I just downloaded and instaled firefox 4. Now, everytime I institute a command I get a po[p-up from Java script that tells me to uninstal set. I cannot go on untin I press ok and then I am good for one more command and it starts with the pop-up again.

I'm not even sure if this is an extension or plug-in and all I can tell you is what I have already stated. I can only make one command at a time and after each one I get a pop-up from Java script that says uninstal set. I must depress ok to move on, but only for one more command and it starts over again. This also happened when I tried to instal firefox 4 a couple months ago and I deleted the program and went back to an earlier version.

I had this problem too, drove me crazy until my son figured out that it was just Firefox (we also use Internet Explorer)...I looked on the help site & immediately saw that others had the same problem.
First I did the "DISABLE Java Console 6.0.22" that did not work, so I disabled the Yahoo toolbar (as another user had mentioned). I don't know if it was just the last thing, or both...but the annoying pop up is gone! Yaaay! It only took a few minutes.

I keep getting an error warning pop-up message saying "uninstal set" which will clear when acknowledged but pops-up again with any change to the screen.

After downloading Firefox 4 (for Windows XP), I started getting a popup box on every page I go to that says "[JavaScript Application] uninstal set", and I don't know how to get rid of it.

I downloaded FireFox 4 today, and as soon as the download was finished, I launched the browser. As soon as I did, I got a message box that has "[JavaScript Application]" at the top and "uninstal set" as the message. This is the exact wording in the box, including the misspelling. I thought this might be an indication that my version of JavaScript was out of date, so I went to Java's website to update it. However, after downloading the latest version, the message box continued to appear. Has anyone else had this problem, and, if so, is there a way to fix it?

Other users have reported that this is caused by one of their add-ons. I suggest going to the Add-ons page and disabling everything that is not essential, and then restarting Firefox. Hopefully it's not caused by something you really rely on.

Does any one have any advice on how to fix this problem?
E-mails sent from my iphone 3G periodically arrive in an unreadable form at the recipient. The body of the e-mail has been replaced with the message "This message uses a character set that is not supported by the internet service...." The problem e-mails also include an attachment that contains an unformatted text file containing the original message surrounded by what appears to be lots of formatting data that is displayed as gibberish.
This occurs sometimes, but not always, even with the same recipients. I am sending e-mail through a G-mail account that is configured on the iphone using IMAP. I have tried the gmail account to use the two available formatting options for mail, but neither fixes the problem.
I have also upgraded to 2.01 and restored a few times without impact.

I got somewhat similar problem with special charecters(German umlaud �,�,�..).
I create a file with java having special charecters in it. Now if I open this file I am able to view the special charecters in it.But If I attach this file send it using following code then receiver can not see the umlaud charecters in it.They get replaced by _ or ?

I upgraded to the newer version of firefox, and ever since then every time i go to a new page, refresh the page, or open it the interned a box pops up and says "uninstal set" and won't let me continue until i click "ok" why is this happening, and how can i fix it?

go to Tools, add-ons, then only disable java 6.0.22 ONLY, then you have to click on restart. That solved my problem.

Using Document form varable results in failed unmarshalling message java.io.eofexception

I'm on LiveCycle ES 8.2. For PDF submit forms from workspace, I assigned the servername for submit as URL:
http://adobe1234:8080/workspace-server/submit.
We are using Document Form variable for this process. The reason is the forms will be digitally signed at each stage and we dont want to loose their signatures if forms go next stage.
This works perfect when I submit the form.
Now, we will be moving all the existing instances to new server and I want this URL to be server independent.
I take off this URL and kept it blank and try to submit from workspace. Nothing happens if I click submit and the form stays at the same place.
I see the following error in the log file:

I have to avoid using this URL in the form as I will be moving my system to new domain & DNS and for any existing process instances, if they try to submit the form, that will error out as the URL is pointing to another server.

I don't think I read your first post thoroughly. I see now you are setting the URL to prevent the form from appearing altered. I don't use digital signatures, but can see the potential problem. My first thought was to put JavaScript in the form to set the URL, but that would likely cause the same problem. I probably can't be of much help with no experience using the digital signatures. Our forms are considered 'Signed' if a logged in user clicks approve. Have you deleted the Form Bridge and readded? There may be differences with the one in ES2.
I think you are also saying you can't set the URL server side before rendering the form because processes will launch under one domain then get changed later.
If you were able to use JavaScript to determine which URL to submit to, you could put that code in the Form Bridge code and I would think that would submit. The form is not being altered by the code. This is assuming the code snippet I copied out of the form bridge is really what is called.
