Message incoming indicator

After last software update I do not see anymore the message indicator on the main page.
Before update I could see indicator of an incoming SMS or private mail or business mail on the main screen , now I can see only one to one .
If I select private mode I can see only incoming SMS and private mail notice
If I select business(Balance) mode I can see only incoming business mail notice
before update in any mode I was I got 3 different notice according to which type of message

Just to clarify, in the BlackBerry Hub it is not showing a notification for an SMS or email message depending on if you're in Personal or Business workspace?
What version of BlackBerry 10 are you currently running? Go to Settings>About to get this information.

Try turning of the Multi-threaded server option (i.e. comment out "mts" references in the init[SID].ora file). This appears to be an MTS-related bug.

N86 Message Display Indicator is always on

The Message Display Indicator (the little envelope at the top of the Standby and Menu screens) is always blinking. It has been ever since I got the phone. All the messages in my Inbox have been read. Does anyone know how to turn it off?

SIM messages. This has already been discussed in the fora many times. Go to Messaging -> SIM msgs. Clear everything you see there. You can copy the messages to your inbox if you want to, or else skip this step.

SPA2102 Message Waiting Indicator always on

When I activate message waiting indicator (Voice - User 1 - Supplementary Service Settings - Message Waiting: Yes)
my telephone indicator light flashes continually whehter there is a message or not.
Am I missing something? Is there another setting point? This has been a problem from the start.
there was another posting exactly like this back in 2009 but it was never answered/resolved.

I have exactly the same problem. But when I desactivate message waiting indicator (Voice - User 1 - Supplementary Service Settings - Message Waiting: NO), I have no message waiting indicator (no light on an no tone) when I have a new voice mail message.
The Line 1 has MWI Serv - yes and vmwi Serv has yes too.
When I activate message waiting indicator (Voice - User 1 - Supplementary Service Settings - Message Waiting: YES), the lignt and tone are Always on whehter there is a message or not.
SPA2102, Software Version 5.2.13 (004) Hardware Version 1.3.5(a).

SPA303 Message Waiting Indicator for specific line only

I have an SPA303 configured with 2 lines (extensions).
I want the message waiting indicator to only show for line 2, not line 1.
I've tried going to Advanced, Voice, Ext1 and setting "Message Waiting" to No
and for Ext2 setting it to Yes.
Hit "Submit All Changes"
After phone reboots, Ext1 still says Yes, and Ext2 still says No. I cant seem to change these.
Is this the correct way to accomplish my request?

I have no SPA303 here, but it is almost identical hardware and exactly the same firmware (I assume you have the latest) as other SPA[35]0x models. I have no problem to set Message Waiting independently. I can't repeat the behavior you described.
So either your setting is overwritten by remote provisioning, or it's a complex issue related to overall configuration of phone.
Can you change setting for one extension only ? Have you provisioning configured ? Can you turn on syslog&debug and capture output ?
It may or may not help to analyze the issue.

I know it can be frustrating seeing that inbox get full and having to delete
stored messages. I do see in the Samsung manual where it advises that it
will store a maximum of 300 messages on the phone. The number may lower
if there are pictures messages and other things being stored on the device.
Have you checked your total Memory available in Settings and Tools? How much is
currently available? Please let us know these details and we may be able
to help further!

Message waiting indicator isn't going away

Hello everyone,
I am having a problem. My email indicator light won't go off. I have deleted all email messages from both folders and in fact deleted all messages from all folders and yet I still apparently have an email message that is unread.
I have gone so far as to delete the email accounts and reset them and still the indicator is there. Thankfully there is no flashing light, but it is still annoying to see the email indicator.
I am now utterly confused as to what to do now. Can someone help me?

Some thoughts.
Have you hidden a message?
Rather than use the BB, have you gone to your email itself - eg Gmail - and had a look for any unread messages.
Have you set "on Conflicts" to "Mailbox Wins"

Message status indicator

I have the Blackberry Curve, the carrier is AT&T. Usu when I send a message be it email or text, it is indicated by a red check mark if it was successfully sent. One recent message had a "D" to the left of the checkmark. Does anyone know what this means? Delivered? Delayed? I cant find any answers in the manual.

'D' means delivered?. BlackBerry can also show 'R' which means read.

Unread message flashing indicator timeout?

Hi,
I was looking for an answer to this question through various searches on the internet, and was hoping that maybe someone here could help. When I receive a new message, I my phone (on the normal setting) displays a flashing red led to let me know that I have a new, unread message. However, after about 5 minutes or so, the led stops blinking. Is this normal? Is there some way to set the led to keep blinking until the message has been read?
I'm also having another issue where certain messages (such as password reminders from this site) are being received but seem to be automatically set to 'read' and shown as open as soon as I receive them. Therefore, I don't get a new message indicator or a red blinking led. That might be the topic of another post...

The LED fuction is normal. I notice that mine stops blinking anywhere from 5-15 mins. You can try using a program called BBAlerts

Red Blinking Message Light Indicator Back to Green

On the BlackBerry Curve 8330, can anyone tell me please if it is normal once you receive any type of message, and the light on top blinks red, after about 15 minutes it goes back to blinking green even though I never checked my messages? You would think, especially with a BlackBerry that the light would continue to blink red until messages are checked?! Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Any programs out there third party or what not?...any free? Or is my phone defected? Thank you for your time and your input.

Yes the coverage indicator is on, I want it to blink green. Again, I want to know why the red blinking light message indicator goes back to blinking green after 15 minutes and does not continue to blink red until I actually go into the particular message folder? Thanks anyways for your help.

Yahoo im boxes not poping up when receiving or sending messages. Message received indicator flashes in the yahoo tab but no IM box appears. Same feature works with IE. Tried relaxing popup blocker feature with no luck.

When logged into Yahoo, the built in IM box feature never pops up. My contacts lists is shown, my IM received indicator flashes in the Yahoo tab when I receive an IM, but no IM box appears. IM box also doesnt appear if I try to initiate a chat by clicking on a contact name. I tried putting Yahoo in popup exceptions list with no luck. Seems the feature stopped working after the last update. The same feature works fine when using IE so I assume it isnt an antivirus or firewall issue. Use windows 7 & avast antivirus.

Number of messages incoming

When I click 'get mail' the number of downloading messages in the progress box has no relationship to the actual number of messages that I receive. Why?

I'm not sure I completely understand your question. Are you talking about the number of unread mail showing on the dock icon? If so, that will only show up if Mail is running.

Nokia Messaging visual indicator

It was said before that on v30 on Nokia 5800 there is a visual indicator of @ when
there is a new mail.
I seem to only have alert sound and thats it. any special settings I need to do ?

There is nothing wrong. It's a difference in how the two programs measure. Battery indicator doesn't as much tell you how much you actually have left, as it analyzes how you use your phone and estimates how much you should have left given how you usually use the program. The battery widget at the top is supposed to be an actual measure of how much is left. The two programs are usually far apart between 80-40%, then get closer to being on the same page.

I have programmed a visual basic application using activex controls. WHen I run this application through internet, it appears a message box indicating that the measurement studio is a demo, but I have the correct license. What can I do?

I run the application in a computer without measurement studio because my application is stored in a web server and I access to the application downloading it from a web page of that server.

Have you included the lpk file with your control? I've attached the tool you'll need and here is a nice link that goes thru it step by step.
