Message not displaying in print command

Hi Experts,
I have created a smart form, in the driver program it is selecting data from some of the tables if not found it will issue an message and terminate the process ie, will not print the form.
This form has been configured in standard where there is option to chose print or print priview.
All works fine when print privew is selected but when print is selected it directly go to the spool even in the case when select statment fails, ideally it sholud issue a message and should not go to spool however in the spool it has nothing to print and fails but what I want is it should not go to the spool even, when the select statment fails.

Hi Bikas,
Generally you would have the select statement before calling the smartform. I mean you will select the required data in to variables or internal tabn\le and then pass it to the smartform for display.
What you could do is, After your select statement, check for SY-SUBRC and if it is not equal to 0, give an error message which would stop the program from porcessing further.

I am having a similar problem on my machine. I was using Word 2008 and I created a PDF inside Word.
I am opening the file on the system itself and I am running Windows 8.1. I am using Version 11 of Reader.
When the PDF I created (my resume) attempts to open, it says: cannot find or create the file Times, Bold. Some characters may not display or print correctly.
However, the entire Reader keeps freezing and will not allow me to open or test print the document. Also, it is not displaying any of the Bold Times New Roman Print. Can you please help? Thanks.

Error message is :
"Cannot extract the embedded font 'F2'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."
Many pdf documents display this error with Adobe Reader 8.1.0. We have errors for embedded fonts 'F0','F3','F7' and so on.
It looks like a Adobe Reader bug because :
- All PDF files can be opened with Acrobat Reader 5.0.5, 6.x and 7.x, can't be opened with 8.1.0 version.
- the 8.1.1 update removes only the bug for 'F0' error message (issue #1572280).
The solution :
- to publish a 8.1.2 update to fix this important bug
- is there a registry parameter or tool option to disable the checking added in 8.x version of Adobe Reader ? The 8.x version catches more errors to be compliant with Adobe specification but Adobe reader must be
compliant with all documents generated by third party products.
This Adobe Reader bug applies to Windows Vista, XP Pro SP2, 2000.

Just to let you know, for anyone else with this problem. I had this problem occur on a MAC when you tried to do save to PDF in excel. This was all happening at the point of generation of the PDF in my case.
The fix was to delete ALL the microsoft preferences, but perahps only the font cache needed to be deleted.
I deleted the following areas from the local users userprofile on the mac. On windows, I would probably log in as a differnet user to try to see if the problem just exsists for one particular user.
Here are the sections I deleted:
Library/caches/metadata/Microsoft*
Username/library/preferences/com.microsoft* ( and anyhting with microsoft in it)
I did leave the entourage settings though.

I am currently using Adobe Reader version 9.1.3. When I open certain files, it displays the following message, "Cannot extract the embeded font 'KDGXKF+TTF5BC9A0t00'.Some characters may not display or print correctly". Some fonts are actually missing and will not display when printing. I have tried updating adobe but the problem still persists. Under file properites, the following font TTF5BC9A0t00 is recognised by Adobe as true type and custom encoding. Anyone has any suggestions for fix??

BUT, does it say "embedded" or "embedded subset" next to the font name. If not, the font isn't included in the file and if you don't have it, it can't display or print it.
The file creator will need to embed the fonts properly although "some" fonts don't allow embedding. This could be one of them.

vendor reference entered in NumAtCard in AP invoice get copied to Ref2 in Journal Entry,then

We are using SAP Business One 2005 B (7.40.252) SP: 00 PL: 36.
Whether upgrade to latest patch 2005B PL46 will solve this issue ?

I would like to draw your attention to the enhancements we delivered within Aging Report in 2007 version and plan for 8.8 release.
The primary enhancement in 2007 version is reflecting new concept of Internal Reconciliation with more convenient backward reporting.
Within the 8.8 release ...
- when you generate the aging report you can group the report by customer or sales employee in the customer receivables aging report, and by vendor or buyer in the vendor liabilities aging report;
- when the aging report has been generated, you can view multicustomer/multivendor detailed information in the aging report window. There is no need to double-click each customer/vendor row to view the details.
We would strongly to recommend you to upgrade to 2007 version or join the ramp-up of 8.8 release soon.

Email messages not displaying since Marverick installation

Since I installed Maverick this morning I am having countelss problems particularly with Apple Mail
1) Smart mailboxes: it takes forever to display content
2) Messages not displaying: some old email messages appear suddently as blank messages, not text, headers or anything. Even when trying to display message as "raw source" nothng happens. Absolutely BLANK
3) Gmail: "All mail" folders from Gmail disapeared after upgrade
I restarted the computer, I restarted Apple Mail several times and still have the same problems.
Any suggestions? If not, how do I downgrade to the previous OS version?

Is this with a specific account or all three accounts?
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

I am optimizing to create a smaller lores file to email .

I am not trying to remove the font.
I am trying to reduce the size of the file to email.
After optimizing the file this error pops up.
I have tried changing the setting for fonts but no success.

Some fonts do not display or print

Some of my fonts (that were working fine) no longer display or print properly after upgrading to Mountain Lion (10.8.3). They worked fine in 10.6.8. Most of the ones that do this are TrueType fonts. I ran "validate font" and it showed no errors. Is there a way to fix this (other than buy all new fonts)?

Boot in safe mode. This will cause certain caches maintained by the system to be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to boot than normal.
When the login screen appears, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.

Error message not displayed in a pop up

I have a pop up screen in my web dynpro with a input field and two buttons.
i have a error message written in the WDDOBEFOREACTION method of my pop up window. But the message is not displayed on the window. But If the same is written in the event handler of the button click it is triggered.
Please help me to display the message with the code in WDDOBEFOREACTION method .

strange..
wddobeforeaction will trigger then event handler wil trigger then wddoafteraction will trigger.
Did you put a break point in wddobeforeaction?

"Quality and Media" not displaying in Print dialog.

I am using Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard on a Macbook Pro with a Canon MB5220 Multifunction printer over WiFi. I have installed the Canon Drivers and can print to the printer but the "Quality and Media" menu choice does not display in the print dialog so I can't set any of the quality settings or the color settings for the printer.
I installed and re-installed the drivers. Tried with several applications such as TextEdit and preview. Only menu choices are Layout, Color Matching, Paper Handling, Cover Page, Scheduler.
Is there anything that would keep Quality and Media from dispaying?

It's not just the Quality & Media menu that appears to be missing. There are three other Canon menus you should see like below;
These menu items are supported by the plugins bundle installed in /Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter/PDEs, which supports a number of Canon inkjet printers. Since reinstalling the driver for the MG5220 has not helped then I would try a reset of the printing system and then adding the printer again. To reset the printing system, open Print & Fax, move the mouse over the Printers list and Control-click. The reset popup will appear. Select it and authenticate if prompted and then restart the Mac. Please note that this action will remove all printer and scanner queues from Print & Fax, but not the associated drivers so just the queues will need to be added again.
If this action does not resolve the problem then try running the Canon Driver Update v2.6.
