what is the Diff between Message & Message TYPE ?

Hi,
Message explains the most important error messages and system messages displayed by the system and recommends how you should deal with these messages ("user action").
Every message has a unique message number that is assigned to a number range. You can use this number range to find out which component of the database system caused the error message to be displayed.
Message type represents the group in which every basic IDoc types must belong. A message type is conceptually the nature of the data transmitted within an IDoc.
For example, the MATMAS message type is related to material master data, Material Master. To this MATMAS message type is associated several basic IDoc types: MATMAS01, MATMAS02, MATMAS03, MATMAS04 et MATMAS05. Each basic IDoc type is able to contain essential data on material master data. MATMAS01 is the first version, each subsequent version increments the sequence number (MATMAS02, etc.) and adds fields comparing with the previous version.

I am trying to get media from my computer, and I only receive this error message :
This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed?
What should I do? I have a window 8 laptop. My video files are from my itouch/ipod. I am using Premiere Elements 7.
I have used this software with success before. HELP would greatly be appreciated!

Did both laptop 1 and 2 have QuickTime (latest version or any version) installed on the computers with Premiere Elements 7 when you got this "this type of file......" message?
If you go to the opened Premiere Elements 7 projects involved and look at Share/Personal Computer/QuickTime, do you find that QuickTime Presets are shown and that you find export settings choices under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
Look at the file name of the video. Do you see any irregularies in the name of the file, dots and such?
If you record new iPod footage, open a new Premiere Elements project, and import that iPod footage, do you still get the error message? Putting aside, iTouch, what model iPod are these videos coming from?

The persons name is not in my contacts and I would like to delete it from popping up. Do you know how I can do this?

The Mail app on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch does have an option to clear previous recipients. You can learn to live with it. But if you want to get rid of it, the only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone/iPod Touch as a new phone/iPod. If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.

Error message is 'TYPE' is not a component of data object 'PAYLOAD'.

Hello,
I have sceanrio where file->Synchronus bapi ->File.
For this I have defined a bpm.
Text file inut will be read and converted using sender FCC.
Bpm will call a synchronus bapi from r/3 and collect response. I need to create a success or error response file from the status of bapi response. I have used switch step to do that.
But here when I give condtion as this XPath SOResonse./p1:Z_BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROM3.Response/RETURN1/TYPE = S, SXI_CACHE gives status of bpm as 99 and error message is 'TYPE' is not a component of data object 'PAYLOAD'.
At the same time if i just put a condition of simple type container variable (SuccessCounter = 0), it gives status 0 in SXI_CACHE.
Pl can anyone suggest on this as its urgent.

'S' message in BDC and message of type 'A' in batch input session

We have to upload data for ABZON transaction of assets. When we use LSMW with recording method and try to upload say 3 records. All teh records are updated successfully but the batch input session log says last two records with a message of type 'A' "leave transaction is not possible in batch input"
But when we upload the same data with BDC program with call transaction then teh log shows same message with type 'S'.
what could be the reason for this?
Though data gets uploaded successfully the 'A' message is being displayed in LSMW batch input log.
if anyone has encountered a similar problem pls let us know how to resolve this asap.

Can not dequeue JMS message of type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE using DBMS_AQ

I'm having a problem using DBMS_AQ package to dequeue a JMS message of type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE that was put on the queue using Java JMS API.
Both JMS header and payload return empty but if I do "select user_data" from the queue table, I can see the message.
Appreciate any helps or tips.

This has been asked a lot of times - I'm not sure how my initial searching missed all of the other questions/answers related to this topic.
In our case, the solution was to:
1) Leave the queue as a sys.aq$_jms_text_message type
2) Construct a sys.xmltype object with our desired payload
3) Do a getStringVal() on the xmltype object and use that string as the payload for our queue message

Source message Message Type: POR does not exist in software component versi

HI All,
I have a .tpz file exported from an SRM 4.0 PI system which i have imported in SRM 7.0 ECC 6.0 PI.
I have imported the .tpz file through the import through "client" option.
I am able to open all the objects but i am not able to open the Message mappings.....
It is throwing the following error:
Source message Message Type: PurchaseOrderRequest does not exist in software component version xx_xx_PO_PROCESSING, 1.0 of xx.com Check whether software component version xx_xx_PO_PROCESSING, 1.0 of xx.com is in the Enterprise Services Repository. Import this or a newer version if necessary.
This needs to resolved very urgently...

Hi,
I'd say you need to import some other SWCV which has all the IDOC typos you use in your scenario
probably this is a prerequisite for importing your SWCV
I don't think this is related to sp level or anything like that
it's just that SWCV is missing

Messages of type 'I' in Transformation

Hi,
I try to give out messages of type 'I' in a characteristic routine of a transformation:
      monitor_rec-msgid = 'ZBW'.
      monitor_rec-msgty = 'I'.
      monitor_rec-msgno = '000'.
      monitor_rec-msgv1 = 'Missing Vehicle code link for Model Code: '.
      monitor_rec-msgv2 = SOURCE_FIELDS-model_code.
      APPEND MONITOR_REC to MONITOR.
But they only show up in the process monitor when I use the message type E:
      monitor_rec-msgid = 'ZBW'.
      monitor_rec-msgty = 'E'.
      monitor_rec-msgno = '000'.
      monitor_rec-msgv1 = 'Missing Vehicle code link for Model Code: '.
      monitor_rec-msgv2 = SOURCE_FIELDS-model_code.
      APPEND MONITOR_REC to MONITOR.
Any idea why this happens? I work on BW 7.0. On BW 3.5 I had never problems with this.

Hi Lars,
did you check the application log? May be they are displayed there. Additionally did you change I to W? May be that is working.

Message of type E in ALV Grid Control

Hello All,
When I am giving a message of type 'E', the application is getting terminated.
I hope for this reason, we have the ADD_PROTOCOL_ENTRY method to raise the error messages in ALV. But the problem is, we can call this method only in Data_Changed event.
But, if want to raise an error message in F4 event or Hotspot event, what to do?
Its really very urgent. Please help me out.

you can use following code if you are trying to pass message with type 'E' for hotspot.
where user_command you have to pass in ALV_GRID_DISPLAY FM.
FORM user_command USING ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
                        selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
This routine is called when the HOTSPOT is used
READ TABLE t_final_data INDEX selfield-tabindex.
" where t_final_data is internal table which was passed in ALV_GRID_DISPLAY
CHECK sy-subrc = 0.
CASE ucomm.
    WHEN '&IC1'.
      CASE selfield-sel_tab_field.
        WHEN OTHERS or field name.
          MESSAGE e<message number>(<message class>)
                  WITH '<message>.
      ENDCASE.           "selfield-sel_tab_field
ENDCASE.               "ucomm
ENDFORM.                    "user_command

PO message output type

HI,
I have configured one document type and configured all the settings for message output type.
But while creatin PO for one plant it is coming for another Plant it is not coming.
pls advice

Hi,
Please see whether the document type and the Purchasing group are same in both the PO's for different Plants. If not, maintain the required combination.
Generally, for standard PO output types, we have the following Key combinations:
- Purchasing Org/ vendor
- Document Type/ Purchasing Org/ vendor
- Document Type
- Purchasing Org
So, if your key combination is for Purchasing Org and if your two Plants does not belong to the same Purchasing Org, then the error will come.
Please check once again.

I am setting up QA system after successful building of Dev System .
While chnaging newly created folder in QA system gives error message - Message no. 26168, Document type '' not defined .
Document Type exists and are used to create folders successfully.
Why I am getting this error?

When trying to change ringtone I keep getting the error message file type not supported.

I have downloaded some ringtones fro VZ Tones and when I go to make them the default it gives me the error message file type not supported. If I go to my storage and try to look at pictures, it tells me the same thing.

That's definitely odd CrystiDawn, and I understand it can be quite frustrating. Let's get to the bottomof this. What device make and model phone do you have? Did you receive a text message with a link to download the ringtones? If so, once downloaded, please go to all your Apps, locate "Files" and play the ringtone using the media player. You will have the option to set it as ringtone while playing and pressing the menu icon. Were the pictures taken from the phone or transferred using the USB cable?

hi,
u can do it 2 ways
1. create a message class
Goto SE91 transaction
Enter the Message Class no.
Create a message [& & & &] -> save
in ur report prgm.
try like this.
message I000(messageclassname) with ' ur message hereeeeeeeeee'
or
message ' message nameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' type 'I'.

What appears to be happensin is that before the actual download finishes/restore starts. the recovery mode is timing out. I would do a manual download using the instructions here:
iDevice Troubleshooting 101 :: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Then place the iPod in Recovery mode and restore using the instructions in the link.

How can I resolve this issue and continue using Photoshop Touch which otherwise works great with my tablet.

It seems like you might have to rename them to jpg.
