the message center number ive ranged my mobile network and they gave me the number to put it but every time i got to send a text it keeps asking me for the number this has never happened befor does anyone know what to do to stop this from happening

Usually the number is picked up from the SIM card automatically.
Otherwise, in the "Messaging" app, you can hit "Options", choose "Settings", then "Text message", then "Message centres" and there hit "Options" again, then "New message centre".
Then go back to the text message settings and select it for "Message centre in use".

On your BlackBerry, pres the gree dial key and them enter ##000000 and press the green dial key again. You should get the CDMA Service Edit screen.
The first line will be your phone number.
The second line (IMSI_S) should be your service center, and if not, enter the number there and save.

Change/Edit the message center number in Xperia X 10 ( Not Mini)

Dear All,
I bought xpria X 10 yesterday and i am facing 2 major problems.
1) I am unable to send sms , i am sure i have to change my message center no but i dont know how to do it ? The instructions are given about Mini but not Xperia X 10.
2) Not able to sync contacts from my old Nokia N 96 .

1. X10 SMS service center number is system default and cannot be editor.
X 10 mini has an option of changing a message center number but this facility is not in X 10 Xperia.
Wat you advise me to do now ? I can receive messages but am not able to reply to send sms to anyone.
I went to my service provider and then told me the message center number but i am not able to edit the same in my phone

Hello. As my subject states, i can't seem to send text messages (but i can receive them). I'm told by my carrier that i need to change my service center number (and they provided it). I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. Does this only occur with 10.6.8? I just gave this a try on my 10.8.3 system with AIR 3.6 but couldn't reproduce the crash on quit. However, I also was unable to log into the application due to lack of credentials. Could you please open a bug on this over at bugbase.adobe.com? If we need to log in to reproduce the bug, please send any test credentials to [email protected] Once the bug has been entered, please let me know the bug number so I can attach the symbolicated crash log to the bug report.

MS Word issues with verizon message center

It seems that when I have the "Verizon Message Center" open with e-mails displayed, I have serious problems with MS Word - whether is is open or not. This has occured with both Office 2007 and 2010.
Word reports a number of errors about opening the environment, wants to save changes to the Normal template, etc. The problem is particularly pronounced when attempting to attach a Word file to an e-mail.
Has anyone seen this? Any thoughts?

welcome to the world of a pop server. They do not function they way you want. You would need to move to a imap server like gmail for the functionality you are looking for.

From the start screen, tap the Messaging tile
Tap the More icon (...).
Tap settings.
Tap the SMS center number field.
Enter the desired number.
Note: The default number is +xxxxxxxxxx
Tap save.

yes, simply disable autostart. Click on briefcase in tasklist, then uncheck box:
Dieses Programm beim Start von Windows ausführen.
At start-->programs-->thinkvantage you can acitivate it.

Problem with HP Photosmart Premium - HP Message Center

I purchased the HP Photosmart Premium (C410a) approximately 2 weeks ago, and am having issues with HP Message Center. Everything else on the printer is working perfectly.
During the first week, I would get messages from the HP Message Center if the ink was low or if the printer was out of paper. However, I have just realised that for the last week I am no longer receiving these messages.
When I opened up the HP Message Center, the log showed that there had been no messages created for the past week. When I deleted the message log, my printer disappeared from the left hand side in Message Center, and the icons at the top (i.e. Network Configuration and Maintain Printer) can no longer be selected as they are greyed out.
About the same time the HP Message Center stopped providing messages, I ran the HP Printer Software Update 2.6 (which was offered through Apple Software Update). I don’t know if this was the cause of the issue.
I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the software using both the CD and the version from the HP Website but have had no luck in fixing this. Perhaps the Software Update 2.6 made a change that is not being reversed by the uninstall, but I am just guessing.
As I mentioned everything else with the printer is working perfectly. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently bought a new N96 on a vodafone contract, and as i was previously on 02 i had to wait a few days for them to transfer my number over.... My number then got transfered over yesterday and i then went to send a text message and it asked for my message centre number which i didnt know at the time so i just put in my mobile number as i didnt have a clue what the message centre number was... I have just got my message centre number from someone over the phone but i keep trying to change it and it just comes up with the message "unable to change settings. Value read from SIM card" can anyone give me any assistance on how to get this properly working...
Cus i've now got a new phone and cant send any texts on it.

This number is used to configure your phone for sending text messages.

Before that reset ur phone to default factory settings........
*#7780# with default code 12345 but do make a back up
second option: try to create a new message centre number.
messaging->options->text message->message centres->options->new message centre
enter the correct information, then go back to textmessage->message centre in use. and choose the new message centre.
last option left which is to head to the vodafone shop, they will help you configure the phone or change the sim card for you.

How do I disable Verizon Message Center?!?!

I am getting pop up ads on my sceen EVERY DAY that float over all applications and windows. These ads are trying to sell me Verizon Internet Security Suite. How do I get rid of these annoying ads?
I do NOT have any verizon progams on my computer, though I used to have Verizon In Home Agent installed, but I uninstalled this a long time ago.
The program in Task Manager is "Verizon Message Center" and the process is "DisplayAgent.exe"

Try removing IHT_MessageCenter (or something like that) from Add or Remove Programs. I just did it, so I'm not sure if it will work, but it looks like it should.
I'd also recommend sorting by publisher and uninstalling everything from Verizon.

TV Message Center Wont turn off!!!

The most useless and frustrating app in the entire thinkvantage package has got to be the Message Center.
With the latest updated version, it seems to have developed a mind of it's own. Removed from the startup menus for all users, and the preferences set to NOT run on startup, it STILL runs on startup, and the preferences window is RESET to default.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? The obvious solution is to simply delete it...

Upload saved emails from Thunderbird to Verizon Message Center?

I have used T-Bird for Verizon email for a long time. Now, for sync reasons with my Verizon phone, I would like to switch to Verizon Message Center. Can I upload my saved emails to VMC? How about contacts and calendar? (There are instructions for POP like Gmail, etc, but not for downloaded/saved emails.)

In general no, it doesn't accept uploads. You could send a copy to yourself.

Hopefully simple question. Event ID 2 Task Category (2) Lenovo Message Center Plus Admin

Hey group,
Wanted to ask you guys what I was missing. In my event log as the title implies I have a Event ID 2 Task Category (2) error in Lenovo Message Center Plus Admin coming as a result of a 404 error. Issue is I don't know what page it is looking for when it is tossing me the 404 error. Is this a result of Lenvo Updater goofing up using the ADM templates for GPO or is this something else? Would be helpful if it registred the non working link it was trying to obtain so we could isolate it better. Thoughts on this? Thanks!

try this when you download the file save it to your download folder then right click it and run as admin. it says there is no Lenovo Digital Signature I tried to install it didn't work but I did it this way and it worked
