Message Mapping Versions

Hi,
Is there a way to compare two versions of graphical mappings?
I'd like to know what changes were performed among versions.
Thanks,
Diego Estanguini Gabriel

Thanks Sarvesh,
I just knew it, but I was looking for easy way to compare, without clicking node by node.
Thanks Praveen,
Text Preview's mode is very helpfull.

  • Compare Versions of Message mapping?? possible??

    Hi guys,
    Just want to check, if Messag mapping versions can be compared, as we do in ABAP versions.
    I think, answer is almost NO.
    Just want to confirm before concluding.

    Hi,
    I've never heard of such functionality in PI. But actually there is one smart thing you can do simply display both your mappings as text and put them both into a single Excel spreadsheet and write a simple Excel expression that will compare mappings for particular fields. I think that also some text editors have a functionality to compare two text files, but I cannot recall any particular one right now.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg

  • XI Message Mapping - Old version gets picked up

    Hi All,
    I changed XI message mapping in my BPM. Sometimes changed mapping gets called and things work correctly. However, most of the times, older version of mapping gets called and program works the old way.
    I refreshed the cache in SXI_CACHE. But the problem is persisting.
    Does anyone has any idea why this is happening and how to correct this?
    Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Riyaz

    pls look at this doc page # 13 & 14.. u can understand abt the cache better..

  • Error while opening Message Mapping

    Hi All,
    I have one MM in ESR, IDoc to EDI, it has been developed before, and the interface is working successfully.But when I open this MM in ESR, it given a STOP error with desc as 'For input string: ""'.
    and then there is nothing displayed on Screen under Definition,Test and Functions tab of MM.The Signature tab content is visible properly.
    I am working on PI 7.1.
    Is this issue is because of version comapatibilty or missing object. Please provide your inputs to resolve this issue,
    Thanks,
    Ruchi

    Hi All,
    I have checked with my basis team, but they suggested that the patches can not be installed as this problem is happening with single message mapping.
    When I open this MM, it gives the same STOP error :For input string: "". and when I click on Message Mapping -> Check button, it prompts a message 'Parameter #ParamName# has the invalid value null'.
    Please help me to resolve this.As the mapping itself is not getting loaded, so not getting how to set this parameter value(if it is used in MM).

  • Error in message Mapping(file to file scenario)

    Hi friends,
    In file to file scenario i am getting error like this while activating standard change list in IR.
    Activation of the change list canceled Check result for Message Mapping MM_file2filejuly27 | URN:file2fileJuly27.com:
    Starting compilation
    Compilation complete
    Check result for Software Component Version praba.com | PRABA.COM | 2007 | 0:
    The standard error type ExchangeLogData is not defined for the namespace URN:file2fileJuly27.com
    Save the software component version definition again. The object is then saved automatically
    could you help me out how to correct this error?

    Prabha,
    You should  not delete any existing standard  Data types provided by SAP.  ExchangeLogData and  ExchangeDaultData are standard data types get created when you create new namespace.
    If you have already deleted then copy them from other Namespace to your namespace. Activate your default data type first and then your objects.
    Hope this will solve your problem.

  • Not Able to Activate the Message Mapping in XI

    Hi All,
    I am facing error while activating a simple Message Mapping (Mapping which I have created using XI’s graphical mapping tool). What I understood from the error log is that, even though we are doing the graphical mapping, internally XI is creating a java mapping program. And while activation its basically compiling the graphical mapping (internally a java program) and while compilation this java program we are getting the error.
    we have XI 3 with SP17 version java 1.4.2_06 running
    i have copied the part of default.trace file which has the error

  • Error when saving message mapping -

    Just upgradedto PI 7.1. System details below....
    Make Release NW07_08_REL  SPS Number 08  JDK Version jdk15
    Server Version SAP J2EE Engine 7.10.3710.43701.20090416112158
    Java Runtime Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (version=5.1.034)
    Java Virtual Machine SAP Java Server VM (version=5.1.034)
    Operating System AIX (version=5.3, arch=ppc64)
    I've been building an interface to test the developer tools and when I save my message mapping (it's a very simple graphical mapping) I get a java popup with the text 'Internal GUI error', I'm using Java WS Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_19-b02) as per the PI documentation.
    I recreated the problem timing each activity and saved the exception in a text file. I'm able to identify the relevant section of the exception biut it's meaningless to me. I searched SDN & OSS and I can't find any specific hits. Those that are similar (different SAP applications - WebDynPro for example) point towards incompatible s/w components - Java Run Time environment etc.... I've cleared the Java WS cache (Edit>Preferences>Delete Files) just to make sure, but the problem still occurs. I'm looking for advice. I've pasted some of the exception details below. I can provide more information but it's a pretty long file.

    Hi,
    The scenario I am trying to test is a multi mapping scenario where I am trying to split one source message and create two target messages by using two different receiver interfaces, one for each message.
    I am on PI 7.1 and when I test message mapping and operation mapping using the payload from SXMB_MONI, it is successful. Whereas when I test the scenario end to end I am getting the following error messages:

  • Activation error in message mapping

    Hi,
    while activating Message mapping i am getting the error like this.
    how to get rid of this error?
    error:
    Activation of the change list canceled Check result for Message Mapping MM_XXXXXX | http://www.xyerxd.com/mm
      Imported source message has invalid reference IDoc
    DEBMAS.DEBMAS06 | urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages
    Imported target message has invalid reference Message Type MT_Receiver  | http://www.xyerxd.com/mm

    hi
    Hope you are using the inactive versions of message/Idoc types for mapping.
    First activate the message/Idoc types used in the message mapping.
    Then open the message mapping, from the menu choose refresh.
    Complete the mapping and test.
    Now do the activation.

  • Creation of CDATA with message mapping

    Hello all,
    Is everyone absolutely sure that a cdata string cannot be created in the middle of an xml file using message mapping?
    I have tried doing the XSL map in other blogs I even tried writing a whole XSL map in xml spy - yet xi complains about not finding this class file and that class file.  I'm having a hard time believing that this is so hard to do in XI - especially when Microsoft web service implementation seem to long for data crammed into a string ( in my experience ).
    Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
    Thank you!!!
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
             Pls follow the following steps to insert XML string into a single element:
    Create a xsl file with the following data:
    <?xml version='1.0' ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" <i><b>NSpace</b></i>>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <namespace:name1>
    <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[<![CDATA[]]></xsl:text><xsl:copy-of select="<b>//namespace:name</b>"/><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[]]]]></xsl:text><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[>]]></xsl:text>
    </namespace:name1>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    In the above code I have removed xmlns:p2="http://frik.bcc.com.pl" which is not needed.
    Also you have to put '<b>//</b>' before the target element from where you want to start creating XML string over here it is <b>name</b>. And <b>name1</b> is the element you want to store the XML string in.
    So anything in the element <b>name</b> will be stored in <b>name1</b>
    Regarding the <b>namespace:</b> To find out the namespace test your message mapping between the source and the target without adding XSLT mapping. After testing click on <b>'SCR'</b> tab present on top of the target window. There you will see <b>ns1: or ns2:</b> attached to each element. Replace <b>namespace</b> in the above code with <b>ns1: or ns2:</b>.  And replace <b>NSpace</b> in the above XSL Header with the namespace in the SCR of test map.
    So the final XSL file will look like that:
    <?xml version='1.0' ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" <i><b>xmlns:ns1="http://sap.com/xi/HR"</b></i>>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <<b>ns1:</b>name1>
    <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[<![CDATA[]]></xsl:text><xsl:copy-of select="<b>//ns1:name</b>"/><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[]]]]></xsl:text><xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[>]]></xsl:text>
    </<b>ns1:</b>name1>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    Dont forget to put '//' before the target element.
    This should work. Or pls put the source and target xml struct and we will assist you further.

    Ashish

  • Soap lookup in PI7.31 message mapping

    Hi All,
    I have a soap lookup created in UDF in PI message mapping
    I am taking material id from the source structure and use it as input parameter for the lookup webservice
    Here is the UDF code which takes material number and returns the internal id
    AbstractTrace trace = container.getTrace();
    String matintid = "";
    try {
    //instance the channel to invoke the service.
    Channel channel = LookupService.getChannel("BS_Bus","CC_SearchLookup");
    SystemAccessor accessor = LookupService.getSystemAccessor(channel);
    // The Request message in XML. THIS IS THE LOOKUP SERVICE
      String SOAPxml = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?><searchTM_MATERIAL>xmlns:ns0=\"MDM_MAT_Search_MDM"><query><criteria><fTX_MATERIAL><constraint><value>"

    InputStream inputStream =new ByteArrayInputStream(SOAPxml.getBytes());
    XmlPayload payload = LookupService.getXmlPayload(inputStream);
    Payload SOAPOutPayload = null;
    //The response will be a Payload. Parse this to get the response field out.
    SOAPOutPayload = accessor.call(payload);

    Hi Mike,
    What I suspect is, you get a null pointer exception because the XML tag name which you are trying to retrieve, has a namespace. Could you please instead try to use:
    getElementsByTagNameNS(java.lang.String namespaceURI, java.lang.String localName)
              Returns a NodeList of all the Elements with a given local name and namespace URI in document order.
    Let us know if it works.

  • Mapping Versions/History in Integration Repository

    We are running PI7.0 - SP10....  A highly suspect version with some ropey patches supplied by SAP!
    We have imported a Mapping version into our XIT system that does not work, however, our XID system is about to be either restored or upgraded due to some "Beta testing" we have been doing on an SAP Note - SAP are helping us much as possible as it was their "fix" that caused the problem!
    However, we need to carry on testing, and I am trying to restore the mapping in XIT.    There is an option for Mapping Version - under Message Mapping - History.
    You can use this to Open an older version.  However, we would like to revert to this older version to enable the user acceptance testing.
    Is this possible?  When I close the window, it reverts back to the most recent version.

    Barry,
    If you open the history version and go to change mode, the system asks you whether you want to use this version as the current. Select 'Yes', make a change to the message mapping (the descrion, for instance) and save and acitvate the mapping.
    Kind regards,
    Koen

  • Request Message mapping in SXMB_MONI for File - RFC - File without BPM

    Hi ,
    In my File-RFC-File scenario, the messages are processed successfully.
    but when i look into the SXMB_MONI for File to RFC step, the records are present only till the  Message split According to Receiver List and not able to see the records from Request Message mapping step onwards.it contains
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
      <ns1:Z_PI_LOTUSNOTES_UNIFORM xmlns:ns1="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions" />
    in my mapping for the receiver RFC i have not done the mapping for all the fields. few fields i have disabled. whether this could create a problem in message mapping. pls let me know what needs to be done.

    Is it only for this scenario that the above display issue is occuring or is it for all scenarios?
    If onlt a particular Pipeline steps are displayed then you can check what is the TRACE level set in SXMB_ADM --> Integration Engine Configuration --> and check if the TRACE parameter is set to at least 2 (max is 3 which will ensure that your DB will get full quickly)
    For more information refer: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/05/10/xi-i-cannot-see-some-of-my-messages-in-the-sxmbmoni

    Hi all,
    Thanks for ur prompt responses.
    I followed the blog and performed testing of the mapping.
    The XML with which i tried was as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <ns:CondRec_MT xmlns:ns="http://namespace-ConditionRecords">
    <Recordset>
         <ConditionRecord>

              <RelToPricing>X</RelToPricing>
         </ConditionRecord>
    </Recordset>
    </ns:CondRec_MT>
    this gave the following error:
    Cannot produce target element /ns:CondRec_MT/ConditionRecord. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
    But when i removed the tag 'RECORDSET', it works fine and output gets genersted.
    My datatype has no such field called recordset.
    The adapter generates it on its on.
    How do i solve this issue.

    Hi Deviprasad,
    It looks like a mapping error, test your mapping in IR with the payload from SXMB_MONI. You can refer michal's weblog on <a href="/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/16/xi-how-to-test-your-mapping-in-real-life-scenarios to test your mapping (in real life scenarios)</a>
    In other words you copy the XML message from monitoring and exectute the mapping in Integration Builder with maximal trace to get the reason.
