Message from webi

Hi
i created a report in webi and then imported it to rich client and created a webservice based on it
when i change the report in webi and save i get the message "this documents contains content published as a web service
. do you want to save it"
does it have any effect on the web service running in xcelsius ?

Hi,
When content from a document has been published as web service (BI Service), BI service store a reference to the document / report and published block (table or chart) so when called, data from the actual document is fetched. There is therefore a strong lifecycle relationship between document and BI Services published from it, so that any change performed on the block is reflected into the BI Service (especially, if block is deleted, corresponding web service is broken).
Reason why you have this warning message, as some changes performed on document may impact consumers.
Recommendation is then to copy documents into a specific folder when content is published as web services from an  existing document, so consumers do not have the risk of being broken if the document is subsequently modified.
Hope that helps,
David.

  • Error message from web - when opening pdf files

    Hi,
I receive the following error message a lot when I try to open an educational pdf file from the web.  What do I need to do to 1. see, 2. print and 3. save these type of educational pdf files from the web?  I am using a MacBookPro OS X.
Thanks for your help and sorry I could not find an answer on the forum.
Example:  I try to import or download MIT18_06SCF11_Ses3.5sum 2.pdf onto my desktop - which seems successful.  However when I try to open this file, I get the following error message.:
"Adobe Reader could not open 'MIT18_06SCF11_Ses3.5sum 2.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

Yes i tried following your list of commands and got the same error from MyMathLab by Pearson Publishing or the other link.  I'm beginning to wonder if they are protected.
As you probably guess - I am not computer savvy.  I will take my laptop to school tomorrow and ask another student.
    Thanks for your followup.

  • No response message from web cache

    Hi,
We are facing a strange and serious problem with our Oracle infrastructure. We have running a web application that uploads files to the database server. But we have found out that if we try to upload a ZIP file (in the application, uploading a ZIP file means that it uncompresses the ZIP file and copy the zipped files one by one to the database server, therefore this operation can take a while), it comes an error message of the type:
No Response from Application Web Server
We didn't find any especial configuration for a timeout in the application server and http server. We also checked the timeout for the web cache that we also use, and seems to be alright (very much longer that the time to crash). When using the application without going through the Web Cache (calling directly the application server), it works well!!! On the other hand, we thought in a relation between the size of the files and the effort of the application to process them and the "No response", but we have successfully uploaded other documents bigger than the ZIP file. When checking the LOG files of the Web Cache and the Apache and application server, we find the following:

Could it be that the Web Cache sent a request to the application server and because of an unknown reason, it received a response that made it to show the "No response" message. Or could it be that the Web Cache is sending request and not receiving any response from the application server, or that there is some timeout configuration that we didn't find??? Please, help!!!!
    Thanks in advance,
    Luis

We found the core issues was with the number of database connections that were created during load testing. Refactoring the code to reuse the database connections fixed this issue.

  • Fault handler triggered for "100 Continue" messages from web service

I'm using the Flex/Flash "WebService" class to connect to a .NET4 web service.
Things always work fine unless the service sends a "100 Continue" message,
(which it does seemingly at random, which is allowed by HTTP1.1).
The problem is that Flex/Flash does not appear to handle this message.
It triggers the fault handler with the following message:
    "SOAP Response cannot be decoded".
The message body pulled from the Flash Builder's "Network Monitor" window (raw view) is:
    HTTP/1.1 100 Continue
    Server: ASP.NET Development Server/10.0.0.0
    Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2012 14:42:25 GMT
    Content-Length: 0
If I understand correctly, any client using HTTP 1.1 should be able to handle "100 Continue" messages even if they didn't ask for them.
Does anyone know what's going on here?
Here are the software versions of everything involved:
    Flash plugin: 11.3.300.257 (ActiveX)
    Flash Builder: 4.6
    Flex Compiler SDK: 4.6.0
    OS: WinXP Pro, 32-bit, SP3
    Browser: IE 8.0.6001
    Web Service: .NET framework 4
    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!!

Update: The problem also occurs with Firefox 12 using the debug version of FlashPlayer 11.3.300.257, so I don't think it's a browser issue... Looks like Flash itself.

I know the code for the jms-sending is OK (I've
tested in another application, copy of code), but i
dont know why it isn't working in this particual
Visual Web Project. It does seem like the injection
isn't taking place here; and i have no clue to
why.....where does your web.xml schema location points to ?
Injection works only with JEE 5, which means that you have to point to the right version of the servlet spec, i.e version="2.5" and web-app_2_5.xsd.

  • Support message from satellite to SolMan throughout web service

    Hi all,
Currently we have activated support messages between satellite systems and SM. This functionallity is working fine; users create messages with "help->create customer message". But now we want users to create messages trhoughout web service (bsp). We know that this funcionallity exists, but we don't know neither the way it can be activated nor the way we can access to this service.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.
    Bst Regds,
    Jose Sorli

    Hi Jose,
For the creation of messages via WEB you can use BSP dswp_create_msg:
    In SICF activate this service
    After call the following url:
    http://server:XXXX/sap/bc/bsp/sap/dswp_create_msg?sap-client=YYY
server: full hostname server of solman system
XXXX: HTTP service that you can see in SMICM->Goto->Services
    YYY: Service desk client
Look in SAP SMP for notes with string dswp_create_msg.
From note  699087 ( a little old but ok):
For the application to function, perform the following in the Solution
    Manager system:
o  Ensure that an HTTP or HTTPS service is running in the Internet
           Communications Manager (transaction SMICM).
o  Ensure that the services necessary for running BSP applications
are activated (transaction SICF). These services include:
           -  /default_host/sap/public/bc/ur
           -  /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb
           -  /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc
           -  /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/dswp_create_msg
The URL necessary to call dswp_create_msg takes the following form:
        o  http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/dswp_create_msg?sap-client=
           <client>
Where <host>, <port> and <client> are the host name, port and client
respectively of the SAP Web Application Server. For futher information
on the Internet Communications Manager, please see the SAP Web
    Application Server online documentation.
    Best regards,

Is there a way to display the output error message from Exit Function on web interface?
    Regards,
    Kadir

    Hi All,
I have a similar problem - but for variable exits.
The solution posted by Kadir works fine for an exit changing xthdata (bps exit function).
I want to display a message in Web created within an bps variable exit. In this case the  solution does not work.
Does anyone of you experts have an idea how to append a message to the message table used for the WebInterface?
Thanks in advance and best regards
    Steffen

  • I get an "Error Encountered" message from Semantec when I use Firefox to visit any web-site. What is wrong with Firefox?

Even now while visiting support.mozilla.com, I get an "Error Encountered" message from Symantec. I don't get this message from Safari.
Symantec suggests that I support the site to Symantec, but it is every web site I visit using Firefox.
What's wrong with Firefox? on the Mac?

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).<br />
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the <i>about:crashes</i> page.<br />
You can open the <b>about:crashes</b> page via the location bar, like you open a website.

    Hello
I received an unsolicited message from a phone number. I deleted it.
A second copy arrived and I deleted that too.
The message says send STOP as a reply and it will be stopped but the web says this is a way to give the sender access to your account and they will charge you £3 every time.
Did i do right to delete it?
How can I block a number?  The system on my iPhone iiOS 8 and Mac Yosemite will not allow it.
How can I change my status (as I do on Skype) to stop these messages safely?
    Anythoughts?

    Why not using ASP?
If on your webpage you have some buttons that runs at server, the server can create a web Client and using your IP address retrieved from the cession, communicate with your application (that will act as web Server).
then the web client on the web server can send request to your VB application and read a stream as response.
This web client being control by the buttons on the web page, gives you complete control over what and when the data is sent
This way you will have a complete control over the VB application from the web page.
I am not saying that the way you want to do it cannot work, ... but it seems more complicated

  • Passing messages from BW customer-exit variables to WebI

    Hi
Is it possible to pass messages from a BW customer-exit variable to WebI?
We have a scenario where we have some validation done on a customer-exit variable, and under certain conditions a message should be returned to the user running the WebI report. Ideally, then report should stop executing at this time.
The ABAP is in place, and I can return an error message. If the query is run in RSRT / Web Template, the error message is correctly displayed and processing stops.
However, in WebI, if the error condition is met, a rather messy looking generic error message is displayed. In this case, the error number I've used in the ABAP is 000, which WebI then interprets as somthing to do with query dimensions could not be retrieved, or a null pointer exception.
I am not interested in the WebI error message that is being generated ... I know why it is being generated.
All I'd like to know is whether it is possible to pass an error message from within the customer exit code back to WebI.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Andrew

    Hi,
I think that the problem is the User Exit is called anew for every query, so the global tables you declared will be empty for the query2.
One way to do this is create a table using the SE11 and populate it with the Variable from Query1, and use this data to populate the Variable2 of Query2.
    Hope it helps.
