Message from Apple Web Centre

On 30 May 10.00pm (AET) when I open the Safari, suddenly it came up a message from Apple Web Centre and ask me to delete some files because they got inflection or virus. I didn't do it. Is someone got the same request?

Do not do anything with that - it is NOT from Apple. It is a scam and a trojan. Get rid of the window. Do not download anything. If it downloads itself, check your computer and delete it. And read these:

  • At 3AM, within seconds, there were two attempts at using an "incorrect password" with my AppleID. The message from Apple was that it was probably a harmeless error. Seconds later, the third attempt worked, and that was the last my email has worked.Next???

At 3AM, there was one attempt at entering my AppleID password, which failed per the email message. A few seconds later, a second attempt failed and the email message from Apple was that it was probably a mistake caused by someone entering a wrong keystroke when trying to enter their own password. Well,, a few seconds later, the message was that I had successfully changed my password. Great.
Yes, it was a full twelve hours later that I saw this, since 3AM is a perfect time to hijack anyone, and I did do what it said about changing my password. But I want to know how someone changed my password at 3AM and had total access to my whole computer. My security is the highest Apple has.
Mostly, that was the LAST email I've gotten. I can't bring email online. I can't do anything.
I am mostly computer ignorant, which is why my daughter made me get an Apple in the first place. I love Apple. Any ideas at all the damage done? This seems like a big hole in Apple email. I am absolutely sure no one knew the password because I used a sequence I have never told anyone. Even my ex-husband of 35 years would have no clue.
Did someone have to know that password? Is there another way? Well, I guess so.
    Help. Those emails are critical.

Well if someone got access to your AppleID, they didn't get access to your computer, however, there is some information such as you iCloud information that they may have gotten access to.  If you changed your pasword back to something else, then they won't have access to it anymore either.  I'm not sure what is going on though because I have been getting a lot of those emails on my work AppleID that I have to have for work because I need to keep their phone seperate from all of my personal equipment.  It's just strange though that in the past few days I've been getting like 5 or 6 of those emails stating that an attempt was made to change my pasword a day.

  • HT1657 I rented the hunger games yesterday on my Apple TV it said it was going take 7-14 hours to download so i left it to download. I then received a message from Apple that i had purchased this movie. But now when I try to find it it"s not anywhere to b

I recently rented a movie using Apple TV and it said it was going to take 7-14 hours to download so I let it run. I also received a message from apple telling me that there was a request for this movie and they took the funds. But when I tried to find it on my purchases it was not there and when I went back to that movie it was asking me to purchase it again is this common and how do I get it back.

Not sure what happend there. But ATV only streams, no HD so if you leave it too long, the whole download gets lost.

I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
    On iPhone:
    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
    On Mac:
    Open "Messages" application
    Click "Messages menu > Preferences
    Click "Accounts"
    Select your AppleID account
Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble.  If it's green then you are using SMS.

  • Automated messages from Apple in a language I do not speak

    Hi Everyone!
For two weeks now everytime I connect to iCloud from any of my iOS devices, I get an automated message from Apple saying that I connected to iCloud using that specific device. The problem is that the message comes in French! Who can help me have Apple use English to communicate with me again????
All my settings in my devices and iCloud have the language set for English.
    Thanks a lot!
    The message is as follows:
    Cher(ère) User,
Votre identifiant Apple ([email protected]) a été utilisé pour ouvrir une session iCloud et iMessage à partir d’un iPhone 4S appelé « User´s iPhone ».
Si vous n’avez pas récemment configuré un iPhone avec votre identifiant Apple, il serait plus sûr de changer le mot de passe de votre identifiant Apple.

Same here. Except I am English and am in Spain and everything comes in Spanish. Just because I am in a country for a while does not mean I speak that language well enough to read all the details...
APPLE PLEASE DON'T ASSUME THINGS THAT ARE NOT CORRECT!

  • IPad Mail messages from Apple mail

New ipad getting 10,000 old messages from Apple Mail application (or Comcast server). How do I stop it and get only new messages as of today?

These are emails stored in the Sent folder in Mail, in 2 email accounts. Some are quite old, some recent. In addition, the Mail Inboxes were emptied, leaving only those emails that had been unopened. Those still on the server (I looked at Get Account Info in mail on different Mac to identify which) were downloaded and are in place in the ipad . In short, those lost were emails received and sent, stored locally on the ipad.
When I did the update, it said there was an error so I had to backup and restore, via itunes. I thought emails would be backed up in this proces. I don't use icloud. Thanks

Yes, the message is self-explanatory. You need a carrier who supports Apple's activation policy for an iPhone.

  • How do i remove messages from my notification centre?  If I remove it in system preferences when I reboot it is back.

    Hello,
I have gone through the process described on many websites, where as you go to system preferences>notifications and grab and move the Share Button for Messages from "In Notification Center" to "Not In Notification Center" but everytime I restart or reboot after the Share Button for Messages is back in the "In Notification Center" area.  How do I stop this?
    dofromon

    Hello Jan,
You are right there are no settings for Notification Center but if for instance you do not want Reminder updates to be shown through Notification Center then you need to de-select it from iCloud Preferences. I am unsure about Yosemite but I know in Mavericks they are linked. Check your other posting to the question v1ct0r had and there I have put a more elaborate answer. Notification Centre does not Remember Settings

  • Can't download Itunes from Apple Web site

When I click on download button, it goes right to the "thanks for downloading" splash page, and yet nothing has downloaded -- no download file box comes up, nothing. I managed to get the 7.1.2 .exe from another web site, but now I want to download the latest version, 7.2, but can't do it. I haven't had trouble downloading files from any other sourse -- only Apple. I tried turning all of the security features off, but that didn't work. any suggestions? thanks!

I had probs with 7.2. Reloaded 7.1 works fine. I think 7.2 needs some more work before it will work for me.
