try this when you download the file save it to your download folder then right click it and run as admin. it says there is no Lenovo Digital Signature I tried to install it didn't work but I did it this way and it worked

    Hey group,
    Wanted to ask you guys what I was missing. In my event log as the title implies I have a Event ID 2 Task Category (2) error in Lenovo Message Center Plus Admin coming as a result of a 404 error. Issue is I don't know what page it is looking for when it is tossing me the 404 error. Is this a result of Lenvo Updater goofing up using the ADM templates for GPO or is this something else? Would be helpful if it registred the non working link it was trying to obtain so we could isolate it better. Thoughts on this? Thanks!

  • Message Center Plus 20301 messages.

    I ran Lenovo updates on my Thinkpad Edge e530 this weekend.  Message Center Plus not says there are 20301 messages but when I open, it say no messages.  I tried to uninstall but get an error that the log file cannot be found.  How do I fix or delete?

  • Message Center Plus installed language issue

    I have an English version of Windows 7. Why does the Message Center Plus Installshield Wizard use a different language? (Dutch)
    It's not the first time that an installation wizard uses a different language than the display language... Why?
    Any suggestions?

    The default input language of my computer is English but... this doesn't seem to apply to the default user account (and system accounts). So I went to Control Panel -> Region and Language and copied my current settings to the "New User accounts" (and also to "Welcome screen and system accounts).

    Wait a moment ...  This is for NEW accounts. So why do wizards not use the settings of the "Current user" ???
    Weird Windows. Why make it easy if it's possible to make it complicated? :-/
    BTW: this changed the language of the wizard (i.e. the language used when installing Message Center Plus) but Message Center Plus still uses Dutch instead of English... and I can't find where to change the settings (preferences) of Message Center Plus.
    Any ideas/suggestions?

    I've installed the message center plus, since then the EventViewer gives this message
    DirectoryNotFoundException -> Exception message: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\MessageCenterPlus\LocalRepository\Messages'.
    What have I missed ?

    Sorry to hear that you faced such a problem.If you want to system update to hide future versions of message center plus
    click on the plus sign and instead of selecting it in the enlarged menu choose hide the update. Then you won't see it next time you run System Update.

  • Problem with WCF-Custom adapter (WS HTTP Binding with reliable messaaging) - Error event logged, even though transaction completed Sucessfully

    Hi All
    I am using WCF-Custom (WS HTTP Binding) with Message security as Windows and using Reliable messaging in the send port. Its a static Port. 
    Every thing works fine as expected for the interface. ie the transaction is success. After a min of the transaction completion. I am getting the following error
    01. I have not checked Propagate Fault message (as a solution provided in another blog)
    02. Its a static Port
    03. I am using reliable messaging
    The below error events are logged in the event viewer
    The Message Engine Encountered an error while suspending one or more Messages ( ID 5677)

    The transport proxy method MoveToNextTransport() failed for adapter WCF-Custom: Reason: “Messaging engine has no record of delivering the message to the adapter. This could happen if MoveToNextTransport() is called multiple times for the same message by
    the adapter or if it is called for a message which was never delivered to the adapter by the messaging engine”. Contact the adapter vendor
    Should I have log this issue with Microsoft through Service request ? or is there any work around is there. Unfortunate is I cannot remove the reliable messaging from the service.

    in my case i am not using dynamic port.
    In my scenario, i have a number of dehydrated orchestrations that become active every Monday 6:00 AM UTC and make to calls to a WCF service, to spread out the load I have implemented a load distribution logic where orchestrations send request to service
    in every 1 minute (not at the same time). but still i get this error sometime.
    I have opened a ticket with MS support but thought that someone might have already found the root cause.
    Let me know if there is one.

    If I install ThinkVantage Productivity Center here:

    , do I still need to download and install the separate Message Center application here:

    The reason I'm asking is because after Productivity Center installation, there is already a Message Center window at the bottom of the Productivity Center interface. But when I search Lenovo, there is another Message Center that can be downloaded and installed.I.e. does the Productivity Center Message window still work without the separate Message Center installer?
    Also, Lenovo informs that ThinkVantage Sytem Updates will no longer work here:

    and we have to use Message Center Plus. Is this a stand alone application or does it need the separate Message center Installer discussed above also?

    In this situation it is important to devide tow applications, that are described in here.
    First one is Message Center. The second application is Message Center Plus.
    The functionality of these two applications is almost similar, BUT they are actually independent applications.
    Message Center Pluss was release in the time, where there was a "dead time" for ThinkVantage System Update. This application should only pop up some windows, when there is a new update detected of some application or driver. By that time some people were looking on this as a permanent replacement for ThinkVantage System Update. But luckyli TVSU got back online. So in this situation, I would not even look at this application, becasue it has no GUI, no way how to configure it and it will only pop upp windows when you least expect it. But yes, if you want to have it installed, ... your chose
    I just rather like my system clean and if I install something then I want to be able to disable, or modify it.
    So basically you can have either both, or only one installed. It is not an issue at all.

  • Message Center -- how to review messages?

    How can you go back and view messages that have popped up previously? So far, all I've seen is ads, but 20% off accessories wasn't a bad thing when I wanted a keyboard with an embedded trackpad (Adesso's are {content would be filtered}.)

    Hmm... well, it appears I can at least make the most recent message pop up several seconds after I Run
    "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\Message Center Plus\MessageCenterPlus.exe"
    Still would prefer to review messages in a list or something.

    Hi,
    As per the error logs it seems you have the Form element twice in your web config file.  Just take one or the other one out. if you did any changes in web. config file please share and elaborate little more about the changes if you have made recently before

    i think this has to do with the "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service".
    If you don't need the service than try to stop it:
    Start Central Administration > Operations > Services and stop the service.
    or 
    If you need it the service, try this:
    Start Central Administration > Operations > Service Account
    Change the service account to "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service" And Select a "Network Services" Click Save

    Tap the little claendar icon at the top left (next to the search icon) and see what calendars are set up in WeekCal.  If none are enabled, then enable the one(s) you want to use.

  • Satellite L755-S5368 - PrintService Error Event ID 372

    I got a Toshiba Satellite L755-S5368 laptop with Windows 7 64b. I have an HP 1020 LaserJet printer with the latest HP software installed lj1020-HB-pnp-win64-en.exe that I can find from HP. The printer works fine, but everytime I print something an error message is logged in Event Viewer.
    I googled this, but did not find anything that matches what I am getting. Everything I saw on goolge the printer actually would not print, but mine prints fine.
    Does anyone know how to get Event Viewer to stop logging the code everytime I print to the HP laserjet 1020?

    The document Microsoft Word - 2012-2, owned by YYY, failed to print on printer HP LaswerJest 1020. Try to print the document again, or restart the print spooler.
    I get this anytime I print to the laserjet 1020 with Word, Excel, Notepad, Acobat, etc. Like I said, it prints fine, but I want to get rid of the error code being logged everytime I print.
    I have posted this at both sevenforms plus the HP support forums, I have not gotten a response from either site.

    Sorry I didn't realise that your printer doesn't use PCL (printer control language) - your computer converts a document to a printer specific file whereas with a PCL compliant printer your computer creates a file to one of the PCL standards and sends that to the printer.
    The only other suggestion I have is that occasionally self extracting and installing driver files get it wrong. I'd try uninstalling and deleting (if possible) the printer drivers and unpack the files out of your "exe" file to disk and then do a manual "Add a printer" printer

    Can you let us know if you get any Blue Screen crush error while using your comptuer?
    Generally we can safely ignore the errors in the Event log. Aas we don't if you have get other issues in your computer, you can test your computer in the Clean Boot mode. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service.
    You can try the the following steps:
    1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
    2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
    3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
    Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.
    Please test this issue in this Clean Boot environment, if the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can use the dichtomy to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue. You can refer to the
    KB929135.

    This is a very poor answer.  This guy doesn't know what he's talking about because if you tell someone its ok to  "safely ignore the errors in the event log"  as a blanket instruction ESPECIALLY because as he stated so himself
    he didn't know if there were other issues with the OP's pc then he's giving really bad advice. If you ignore errors in the event log then over time your system will degrade and you will have other issues.. Every error on your pc should NOT be ignored.
    It should be decided on a case by case situation.
    Furthermore this is an error involving the Windows Session which it states has failed. Definitely should NOT be ignored.
    I've got the same error which has suddenly just showed up. No BSOD, Do not have WHS installed and all my media center connectors have NEVER been connected. I don't believe this is a service issue. I think it has something
    to do with kernel event tracing.
    Of course, it's just my opinion....I could be wrong!

    I have completed MSSQL server configuration and while configuring VMM the below error displayed in the wizard:
    An internal error has occurred trying to contact an agent on the WIN-NTJTNEJ1UCN.mydomain.com server: : .
    Ensure the agent is installed and running. Ensure the WS-Management service is installed and running, then restart the agent.
    I have checked that the following services are running:
    1) Verified WS-Management srvice 2) MSSQL server + MSSQL (agent)  3)SC VM Manager Agent  4)  Windows management instrumentation .
    I have joined the VM (on which installing SC VMM) in a domain(as per install guide) and installing VMM using domain account & it is in local Administrators group.
    Also I would like know if there is any stand alone SC VMM installer. If yes then please let me know the installer location & install guide.
