Message from dedicated mailbox to msmq

As a software developer who develops enterprise applications I would like a mailbox to be set up to send incoming messages to an msmq queue so that a process or processes can pick them up from the queue to start some workflows that process the email.
Can this be done?
Thank you,
Phil Vuollet

Have you looked into Exchange Server Transport Agents (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd877026(v=exchg.150).aspx)? Using a transport agent, you should be
able to grab the incoming message and send it MSMQ, although I don't know the details.

    Please help!!

    Hi,
According to your description, I understand that you create a new mailbox for a user and imported Calendar items to this mailbox by using PST file.
If that is the case, the calendar items which are imported should be created by other user. It is just imported in this mailbox. Please check whether the original mailbox which these calendar items created on is still existed in Exchange server or not. Then
check the calendar items in the original mailbox.
Additionally, if the original user is still existed in your AD or exchange server, please assign Send As permission for the new user to this mailbox to have a try.

  • Error: You don't have permission to send messages from this mailbox.

When I try to email from an email Mailbox in SharePoint I'm getting this error message.
Error: You don't have permission to send messages from this mailbox.
This error only occurs if I try to send from the Project email i.e.
    [email protected]
I've never seen this error message before and previously never had this problem so I'm wondering if this is caused by a recent change.
    Cheers,

    Hi Mark,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got a permission issue when you emailed
     from a site mailbox.
    From the From address
[email protected], whether you are using Office 365.
By default, email sent from the site mailbox has a From address of the individual who sends the email. To allow a user to use the site mailbox email address as the
From address, you can give the user Send As permission for the site mailbox email address.
The permission seems to be for Exchange level, not SharePoint. So, please grant Send As permission to the user.

  • I cannot delete the messages from my mailbox

I cannot delete any messages from my mailboxes. Please help

If you are using the native Apple email app you should be able to swipe to the left and delete. If you can't then remove and reinstall the email account. If that does work
    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • Can't delete messages from Gmail mailbox

I use Apple Mail with Gmail.
When I delete a message from that mailbox, it disappears, but if switch to another mailbox and come back, it again there.
And actually there is no trash icon.
    iCloud mailbox works good.

In your Gmail settings go to labels, and check that the Trash is shown in Imap box is ticked.
If you do this, you will see a Trash folder in Mail, and you need to use that to trash an email.

  • Pulling messages from a mailbox - Unity Connections 8

    Hello,
I have a teacher with 20 or so messages from a crazy parent for I need to archive for potential legal reasons.  How can I export a single mailbox and save it as a bunch of audio files?  I've seen documention on export messages, but that was directed at people migrating or upgrading.
    Thanks in advance.
    -Ian

COBRAS is normally the tool we use to export mailboxes; however, that will store it in a Microsoft Access database. Your best bet is likely to enable IMAP access for that subscriber and just add the account to Outlook/Thunderbird.

  • I  am not able to remove messages from 1 mailbox

I am on a BB and the felloe who owns it set me up with an email address on that website. I get notifications to that mailbox plus personal messages. I have tried everything to remove the old notifications."Unable to move message. the message could not be moved to the mailbix trash" I have 49 I wish to remove. Can someone have a suggestion?

There are a few things to try. First try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then select the account, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
Amd another thing to try is to go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails.

  • Mail downloading all 800000 messages from Yahoo

So I installed Mountain Lion and set up my Yahoo! Mail account so that I could receive incoming messages in notifications center and sync my notes to my iPhone. Now Mail says it is downloading all 800000 messages from my mailbox. I've had this account for like 10 years and I like to keep all of my messages. Is there really no way to limit how many messages Mail downloads? The iPhone does this fine. Since the account is IMAP too, if I delete messages in mail it deletes them from the server. I guess I'll have to make an archives folder and move stuff from my inbox there and not sync it.
Also, my notes are not syncing with my iPhone...My iPhone is set to sync to yahoo notes, but when I clicked notes for iCloud it made me set up a @me account. Do I need to update to iOS 5.1 for notes sync to work with my iPhone?

    RGH!
So, I followed the advice on the other link (deleting the downloaded messages info file), and even deleted my whole sent messages.imapmbox and rebuilt it, but my computer keeps downloading all 7500 or so sent messages over and over (more or less every time I start up Mail after the computer has been shut down). The sent messages box keeps growing and growing until I rebuild. On my MBP the folder is 5GB or so, and currently the one on my (problem) MacPro is 14gb and will surely be bigger before the weekend is out.
Another thing: If I try to stop the messages from downloading (by clicking on the little 'x' next to the progress bar in the 'Mail Activity' window, then it just ADDS the 7500 messages again onto the total to be downloaded (meaning 15,000 messages downloading and the 22,500 if I try to cancel again)
This is highly frustrating, and potentially damaging to my system drive if I fail to keep tabs on the folder.
    Please, any other ideas/suggestions?

  • Move messages from server

Does anyone know how to move messages from the server to the local machine?
This is an IMAP account hosted at pair.com and I am over my allotment. Thanks.

    Michael Spencer wrote:

You would start by clicking on the "plus" sign at the bottom of the list of mailboxes and choosing "New Mailbox" with the choice of "On My Mac". Then drag messages from server mailboxes to the new mailbox. If those messages also remain on the server, you'll have to delete them from that mailbox.

  • Messages sent from secondary mailboxes getting stuck in Outbox.

I have two users who recently began having a problem with messages sent from secondary mailboxes getting stuck in their Outbox.
    The details:
    We're using Exchange Server 2010 version 14.03.0224.002
Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
    Office 2010 version 14.0.7140.5002 (32-bit)
The user in question whom I will call Jane has full rights and send as rights to the department's mailbox (which I will call "Common"), however, the Outlook profile on her computer is setup so that Common is the default mailbox
and Jane is a secondary mailbox.
The problem is that in the last few weeks messages send from Jane get stuck in the Outbox.  We have recreated Jane's Outlook profile on her computer which resolves the problem, but only for a day or two before it begins to happen again.
Additional info: Jane logs into her computer and her email as herself. As stated above she has full rights and send as rights to Common. Common also has full rights and send as rights to Jane's email.
We have used this setup successfully for many years for several of our users. The problem started with one user a few weeks ago and now a second user who accesses a different Common mailbox is having the same problem.  Both systems have been
thoroughly checked for viruses and malware, etc.
    Anybody got any ideas?

The same thing happens to me. Really irritating. However, even after rebooting, the mail is sometimes stuck in the outbox. Anybody have a solution?

Can't delete certain emails from Mail.  Instead, I get the message "An error occurred while moving messages to the mailbox, etc."  The problem appears randomly.

  • Smart Mailbox ignoring NOT unchecked box to include messages from Trash

I just created a new Smart Mailbox in Lion's Mail.  Despite NOT checking the box to include messages from Trash, messages from Trash are included AND I DON'T WANT THEM TO BE.  Any ideas?
    Anyone else with similar results?

The proposed solution appears to work great only in the following scenario:
Include emails from X and exclude the trash mailbox, and the conditions are set to ALL.   (Contain messages that match ALL of the following conditions.)
Does anyone have a solution for when you want your smart mailbox to include emails from more than 1 email address and still exclude trash?   If you select ANY, it will pull up all emails not in trash from any recipeint, not just the 2 you are seeking to include.
Or, is there a 3rd party app out there that allows for multiple conditions like rules allow in Mail?  (i.e. include any messages from any of these 5 email addresses as long as they aren't in the gmail spam folder).

  • Move Message with Attachment from one Mailbox to another problem

    Hi,
starting with Exchange 2013 we have following odd thing.
(That happens with Outlook 2010 aswell as Outlook 2013).
My mailbox has several other mailboxes mounted aswell. (using Full Access at ECP Settings), aswell as one separate Exchange Mailbox with own User/Password.
Now, when I have an Email with an attachment (like Word, .jpg, whatever), I used to move it to another mailbox by using "drag & drop".
The mail was moved to the mailbox without noticable changes.
Starting with Exchange 2013, the Mail is changed into Rich Text. That means, the attachment now appears somewhere within the message, instead as real attachment. Some attachments are also lost, and as the message was moved, the only way to recover it is
    using our external Email Archive.
Is this a bug, or didn't I see any option that results in this odd behaviour?
Moving to a different folder does work as expected, but not to another mailbox.
    Thanks
    Patrick

Based on some research we have decided to create a workaround as all mails got converted from HTML to Rich Text when moving from User Mailbox to a PST(Archive).
We have built an add-in for end-users to archive based on the following Outlook-VBA
    Option Explicit
    Sub MoveToFolder()
    Dim objApp As Outlook.Application
    Dim strPath As String
    Dim objNS As NameSpace
    Dim objFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder
    Dim olCurrExplorer As Outlook.Explorer
    Dim olCurrSelection As Outlook.Selection
    Dim olCurrMailItem As MailItem
    Dim m As Integer
    'pick destination folder
    Set objApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
    Set objNS = objApp.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set objFolder = objNS.PickFolder
    'get selected mails
    Set objNS = objApp.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set olCurrExplorer = objApp.ActiveExplorer
    Set olCurrSelection = olCurrExplorer.Selection
    For m = 1 To olCurrSelection.Count
    Set olCurrMailItem = olCurrSelection.item(m)
    On Error Resume Next
    olCurrMailItem.Move objFolder
    If Err.Number <> 0 Then
    With olCurrMailItem
    ' due this week flag
    .MarkAsTask olMarkThisWeek
' sets a specific due date
    .TaskDueDate = Now + 3
    .FlagRequest = "Call "
    .Save
    .FlagStatus = olFlagComplete
    End With
    olCurrMailItem.Move objFolder
    End If
    Next m
    End Sub
for us it was important to have the mails still in HTML Formats as some customers are sending embedded images in the mail-body which are removed when the mail where converted to Rich Text.
For people who doesn't care in which format an mail gets archived another workaround is to Flag the Message with an follow up action, then unflag (complete the follow up) and users are able to move the messages but still they would be converted from HTML
    to Rich Text.
Strange enough that with a simple VBA move event the message will stay in HTML Format we are happy to found a solution and maybe someone else can use it.

  • Can't get message from mailbox in shell script

I'm using the shell-script workaround for the problem of creating messages from scripts run by a Mail rule. Can't seem to get the syntax right for getting a message passed from the main routine:
    Main
    <pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:800px">using terms from application "Mail"
on perform mail action with messages theMessages
    repeat with eachMessage in theMessages
set theID to id of eachMessage
set theBox to name of mailbox of eachMessage
    set theAccount to "none"
    try
set theAccount to name of account of mailbox of eachMessage
    end try
    do shell script "osascript Users/dave/Library/Scripts/Applications/Mail/exp.scpt " & theID & " " & theBox & " " & theAccount
    end repeat
end perform mail action with messages
    end using terms from
    using terms from application "Mail"
    on run
tell application "Mail" to set sel to selection
tell me to perform mail action with messages (sel)
    end run
    end using terms from</pre>
    Shell
    <pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:800px">on run TheArgs
    using terms from application "Mail"
set theID to item 1 of TheArgs
set theBox to item 2 of TheArgs
set theAccount to item 3 of TheArgs
    if theAccount = "none" then
set theMessage to (message of mailbox theBox) whose id is (theID as integer)
    else
set theMessage to (message of mailbox theBox of account theAccount) whose id is (theID as integer)
    end if</pre>
The conditional is so I can test by selecting messages from either my Inbox or other boxes. Either way, though I get runtime errors like: "Can’t get «class mssg» of «class mbxp» \"INBOX\" of «class mact» \"David\" whose id of it = \"19111\". (-1728)"
I've tried variations, but nothing seems to work.
BTW, how does one view events or results in a shell script? Neither its window nor the main routine's show anything, and even "log" statements in the shell seem to go nowhere.

I think I understand what's going wrong. If I select a message in my Inbox, the shell statement
<pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:800px">set theMessage to (message 1 of mailbox theBox of account theAccount) whose id is (theID as integer)</pre>
works. If I select a message from an On My Mac box, though, I can't get theAccount in Main in the first place because there's no account associated with those boxes. That's why I set up the "try" in Main and the conditional in the shell. I see now that
    <pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:800px">set theBox to name of mailbox of eachMessage</pre>
in Main yields only the name of the box -- any containers it may have are omitted. Therefore,
<pre style="font-family: 'Monaco', 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; overflow:auto; color: #222; background: #DDD; padding: 0.2em; font-size: 10px; width:800px">set theMessage to (message 1 of mailbox theBox) whose id is (theID as integer)</pre>
fails if there are any containers. So, I need a "set theBox" statement in Main that produces a proper path to the message, regardless of where it's located. If I can formulate that, a single "set theMessage" in the shell will suffice, without having worry about whether there's an account. I've experimented with "path to" and will continue casting about, but if the solution is apparent to you, please let me know.
BTW: Echo was a worthwhile "little diversion" for me, because it's led me to a better understanding of what "do shell script" does (i.e., it executes a UNIX command as if it was typed into Terminal) and why it solves the message-creation problem (i.e., it runs the named script as a process that's separate from Mail). I suppose that was obvious to you and many others, but it wasn't to me, despite reading what the AS Language Guide says about it, plus a few Google hits for "osascript." So thank you for that.
One thing I don't understand, though: If I change the command to "echo $1 $2 $3", nothing appears in Terminal. (I can produce files the way you showed just fine.)
