Message in translations

hi, when i try translations in SE63, give source and target, i get a status message 'INVALID CODE PAGE FOR LANGUAGE &'
what is this ?

If you got the solution to your problem related to translation messages which was giving an error saying 'Invalid Codepage', please let me know how did you resolve it.
Thanks & Regards,

  • Authorization scheme violation message not translatable?

    Hello team,
    could you please confirm that the authorization scheme violation message is not included in the translatable text for some reason?
    I can't find it in the list of texts to be translated even after seeding the application.

    Hello gents,
    it's curious because after doing some tests i was almost convinced it was a sort of "feature".
    From the behavior of the application i see that the authorization code is not duplicated in a translated application as it happens for most other components, as a result if i modify the authorization violation message, the change becomes effective immediately across all translations.
    In view of this fact i developed the fancy theory that this was a security measure to prevent that a non-updated translated application could serve as a "trojan horse" to access a restricted page in virtue of the lack of control...
    Anyway, i'm glad to hear that my theory is a nonsense :-D

  • Internal Messages - global translation

    Hello,
    I would like to ask if there is any way to global translate all Internal Messages for ALL applications (whole APEX)?
    Now I use "Shared Components -> Text Messages" and I put there a lot of messages but I have to do it for ALL applications and workspaces separately :(
    I do it in that way:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10513_01/doc/appdev.310/e10499/global.htm#CHDJFHBD
    Is there any other way for global translation Internal Messages?
    Is there any mapping file, table etc. which I can use for global translation?
    regards,
    Jarek

    Hello Jarek,
    >> But when I run it from SQL Plus I see following error: …
    This API must run in the APEX context. You should use a privilege user, or the APEX owner (in this case you don’t need to change the curret_schema parameter). Try the following script as an example:
    declare
      l_ddl  varchar2(100);
    begin
       l_ddl := 'alter session set current_schema="APEX_030200"';
       EXECUTE IMMEDIATE (l_ddl);
       wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id(apex_util.find_security_group_id('MyWorkspaceName'));
       wwv_flow_api.create_message (
        p_flow_id => '192',
        p_name => 'APEXIR_AGGREGATE',
        p_message_language => 'pl',
        p_message_text => 'Agregacja'
    end;If you are using an earlier version to 3.2, you should set the appropriate schema name to your version. Also, the ‘MyWorkspaceName’ should be replaced with your actual workspace name.
    Bear in mind that the relevant APEX meta data tables include a unique restraint, so you can’t run the script repeatedly, without deleting set messages.
    This is an unsupported action, so please take all the necessary precaution to avoid any problems, like BACKUP, BACKUP and BACKUP.
    >> In general it looks like security bug because I can run this procedure for other applications which do not exist in my workspace.
    This API was meant to be used by the APEX development team only, so maybe its code is not checking all malicious options out there. I’ll draw the attention of Joel, from the development team, to your claim. If it need fixing, I’m sure he will take care of it.

    Arie.

  • Error message severity not translated correct when locale is changed

    We have a shell page displaying different task flows within a dynamic region. The shell page f:view tag has locale="#{LocaleManager.currentLocale}" to allow programmatic change of locale. Most of the flows uses the locale from the browser request (e.g. Danish) but some pages has fixed locale (en_US) and will always be rendered with this locale (don't ask me why. It's a requirement). For those fixed locale pages, the expression #{LocaleManager.currentLocale} always returns "en_US". It works nice, but we have a strange problem with the translation of error messages displayed by validators/converters. E.g. if a character is entered in a number field, the user will see the usual popup error message like "*Error:* The value is not a number". The message part of the error message is translated but the severity message prefix ("Error:" in the example), seems to be translated and cached once per session. If the error message popup has been displayed once in a different locale, then after change of locale, the severity message prefix continues to use the translation from the first display. The message part of the message is translated perfectly.
    Let me give an example:
    1) User enters da_DK page and enters a invalid number. Error message displayed: "*Fejl:* Værdien er ikke et tal"
    2) User enters en_US page and enters a invalid number. Error message displayed: "*Fejl:* The value is not a number"
    If the examples is reversed, then the error messages will be:
    2) "*Error:* The value is not a number"
    1) "*Error:* Værdien er ikke et tal"
    Do anyone know how to clear this translated severity message prefix, when locale is changed? Or is there a better way to overcome this issue?
    We're using JDeveloper and ADF 11.1.2.2 and are able to reproduce the issue on the embedded weblogic.

    Hi again
    ok I added another locale that ships with flash builder, and encoutered the same problem
    whenever I change the locale, the error tooltips are gone
    I was even able to fix both new locales by assigning the the validators custom error messages using resourceManager.getString() like i assign a value to all other UI strings in the application
    the default locale which is specified in the project compiler's parameters is en_US
    and my final question to you is:
    is there a best practice regarding localizing & managing the error massages Flex SDK uses?
    what is the internal path to the resource bundles that flex uses to display errors?
    it seems like it makes more sense to copy and edit an existing list of errors, rather then blow up the application code...
    can you please share your view on the matter
    thank you for your help

    Hi, Check in T-code M/08 for your import prizing procedure,what have you maintained for subtotal for gross price condition (PBXX,PB00), Maintain over there as '9', also for JPY currency there is issue with decimal also, ratio maintained in 100:1 ratio.

  • Translating Messages Used Internally by Application Express

    I would like to know how it is possible to have all internal messages of apex translated to a language which is not currently supported, to Greek for example. In the documentation there is a list of Internal Messages Requiring Translation, but there are many more, stored in the WWV_FLOW_MESSAGES$ table.I have been experimenting by adding text messages using the NAME column of the above table and selecting Greek as Language. Some of them (such as INVALID_CREDENTIALS) work while others (such as SUCCESS_MSG.ROWS_INSERTED) do not. The application primary language is set to Greek and the "Application Language Derived From" setting is set "Use Application Primary Language".
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Christos

    Hello,
    I can confirm the situation the OP describes. It seems like some strings in the WWV_FLOW_MESSAGES$ are available to the translation mechanism, on the application level, and some are not. Any insight on the issue will be most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Arie.

  • Translating Internal Messages

    Hi APEX folks,
    I am having some issues to translate internal messages. Basically, I want to translate APEX internal messages to French. As I understand in page http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10513_01/doc/appdev.310/e10499/global.htm#insertedID1 APEX should be already translated in French.
    In that case, I would expect that this SQL statement would return "1 error has occurred" and "Actions Menu".
    SELECT APEX_LANG.MESSAGE('FLOW.SINGLE_VALIDATION_ERROR'), APEX_LANG.MESSAGE('APEXIR_ACTIONS_MENU') FROM DUAL
    However, it returns "FLOW.SINGLE_VALIDATION_ERROR" and "APEXIR_ACTIONS_MENU".
    Any idea why I do not have translated messages? How to check that internal messages are translated? Should I be able to see translated messages in view APEX_APPLICATION_TRANSLATIONS?
    For your information, I already started my application translation and it is working fine. Only those internal messages are not available...
    Thanks for your help

    Edited by: Karl Guillotte on 2 juin 2010 08:23

    Hello Karl,
    >> APEX should be already translated in French
    This is only partially true, and you need to look into the big picture.
    The APEX Application Builder is translated into French. However, in order to use it in French you need to upload the French language. Only then, all the internal messages will also be available in French.
    If, as I understand it, you are working with the English version of the Application Builder (which is the default installation version), and you want to continue doing so, without loading the French version, you will need to manually translate the internal messages into French.
    For some reason I don’t have access to the download.oracle.com/doc/ server, so I can’t give you an exact references, but you can find a detailed explanation on how to upload more languages into the APEX IDE in the installation guide. It seems that you are already familiar with the Globalization chapter in the User’s Guide.

    Arie.

  • Message in another language in SBWP

    Dear experts,
    In one of our workflows, when it is triggered, it sends two messages to the inbox (SBWP) of the approver. One of them is a message of decision to approve or reject the workflow. The 2nd message is informative, just saying that a task with an ID number (number of the workflow) has started. Curiously, this message is in croatian, but I´m logged in in Spanish (ES).
    I wonder how can I erase this message, or translate it to Spanish, because the programs in SBWP are all standard SAP, no Z programs exist, so in theory everything should be in the log in language. So does anyone know what might be the cause of the problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You need to maintain the language translation while developing the workflow.
    For this purpose..
    Run Tcode SWDD...
    Enter your workflow template number.
    Now select Extras form menu bar.
    Here you can find the option 'Translation' ,
    Now select Translation >>> Translation
    You will get an popup "Source language " to "Target language"
    now maintain translated sentences'.
    Save and activate.
    For example if you logon in Spanish Language ( if maintained ) and check the workflow definition. You can observe that for the two step types, the text is available in German.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Is it possible to change the message of the automated validations?

    Hi,
    In APEX 4.0, depending of the type of item you create and the settings you put, certain validations are automatically made like a check on the date when using a Date Picker.
    My question is, is it possible to change this message? Because what happens is, if I have a certain format in the way I formulate the message then those validations will be formulated in a different way.

    Hi,
    Yes, it's possible to translate/replace those messages.
    You can find all the Internal Messages Requiring Translation in the offical documentation.
    Here's a link: http://apex.oracle.com/i/doc/global_mess_reports.htm#CHDEDHBJ
    To translate messages:
    -1. Navigate to the Translate Application page:
    1.On the Workspace home page, click the Application Builder icon.
    2.Select an application.
    3.Click Shared Components.
    4.Under Globalization, click Text Messages.
    -2.On the Translate Messages page, click Create.
    -3.On Identify Text Message, specify the following:
    1.Name - Enter the name of each message that needs to be translated. See Table: Internal Messages Requiring Translation.
    2. Language - Select the language for which the message would be used.
    3.Text - Enter the text to be returned when the text message is called. If the English text message contains positional substitution values (for example, %0, %1), ensure that your defined message also contains the same named and number of positional substitution values.
    -4.Click Create.

  • Custom Error Messages

    I've read numerous posts and blog entries regarding customizing oracle error messages to provide a more user friendly output. However, I have a slightly different scenario here that I'm hoping for some help on.
    I'm building a new application that sits on an existing database. Within the database there are thousands of tables and triggers containing validation that raise application errors for messages we've created, for example raise_aplication_error(-20101,'SSL-01010'). In a separate table we have a list of our error codes and messages. In forms we have a function that picks up our code from the error message and translates to our message which is then displayed to the user. I need to do something similar in APEX.
    I've created a very simple test table, trigger and page that generates an error when you try to update or delete it. And I've created a customer error page (page 200) to display the user friendly message. I'd like to populate an item on this page with our error code if it's there.
    In the Error Page Template section of the template I added the following code which searches for SSL or QMS in the message:
    <input type="hidden" value="#MESSAGE#" id="P0_ERRMSG"></input>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    str=document.getElementById("P0_ERRMSG").value
    search_term = "SSL";
    str_check = str.indexOf( search_term );
    if (str_check==-1) {
    search_term = "QMS";
    str_check = str.indexOf( search_term );
    if (str_check!=-1) {
    str_val = str.substring(str_check,str_check + 9)
    url_location = "f?p=&APP_ID.:200:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P200_ERROR_MESSAGE:"+str_val
    window.location = url_location;
    url_location = "f?p=&APP_ID.:200:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P200_ERROR_MESSAGE:"+str
    window.location = url_location;
    </script>
    The error displayed on the screen, without this template change, is:
    "ORA-20001: Error in multi row delete operation: row= 1, ORA-20101: SSL-01010 ORA-06512: at "SWIFT_OWNER.APEX_CONS_TEST_BTRG", line 3 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'SWIFT_OWNER.APEX_CONS_TEST_BTRG', delete from "SWIFT_OWNER"."APEX_CONS_TEST" where "ID" = :p_pk_col"
    As you can see our error code is contained in this output.
    However, #MESSAGE# is just "multi row operation failed" which means our error code is never picked up. I can't see how to access the full error message in the template.
    If there is an easier way of doing this I'm open to suggestions.
    Thanks
    Sara

    I think I've resolved this myself (with reference to a few different forum posts!) by changing the javascript in the Error Page Template to:
    <script language="javascript">
    function getElementsByClass(searchClass,node,tag) {
    var classElements = new Array();
    if ( node == null ) node = document;
    if ( tag == null ) tag = '*';
    return node.getElementsByTagName(tag);
    function show_error_text() {
    errorElements = getElementsByClass("ErrorPageMessage",document,"div");
    if (errorElements.length > 0 ) {
    errorText = errorElements[0].innerHTML;
    search_term = "SSL";
    str_check = errorText.indexOf(search_term);
    if (str_check==-1) {
    search_term = "QMS";
    str_check = errorText.indexOf( search_term );
    if (str_check > 0) {
    errorText = errorText.substr(str_check);
    errorText = errorText.substr(0,errorText.indexOf("ORA")-1);
    errorText = errorText.replace(/#/g,"~");
    url_location = "f?p=&APP_ID.:200:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P200_ERROR_MESSAGE:"+errorText;
    window.location = url_location;
    show_error_text();
    </script>
    We know our error codes will always start with SSL or QMS. So this will pass the bit of the Oracle error we're interested in to P200_ERROR_MESSAGE or the full Oracle error if it hasn't been raised by some of our code.

  • How to stop message processing based on validation?

    Hello experts,
    I have a requirement to stop message processing in the graphical mapping based on validation results. Here is the scenario - messages are translated using graphical mapping and sent to the target system. An RFC lookup will be done to ECC to determine if the data in the message is good. If the lookup returns a negative result, message processing should be stopped right there.
    I guess we can throw an exception from the mapping to force a failure and stop further processing, but that will cause the message to show up as failed on SXMB_MONI and cause alert emails to be sent out in PROD. Another option will be to supress creation of the root node itself, but I think the message will then fail in the subsequent "call adapter" step if the target schema has a min occurence of 1 for the root node (as in the case of IDocs).
    Is it possible to do it without using BPM?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,
       If your requirement, to stop message processing without sending an alert?
    If yes, then you can have a alert rule, not to trigger alerts on a failure (And to raise an exception based on the result from RFC loookup).
    If your requirement is not to make the message fail, then you have to go for the ccBPM route.
