Message Format Not Supported - error message

If I receive an MMS message when connected to my Mercedes SAP module I receive a "Not text" SMS message on the car system. When I disconnect from the car I have a txt message stored on my SIM that looks as if it should redirect me to the Orange website to collect my MMS.
The problem is I have to copy the message to the phone memory to read it and when I try to read it I get the "Message Format Not Supported" error message.
Does anyone know how to correct this I don't want to loose any MMS received whilst driving!!

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 classroom in a book lesson files "file format not supported" error message

Hey y'all. I have the creative Suite cloud membership and am learning Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and have the latest update. I have an iMac, version 10.8.2 and have been going through the lessons 1-8 so far from the 'Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Classroom in a book' with no problems. So far so good. Then, when I opened Lesson 9 project today, I realized that certain media was off line (see pic below-videos and maps) even though I had been able to open the project. I tried to see if it was a link issue but was unable to select the 'Link Media' option and the system did not give me the option to link media when opening a new project. The strange thing is that I am now able to open some lessons with everything working fine but when I try to open other lessons such as lesson 9 or 10 or 11 I notice media files offline after getting the "file format not supported" pop-up error message when attempting to open a project. It's random as some lessons I had opened previously now give this error message of file format not supported when they didn't in the past whilst others work. I have deleted all the lesson files from my hard drive and reinstalled them from the cd onto my hardrive but the issue persists. Any idea as to why all of a sudden Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is giving the error message "File format not supported"??? when opening the lessons. I have not changed any preferences. I've included some screenshots though I don't know how much help they will be... Is anyone else running into this issue??? Can anyone help???
NEVERMIND. I FOUND OUT ON MY OWN WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND IS NOW FIXED. YAY!

Why were you trying to link a file in the project to the project file itself? Shouldn't it be a video file or something? Like .mov .wav .avi .mp4 and not .prproj

When I try to upload mp3 files, I am getting 'File 1 is not a valid format' error message. It is a good mp3 file and infact I have uploaded many mp3 files earlier through the same Share.Ovi account. When I tried uploading using the email option, the file gets listed. What could be the problem?

AFP fails to connect to a PC volume and gives a "version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported" error message.
Has anybody come across this error and found a fool-proof solution? I have found some stuff on the web but nothing seems to work. In particular this one on the Apple Help doesn't:
      http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4700
I have a W2K3  server where the volume is. It's a new Mac with OSX 10.8 and is connecting with AFP (I don’t want to move to SMB yet). There are older Macs with lower OS and all of them work fine. I have checked all the basic stuff and it is set-up correctly (hosts file on Mac, network, etc.).
    Any help greatly appreciated,

    plsss help  thanx ....

@r3devil11 - sorry about late reply. So far R&D folks have not been able to reproduce this issue. One advice was to try changing text related settings in Facebook settings page and see if that has any effect.
There are some other threads where similar issue has been discussed (e.g. here) where some users mentioned that Facebook messages have been working but suddenly stopped (and they are seeing same message) so, could be that something has changed in a way how messages are delivered. Maybe you could also check with operator support if they are aware of any issue with Facebook messages in their network.

  • Video format not supported error

video format not supported error help

You get the error message when you try to sync your MOV / M4V / MP4 files from your iTunes to your iPad? The files are playable in iTunes?
Then, you'll need to change their so-called H.264 level to 4.1 or below. If you have a Mac, you'll need to use Subler. See http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/watching-videos-taken-max-roundup-mkv-mp4m4v-v ideo-converters for a complete tutorial; start at the paragraph starting with "After this, it's worth clicking the video track in the upper list if you want to play the video back in the stock Videos app on your iDevice and not in a third-party one".
The background explanation for all this is to be found at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/making-stock-videos-application-play-every-mp4 -files-possible . Note that it uses other, more akward utilities to do the level fixing. Again, if you have a Mac, Subler is your friend.

  • "Cannot play video - The Connected display is not supported" error message using Netflix 5.0.2 on my iPad

I'm running iOS 7.0.3 on my iPhone 4S and iPad (3rd gen) and have just upgraded to the current version of the Neflix app available in the Canadian App Store (5.0.2).
Although all other apps I've tried (e.g. Podcast, VLC) are able to properly output video & audio directly to my TV using the HDMI adapter (i.e. NOT via an Apple TV), the Netflix app pops up the error message "Cannot play video - The connected display is not supported".  If I start a video and then plug the HDMI cable in, it will play for a few seconds and then halt with the same error message.
Netflix & Apple were supposed to have been working together to fix the previous issue with this scenario which was causing audio to be output but no video.  The current Netflix app update was released yesterday and seems to have taken a step backward.
When I contacted Netflix support, they indicated that they have done whatever can be done from their side and this is now Apple's issue.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Kiron

    Hello all,
I have an iPad 2 16GB with iOS 7.0.3 and Netflix version 5.0.2. I cannot watch netflix on an External LCD monitor that I have through VGA out. I use bluetooth speakers, so the AirPlay is going to that for Audio. Before this update, this combo worked without an issue.
So as of Friday Nov. 8/2013, I contacted Netflix support, and they said they fixed the problem on their end, and the fix is on the Apple side of things, and to contact Apple support.
So, I contacted Apple support, and the first person I spoke to said I would have to agree to pay a $35 fee for 30 days of support to this problem since my unit is out of warranty. I said this isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue, and I'm not willing to pay to fix a problem you created. So I got a Senior Level advisor on the line, and she was helpful, and she's looking into the issue for me and said she'll contact me sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov. 12 or 13) to let me know of the issue.
Here's the thing: this is a combination of Netflix and iOS not working correctly with any of the Apple Authorized Dongles. This is truly a code error that some hot shot programmer had major oversight on, and their management didn't catch it either. There was no reason for Netflix to rush to get this Netflix update going until Apple sorted out the bugs in iOS 7.
Anyway, if I hear anything from Donna (the advisor), I'll post it and let you guys know. In the mean time, good luck!

  • Can't install Logic Studio 9 on clean install of Mavericks due to "powerpc applications not supported" error message

    Hello -
I've recently performed a clean install of Mavericks on my MBP.  I then attempted to install Logic Studio but was met with the error message "You can't open the application "LogicStudio.mpkg" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."  Mavericks was installed as an upgrade prior to the clean install, and at that time Logic Studio functioned normally.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Logic 9 or 8?
There is a bug in the installer program of Logic that makes Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks think that it is PowerPC.
Best solution would have been to install Logic BEFORE you upgraded to Mavericks, but before you backup, wipe and start all over, try to use Pacifist to install it and please report back.

  • Another Premiere Elements 10 " processor is  not supported" error message

I have the combination DVD, with Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10 bought just a few months ago. It came bundled with a digital camera.
Elements 10 will not instal because "the processor is not supported with this package"
My PC has a Pentium 4, 3Ghz proc, 2Gb ram and runs XP Pro SP3. which as far as I can tell meets the requirements. Idid see that a dual core Proc. is required to edit HD and AVH?? but my interst is only still in DV and I've assumed that the dual core is not therefore required.
I spent hours researching the problem yesterday and saw a solution to " follow PE 11 trial download route and choose PS 10" but no such option exists now. (presumably to get a version that would get around this)
Is there a solution to this please ?

A Pentium 4 is definitely able to run the program, box. It's just not going to run it very well -- particularly if you've only got 2 gigs of RAM and a video card with less than 1 gig of memory. You may be able to get by if your processor is a Hyper Threading Pentium.
You also should have 100 or so gigs of free space on your hard drive. (The best rule of thumb is to take Adobe's recommended minimums and double them -- and that's the MINIMUM power you should have.)
So I'm not sure why you're getting that message.
Have you manually gone to Windows Update and downloaded all of the non-critical updates? They often include important drivers and patches that don't download automatically.
If downloading those updates don't do it, I'd recommend you contact Adobe Tech Support.

  • "Messaging : feature not supported " ERROR on C7

Hy , a have a prob with my C7 ..After official update to Anna I got this error when trying to open Conversations , and when I receive a text ..it isn't  opening.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Does your messages open in conversation mode or inbox mode? If it opens in conversation mode, it may be that there may be a problem with your conversation app. Uninstall them and reinstall through software update. If that's not available, you may have to reinstall your Anna update. Just perform a soft reset before you try reinstallation method. If soft reset does not help, then go for reinstallation.

  • Unable to open message. Format not supported.

This problem has already  been discussed here however I can provide some more detailed information. Our company runs a network of automatic telemetry stations. The stations send short messages containing some data to the users. Even though the message contains only a plain text and can be displayed on most mobile phones without any problem, it can't be displayed on some Nokia phones, e.g.. N8 and 2630. The model 2630 shows "Message cannot be displayed". The N8 shows "Unable to open message. Format not supported", but the beginning of the message (preview) is readable in the inbox.
On the sender side the  Wavecom wireless CPU model Q2686 is used. I tried to send various messages using AT+CMGS command but regardless of the content they cannot be displayed on N8 and 2360.
Please help. If anyone is interested in this problem I can demonstrate it by sending an 'undisplayable' message to his mobile phone number.

    Hi,
I have N8, and same thing happened to me when i recieved MMS Confg. for using operator internet mobile,  "Message Format not supported"
about me i change to another GSM operator, and its work now.
i think u can add an access point manually, go to ur GSM Operator and take the setup details, and from conective > setting > Destinations > Add new acc. pt.
    Hope this will help u.

  • Sound has stopped working; failed to play test tone; format not supported by the device (Vista x64 Ultimate)

I can no longer hear any sound from my speakers/headphones. This happened suddenly yesterday without any hardware changes or noticeable software updates.
-- The sound is not muted and the volume is set to full.
-- In the device manager, my SigmaTel HD Audio device has no warnings or errors.
-- I can't find any related messages in the Event Viewer.
-- The primary audio device is selected as the default for playback. The mixer shows my media player as being mixed properly to the device.
-- In the sound control panel, under Playback > Speakers/Headphones > Properties > Advanced:
     - I get the error message "failed to play test tone" when I try to Test my Default Format (dvd quality)
     - I get the error message "format not supported by the device" when I try to change my Default Format
-- Note that unlike others who have similar problems, I'm not joined to a domain

    I followed the following steps:
        * using regedit, go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\AutoLogger\Audio and change the “Start” value from 0 to 1.
        * Reboot the machine
        * Try to play an audio file.
        * Post a link to the generated log file which you can find in: %WINDIR%\system32\LogFiles\Audio

Dell confirms it's an OS issue after troubleshooting with me for a couple of hours (wow)
Is there a way to look at this EVM file _without_ installing the Windows Driver Kit??

    Hi,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Windows Vista Forum.
Upon your description, I see that you have done a lot of research and tests. Unfortunately, none of these troubleshooting works.
Based on my experience, this issue related to "failed to play test tone" can be related to several reasons. It also includes hardware defect. I am confusing why Dell confirms that the issue is related to Operating System. Could you let me know what operation Dell had troubleshot with you?
Meanwhile, here I just provide more troubleshooting except what you performed. If it doesn't work, I may also need to recommend that you contact Dell for support.
    1. Microsoft has released a Hotfix to troubleshoot related to "Failed to play test tone".
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930883
    2. Make sure that these services are started.
    Windows Audio
    Multimedia Class Scheduler
    Remote Procedure Call
    Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
    3. I noticed that this issue occurred not long ago, I may need to suggest that you perform a System Restore to the previous restore point when the computer without any problem.
    System Restore
    ==============
    1)     Please click on Start and choose All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then Windows Backup.
    2)     Click Restore on the left pane.
    3)     Choose Basic Restore.
    4)     Follow the wizard and click Next.
    5)     If you would like to restore everything in the backup, we can check the box “Restore everything in this backup” on the top of the window.
    6)     We can also browse and choose certain files and folders to restore. Then, click Next.
    7)     Then choose the folder to save the recovered files and click Next.
    8)     When we see a “Restore is complete!” message, click Finish.
Meanwhile, as I know, I'm afraid that there is no other way to look at EVM file except Windows Driver Kit. Maybe there are some third-party software that out of my mind can look at EVM files, you may need to perform more research on Internet.
    Hope this helps. Thanks.
