Message keyboard does not appear

Hi all,
The keyboard on my Message app does not appear. I've tried messaging different contacts, but there's nothing. Any suggestions?

Perform a reset: Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release both buttons and await restart.

A word document was emailed to me. I can open the document without a problem. Is there a way for me to type on the document.... to fill out the form? When I click the fields, the virtual keyboard does not appear.

If you want to edit a word document then you will need an app on your iPad that supports word so that you can copy them to it via 'open in' e.g. Apple's Pages app or a third-party app such as Documents To Go or QuickOffice HD

I have just bought a Macbook Pro and sync data from my old version onto the new one...However when I tried opening the mail client...Message window does not appear.

The old Macbook Pro I was using used Snow Leopard. Now with the new it is a Lion. Toruble now when I click onto new message window I have the spinning icon which show it is trying to load. However it fails and Im left with having to Force Quit it. How can I resolve this problem

Quick answer if you use iTunes default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

My keyboard does not appear when i reply from lock screen in ios8?

When I attempt to reply to a text from the lock screen in iOS8, my keyboard does not appear. I have swiftkey installed in addition to the default keyboard. I am using an iphone 6. Any ideas? I am not sure where to begin.

The following Knowledge Base article provides some great steps that help when an application isn't functioning as expected or quits unexpectedly.
With the "Restart" step, make sure you go through and close all applications that are running. If after performing the "Restart" step, you find the issue persists, try the reset portion of the instructions:

Since upgrading to 5.1, my oncreen keyboard does not appear when it needs to

since i have done the upgrade, my on-screen keyboard does not appear when it needs to. I keep having to restart my system to make it happen.... Is there a special way to display the keyboard manually, or should it be automatic?

regarding your issue lets see what we can do to solve this issue.
- have you tried safe boot
safe boot = starting up the mac with the SHIFT- button.
- when entering safe mode you will be able to enter and quick change some settings
now next question do the unwanted aplications still load in safe mode , if so
go to the Apple icon -> System preferences -> user & groups -> login items (top right on the screen from user & groups window) now at login items u can close any unwanted aplications by deleting them or unmarking them
- unwanted aplications will now disapear when starting up your mac os x system
- next issue should be your authentication , this will be a bit more tricky , lets see
same category user & groups and u will see your admin account try seeing if u have enabled the admin account right click on your admin account to see information about it and compare it if your info is correct , next see if you have authorized your admin account to write & read.
if these still don't work , make a test account to see if this problem is user wide or system wide.

do you get the modal/popup to enter your password? if so, what happens if you touch in the password field on the popup? (as that sould bring up the keyboard).

Why can't i chat on whats app, while receiving message it does not appear.

It sounds like your app is quitting or minimizing unexpectedly when you try to use it. I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following article, named:
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
Start with these steps, and if needed continue with the "Reinstall the App" section and work your way down from there:
Follow the steps below and test the app after each step.
Restart the app
Close the app and open it again.
Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
Update your apps:
Open the App Store and tap Updates.
If updates are available, tap Update All.
If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.

N9 keyboard does not appear in messaging app

Lately (PR1.3) , when I enter a conversation in the messaging app, I touch the area where I am to type and nothing happens. Other apps are not affected. So far I've rebooted my phone. Is there a better trick? Or better yet, a fix?!

it happens quite a bit on the pr1.3
sometimes it just takes some time to appear. you can also just try to close the messaging application and open it a few seconds later to be sure it is shut down completely.
but it happens on both my devices on different variants on pr1.3

Keyboard does not appear

I can't get a keyboard. Tried Pages, Mail, Calendar. Tried to power off and on many times.
Can only find one other person who experienced this in the discussions. Any solutions?

Thanks, you're right. As soon as I posted the question, I thought about the blue tooth and checked, and there it was. I didn't turn it on, however. So now the mystery is why did it go on? But thanks for taking the time to tell me.

After i updated my iphone the keyboard doesn't show up when i'm going to add a new contact

Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. It should work after that.

Conversation does not appear on screen

One particular instant messaging conversation does not appear on screen. I am notified when a new message is sent to me, and when I hover over the Skype icon on the Windows toolbar I can see the icon for the conversation window, but the conversation itself does not appear. All other conversations appear just fine. It happens to be a running conversation with my boss, so I really would like to fix it. Currently when I get a message in this conversation I have to use Skype on my phone to participate in the conversation, but it is much faster to type on my computer keyboard than on my phone. Thanks for your help.

Computer clock time is correct. No, it hasn't been wrong, or at least I have never had to reset the time, it's always been correct. This is the only conversation this is happening with. It's still happening. I have to go to my phone to message in this particular conversation. My boss was on leave for awhile and so this conversation was inactive for a couple of months. It was working fine before she left. One more piece of info ... I used to have two monitors, now I'm using only one. But switching to one monitor didn't affect any of the other conversations I participate in.

Try closing the Notes app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Notes 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Notes app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Intelligent keyboard does not come up in numbers

In Numbers the intelligent keyboard is not coming up. Any ideas?
