Message error "Define an assignment set in the runtime repository"

Hello Experts,
I'm creating a new component and when I'll assign the view created to be displayed in the screen the follow message appears "Define an assignment set in the runtime repository".
Best regards,
Caíque Escaler

Hi,
I am sure that when you Click on your view in component workbench, this message must be flashing up.
Correct me if i am wrong.
Now first thing is its not an error but an info message.
There is nothing wrong in your developments. It just the fact that just creating a view does not mean we can use it. To use it, you must assign it to either a Window or a View Set or an Overview page in Runtime repository and thats why system tell you that you must do the view assignment.
Go to the runtime repositoy and assign the view. Now whether it to be assigned to a viewset, overviewpage or window, depends upon your requirement. If your view is Assignement Block, you will attach it to an overviewpage . If its a separate edit/display view then you may attach it in existing viewset or Main Window.
You can also create an empty window and attach your view to it..Ultimately view assignment completely depends upon what you want the view to be used as.
Hope it solves your problem.

Suchita

  • Error in View configuration "Define an assignment set in the runtime rep.."

I have enhanced a standard component u2018BP_HEADu2019 and have enhanced the view u2018BP_HEAD_OVERVIEWu2019 in it to work on the configuration. But when I go to the configuration tab it says, "Define an assignment set in the runtime repository" and I do not see any blocks on the left side of the configuration.
Am I missing anything in the runtime repository?

    HI,
You cannot modify the SAP default views. You have to define a role key at:
IMG -> CRM -> UI Framework -> Define Role Configuration Key.
Once you have defined the role configuration key you need to assign your role configuration key to your business role at:
IMG -> CRM -> Business Roles -> Define Business Roles
Select your business role and click on "Details" icon and you would need to assign your role key there.
In the Web UI configuration you need to first copy the configuration and in the next step you would do the necessary modification. During copying of the configuration you would need to mention your Role Key.

  • CRM 5.2,  how to define an assignment set in the runtime depository?

We are using CRM 5.2. I have created a new component and view and the view is exposed as an interface view. Now i have to include this in the overview page of BP_HEAD component. I have enhanced BP_HEAD component and enhanced the view required as well( View Name BPHeadOverview). I have added my new component as the used components in BP_HEAD.
But when i open the enhanced view, i don't see any available assignment blocks. Standard overview page of BP_HEAD had some available assignment blocks but the enhanced one doesn't. Also following message is shown  "Define an assignment set in the runtime depository". How can i add my new component and interface view to the available assignment blocks of the overview page of BP_HEAD? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Sudipta,
Thanks for your help. I am making good progress.
I believe i am quite close to completion now. Need your help with following questions though -
    1) I have a context node BUILACTIVITY. Now i need to only display partial list from this context node? Is there a way i can do this directly with the context node or i have to create a new node and manipulate? If so any tips there?
    2) When i create new view it doesn't have graphical representation option any more? Is it that way only? If so can i just create table view and use it?
    3) When i create a form view and try to insert a table using <crmic:tableView> tag, i am getting an error messge saying "//BUILACTIVITY/Table" is not a table? What could be the issue?
Thanks a lot for your help again.

Please read this whole message carefully, especially the warnings, before doing anything.
    1. The changes to your configuration suggested here should be considered provisional; they may not solve your problem, or they may remove functionality that you find useful. If a third-party system modification that you want to keep is causing the problem, seek help from its developer.
    2. WARNING: Back up all data now if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to its present state, even if it becomes unbootable. If you’re not sure you can do that, STOP — DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING. If you’re dissatisfied with the results of the procedure suggested below, restore from your backup. I will not be responsible for the consequences, and I will not be able to help, if you ignore this warning.
    3. You should either remove or update the following system modification(s), if an update is available from the developer:
    Parallels
and definitely remove at least the following:
    Boom
    † MacKeeper
    † VirusBarrier
    4. Whatever you remove must be removed completely, and (unless otherwise specified in this message) the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the third-party developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job. I can't be more specific, because I don't install such things myself. Please do your own research.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, email the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
Again, please don't ask me to do this research for you. You can do it better than I can, because I haven't installed the product and I may not even know what it is.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
WARNING: Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.
    5. I recommend that you never reinstall the modifications marked with a dagger (†) above, if any. If your problem is resolved after uninstalling all the above modifications and rebooting, but you still want to use some of those not marked with a dagger, you can experiment with putting them back, one at a time, testing carefully after each step. Keep in mind that system modifications may be incompatible with each other or with future OS X updates, so it may not be clear which one is at fault.
    6. If you still have problems after making the suggested changes and rebooting, post again. Remember: if you don’t like the results of this procedure, you can undo it by restoring from the last backup you made before you started.
Remove the "MacKeeper" crapware as follows.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions, nor do I intend to repeat the test.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Applications from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. A dialog will pop up asking why you want to uninstall it. You don't have to provide that information. Enter anything you like in the text box, then click the Uninstall button. All the functional components of the software will be deleted. That's the only useful feature of "MacKeeper:" it deletes itself. Reboot.
Do not try to uninstall by dragging the MacKeeper icon in the Dock or the LaunchPad to the Trash.
Here are some general suggestions. If you want your computer to be usable, don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” “extenders,” “cleaners,” “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this kind of material is useless, or worse than useless.
The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The most extreme example is the “MacKeeper” scam.
The only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it.

    Thanks,
    Mayank

    Hi Mayank
I had already delete my enhancement set using SM34 -> BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT as mentioned. However, I didn't find any Z classes created using SE80 -> BSP application.
I had wanted to enhance component BT130I_OPPT -> ItemDetails view but somehow the standard repository got deleted and now I hit this 'Error when interpreting the runtime repository' message whenever I tried to enhance the view.
In addition, the customised fields I created using EEWB, which used to appear under context node BTADMINI, is no longer there.
Are you able to help? I can send u screen shots if necessary.
    Thank you very much!

  • View YLOY102H_MSH/YSolCONconfMA is not defined in the runtime repository

    Hi Gurus,
We have enhanced one LOY102H_MSH component and added various custome view in it.
After 3-4 months there is a requirement in which I need to add on custom view in the same component.
i added on custom view YSolCONconfMA  and at the time of creation I have added two context node (Membership and MAGenAtt). I have tired without context node as well but same error message is coming as mentioned below.
Problem : 1 When I am double clicking and try to open the new created view it giving message "View              YLOY102H_MSH/YSolCONconfMA is not defined in the runtime repository that was loaded"
                   2. these two context nodes are not coming with the new created view.
Any budy have have any idea.....
    Best Regards,
    Durga

    Hi Durga,
You can cross check the created view in the YLOY102H_MSH. Check whether the context nodes are there
    under the view.
In the used component, check in the repository if you have this interface view availabel under the
    component usages.

  • Error while loading the runtime repository via HTTP

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to delete an enhancement and when I enter the component name and the enhancement set in BSP_WD_CMPWB. I get the following error when right click the enhanced view and select delete : Error while loading the runtime repository via HTTP. How do I delete this enhancement?
    Regards
    Abdullah Ismail.

if for some reason the runtime repository is not coherent, you get an error each time you try to read it (and this is the case when you open a component using the transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB)
this is because the XML file is interpreted by a CALL TRANSFORMATION statement, and any incorrect node will raise an uncaught exception
    solution:
enhanced view is contained into BSP application you have created the first time you enhanced the component
go to SE80 and enter the BSP application where your objects are stored (the name you provided the first time)
there you can modify directly the objects, including the runtime repository which is stored under node "Pages with flow Logic"
once the correction is done, you can access again your component through transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB (and delete it properly if this is what you want to do)

  • "Error when interpreting the runtime repository"  BSP Component workbench

    Hello,
I have enhance the Component BP_HEAD_SEARCH under some enhancement set in my development system. After transporting all my changes to Quality system, when checking the same development in BSP_WD_CMPWB it is showing an error -- "Error when interpreting the runtime repository" for the same component and enhancement set.
I have copied the repository.xml file from the development and again transported it to Quality system, even then the same error is coming.
Could anyone please suggest how to remove it Quality system, the error is not coming in Development system.
    Regards,
    Shobhit Srivastava

    Hi Pankaj,
    Try as above said
find the enhancement Z_* bsp application ,compare it with SAP bsp application.
    if the XML file lost,
add the xml file toZ_* BSP application..
If it doesnt work leave it as it is.It will not affect your system. In our system also there is a  same error .
    Have a nice time!!!!!!!!!

Then in ICWEB, this enhancement affect to the view  connectionObject. And this view doesn't appear.
Someone had some problems to create an enhancement set for IUICOBJD component ??
Is necesary to make somenthing  with IUICOBJ component before to create the enhancement for IUICOBJD.
Could you tell me the steps to solve this??
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.

Hello Ismail, thanks for you help, I have tried to make this and the repository is the same code.
Do you know if is necesary to make something special to create an enhancement for IUICOBJD component ?? make something first with IUICOBJ and then with IUICOBJD???
I haven't any problems with other components for example with IUICMD the enhancement run ok.

  • About the runtime repository?

    Hi,
I'm confused by the runtime repository?
what was stored in the runtime repository when i deployed a map to a location?
i have two warehouse targets in my owb project.when i was deploying a map,a error occured.
    following was the error description:
"Cannot deploy to the target location because it is owned by a different runtime platform."
the map is used to load data from one table in a target warehouse to a table in another target warehouse.
who can tell me the reason? thanks in advance!

    Hi,
The runtime repository owns a set of targets. So for each target you can deploy only using the runtime repository that has this target schema registered to it.
It sounds like your target schema is therefore not managed by this runtime repository. You would have to register the target schema to this repository using the runtime assistant. Simply install a target into the existing target user.

  • Where is the runtime repository assistant???

    Hi all,
I am working with the OBI SE.
When I am deploying the objects I am getting an error because there is not a valid runtime repository. I found that I have to create the runtime schema with the runtime repository assistant but I don't find it in the menu.
Someone knows if it is installed with OBISE? What do I have to do to create the runtime schema? or, it is already created with the installation?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Victor.

The runtime repository is a part of OWB repository. It's not related to OBISE.
So, I'm assuming your question regarding the Runtime Repository is related to Oracle Warehouse Builder.
It seems like you've created the Design Rep, but did not created the runtime. This is not possible to achieve, unless you explicitly create like that.
You should run the OWB Repository Assistant and choose the BASIC INSTALL option, if you are using OWB on the same box as the database server.
Please, provide more details about your servers and software architecture, versions, os versions and releases.
    Best wishes,
    Marcos

  • How to install the Runtime Repository for the first time

Please let me know if I am correct...
We need to run the OWB Runtime Assistant Tool from the database server where we are to install the Runtime Repository and also the user with which it needs to be created should have the SYSDBA privileges. We run the OWB Runtime Assistant tool and then follow the subsequent instructions.
    -Arnab

The runtime repository was installed successfully, but I think we need to associate a target schema for the runtime repository as well where the deployable scripts will be kept.
I am not understand the fact that the runtime repository should 'own' the target schema ?? what does this mean ???
