Message light on, getting 3 beeps, no voicemail

The message light is on and when I lift the receiver I get the 3 beeps that indicate that there is a voicemail message. When I press *99, there is no voicemail. I have also verified on line that there are no voicemails. How do I get the message light to go off and the 3 beeps to go away so that I will know when I really get a voicemail.

Use a different phone and calll your number and leave yourself a VM.... using your phone, retrieve the VM and delete it... you should now have no indicator light or stutter tone...-=Ray=-

Message light reverts back to GREEN before checking messages!

Hi-
I've asked T-Mobile this question and they are clueless. If I get messages to my BB while I'm asleep at night, the message light reverts back to green...it does not stay red until I have retrieved the messages from the phone. I thought the idea of having it change colors was so one could visually look at the phone and know if they have a message or not. As it is now, I have to actually check the phone physically, to see whether or not I have any messages because the light eventually reverts back to green. I'm not sure how long it takes for this to happen as I'm asleep but I would venture to say maybe a few hours at the most before it changes back to green (I have my network light on always as I like the flashing green).
Any suggestions or is the phone suppose to operate like this? If so, it kinda defeats the purpose of having a message light.

I have had four different models and they have all done this, I don't believe it is something we can change. Or atleast I haven't found it yet.

I have reinstalled Mac OSX 10.6.3 and done the updates from there.
I have reinstalled ilife 11 from disk and done the updates.
I have deleted all the suggested files and then redone install and updates.
I have tried just reinstalling iphoto and doing updates.

If I understand correctly it sounds like your phone hasnt been recognized in iTunes on your PC since the last couple of updates. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article which will walk you through the steps one by one.

I am trying to see how many messages in Message Monitoring by selecting Integration Engine option, Message counts are getting displayed like how many has been processed successfully,processed with errors as well.
When I click on message count a pop up screen opens and gives me no messages are not available even for the same day messages.
Can any body give me an idea like where i can set any parameter to display in detail of messages in integration engine for one week back as well.

I guess in this case your retention period is set to zero in SXMB_ADM. And this is the reason you cannot see the message even if they are an hour old.

In XI run tcode SXMB_ADM and then follow "Integration Engine Configuration ---> Specific Configuration". Now check the Archive & Deletion Current & Default Values and set the Retention period as per you need.

I deleted some of my text message histories to get rid of 'other' space (6.33 gb). They were gone from iMessage, but they still showed up in search, so they were still taking up space on my phone. I synced my iPhone (4s) but the messages are still there.

How can I get rid of these texts for good and have more space on my phone? 6.33 gb of other space is way too much, thats almost half of my overall available space (13.5 gb.) I don't want to reset my phone and lose all my other texts/ app progress/ photos. I do have backups, but when I restore from the backup the other space comes back along with everything else. What can I do to get rid of this other space and the 'deleted' text messages? (I'm running iOS 6.1.3 if that helps)

But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
