Message Note : "Resolution screen should be 1024 by 768 pixels"

Kindly advice :
when processing transaction code ZSD1ALL01 in MySAP Upgrade version 6.0 of SAP, message appear "Resolution screen should be 1024 by 768 pixels". how do we maintain this setting?
Thank you.

To change or check the settings for your screen resolution, please follow these steps:
-  From your task bar at the bottom-left corner of your Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP computer, click once on "Start."
-  Select "Settings."
-  Select "Control Panel." A window should open up with the control panels for your operating system.
-  Select "Display" and then "Settings" from the tab menu.
-  Using your mouse, click down, hold, and slide the horizontal bar toward the right, where it reads, "More."
-  Slide the bar until it reads "1024 by 768" or greater.
-  It is recommended that you use a fairly high resolution setting that will allow you to use the most screen space possible, anything from 1024 by 768 to 1280 by 1084. Anything higher than this will probably make some things too small to read on your screen, although the degree of detail will be higher.
thanks

  • What is the .dpi for a 42" television screen with a 1024 x 768 resolution?

Hello! I am fairly new to PowerPoint and I am designing slides to be seen on a 42" television screen and the resolution is 1024x768. I am designing my graphics in Photoshop to be inserted into the PowerPoint slide. My question is, what dpi do I need to use in photoshop to display correctly on the 42" 1024x768 res TV screen. I know you need 300dpi for print and 72dpi for computers. Thanks so much!

Are you sure your television is displaying at that resolution?
If it did, you just need to design a file at 1024 pixels by 768 pixels (I would go with 96 ppi, which is the PC logical inch), though any resolution (300 ppi, 72 ppi, 96 ppi) will suffice. Powerpoint might have a preference for 96 ppi, if you still design files in inches.
But you really need to figure out the actual pixel size of your display before you proceed, if you want optimal files.

  • ?: Which resolution screen should i get on a w540 for heavy photoshop use

    Hello,
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.
I am going to purchase a w540 soon and will be using it for accounting and for Photoshop CC. It is very important to me that the laptop works well with Photoshop as i edit images on a daily basis.
Im not sure which screen resolution to order, the 1920x1080 or the 2880x1620. Of course i would love to have the higher resolution display, however, i have read that Photoshop will not run properly at the present time on a high rez windows display. The UI is virtually unuseable.
If you can shed some light on the subject i would really appreciate it. Im thinking that i might be better off ordering the 1920x1080 display because i want the laptop to work well with Photoshop, but i wasnt sure how legitimate this problem is.
Thanks much for your help with this!
    best,
    rick

There is a workaround for now here, and adobe said is working on it.
If the 1080p is the same as in the w530 then that should be fine since it has a nice gamut. But I haven't seen any reviews yet. I will also be using photoshop/premiere and I hope it will be fixes soon since I ordered it with the QHD display.
FHD panel in W540 has specs which are inferior to the ones seen in T/W 510/520/530.

  • Messages not remembering screen position

This has happened a few times now--email messages don't "remember" where to open on the screen. No combination of re-positioning, quitting, re-starting, and re-opening solves the problem. In the past, the problem just vanished as inexplicably as it appeared, but it's going on day 2 now and is really annoying. Anyone know a solution? Maybe trashing a plist file?

Still a problem in day 4. Has anybody else experienced this?

  • 1024 X 768 resolution...alright already.

My screen resolution IS set at 1024 X 768 - why do I keep getting an error message that says I should change it to the best optimal viewing resolution of 1024 X 768?

    Bill,
What is your interest or need for 1024x768? Is it because that's the size of your original images? Is that the size you want to output? If the latter, why that size - for example, are you thinking you need that size to fill the screen when you show the photos?
iPhoto, iMovie, FCE and iDVD can ALL do slideshows of your photos and include a music track. They accept 1024x768 original images. All except iDVD can output a QuickTime file of your finished slideshow, including the music. The video apps will adjust the size of your photos to fit standard DV 4:3 720x480 (or possibly HD dimensions of 1280x720 or 1920x1080 if you work in HD) - but sizing in the video realm is not the same as sizing in the digital photo realm. If your concern is image quality, regular DV 720x480 will give you a very nice quality image on your screen.
iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD can also automatically adjust the onscreen time of each photo so that the complete slideshow matches the length of the music track.
Is that what you were looking for?
Note: I just read your following post and realized you are in the UK, the DV pixel sizes I mentioned above are NTSC, not PAL.

  • Compress HD at 1024 x 768

Hi - we produced some videos in After Effects for an installation. Because of limited material, we had to produce 1024 x 768, widescreen. Now we're going to MPEG2 for display. But Compressor will not let me export at 1024 x 768. I can't change the size; it says it will export based on source materials info, but it doesn't. It exports at 1280 x 720.
Can anyone help me with this? The final playback is on HDTV monitors that play several resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 from the Technovision DV-75.
    Any advice will help.
    Thanks, Geralyn

    Hi Geralyn,
Compressor won't export to MPEG2 at 1024x768 as that is not an MPEG2 supported resolution (frame size). You will need to use one of the supported sizes.
    From the Compressor User manual:
Note Since MPEG-2 for DVD uses fixed video frame sizes (shown in the table below), Compressor enters the output frame size in the fields in the Geometry pane based on your video format selection.
    Format                Frame size
    NTSC                   720x480
    720p                   1280x720
    1080i (HD res)     1440x1080
    1080i (Std res)     1920x1080

  • Presentation Director allows only max 1024 x 768

    Hi,
I have a T42 and recently purchased a 22" LCD monitor to connect through my dock station. When I dock my thinkpad I can only see in 1024*768 resolution and would like to configure it to 1280*1024. When I do it manually and undock the Thinkpad its LCD remains in 1280*1024 and to restore it to 1024*768 It asks to reboot windows.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks.
    Juan

The Syncmaster 510 is a 15" LCD monitor and the highest resolution it supports is 1024 x 768. That is why you can't get it to go higher. You will need to upgrade to a larger monitor in order to have 1280 x 800 on the external monitor.

  • Record 1024 x 768 and resize to 800 x 600

    Hi all,
Does anybody know if it possible within Captivae 5.5 to record a screen which is 1024 x 768 and later crop the recorded sheets to 800 x 600? I would like to record the full screen because of the menu's etc. but the LMS needs a 800 x 600 swf file
    Hope to hear from you

    Hi there,
Strange, seached for it a couple of days and after adding this issue the solutions appears. For who want to know i record on my desktop 1440 x 900 and choose for Modify >> Rescale Project to 1024 x 640. This results in a full screen video but a little smaller.

  • Error Message that my resolution is not 1024 x 768

I downloaded Presenter 9 as a trial (Windows 7/Powerpoint 2010). When I tried to record a video from within Powerpoint, I got an error message that said my screen resolution is not 1024 x 768, even though I verified that it was set properly. I called the Adobe Technical support 800 number and was told that in order to record a video from within Powerpoint, I need to have Captivate installed first. Is that so?
Also, does Presenter work with my computer's built-in camera? I seem to remember seeing a video on Adobe's website that explained that Presenter will work with the built-in camera, but an HD camera is recommended.
Presenter seems like an amazing product, but I just wish I could get it to work.

Did the error message come up when you hit REC or when the video recording application opens?
There is an option to change the settings for this tool, it is the gear looking button on the top right of the video recording dialog.
It will open a window where you can change the resolution of the video and screen capture and at the bottom is the check box telling Presenter to make the change to the desired resolution automatically. (The check box is partially obscured here)
Try playing with these settings and see if that helps.

  • Bottom left screen messages not showing

Computer Acer Aspire Laptop running Win 7 (Home Premium) 64 bit with large screen fonts. Husband's older Dell desktop running Win 7 (Professional) 32 bit (1024 x 768) shows messages at left side of foot of page confirming access to server for mail received or, that there is no mail to collect - this does not happen on the Acer, which only shows up very occasional messages, like the software is up to date. Is there a cure for the lack of messages on the Acer laptop?

I will look through this a bit later, but in the meantime I have had a message appear in the Status bar when a new e-mail arrives - this one read as "[email protected] is up to date" and it disappeared when the new e-mail was opened. I think that this is a problem with Win 7 64 bit running a 32 bit application on this particular computer - for some reason, the messages are flashed up so fast and for such a short time that they just are not seen, or don't make it to the screen display. Apart from this problem, the program seems to operate perfectly, so I will just live with the relatively minor lack of information. Very many thanks for your kind efforts to help.

  • Why is the lock screen message not centered?

In the Security & Privacy settings, we now have a graphical method for setting a login message instead of having to use terminal. I have noticed an issue though. On the login screen, the message displays as it should, centered on the screen at the bottom. However, at the lock screen, the message is centered but it is positioned at the bottom right of the screen. Judging by the way it looks, I would say it should not do this.
I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else? If so, I will submit a bug report.

Yes, I've also noticed this behaviour (in Lion)—albeit not all of the time: sometimes the message is positioned in the centre of the lock screen, but mostly it is positioned to the right.
In my mind this strongly suggests the behaviour is a bug and I have submitted a report to that effect.

  • Screen Resolution - want to go to 1280 x 1024 from 1024 x 768 !!

Is there any way of increasing the screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 from 1024 x 768 ??

Unsupported screen resolutions generally are not possible on internal
displays; some screen spanning software (unsupported by Apple?)
and ResX third-party patches may allow you to use those higher res-
olutions on an external display. But since they are not supported
officially by Apple, any hack to your system software/hardware which
could result in hardware damages to the computer will not be covered
under any Apple warranties on your computer.
So, were you trying to change the internal display's resolution beyond
specs or try running a different res external display?!
Best of luck in your experimentation.

  • Satellite Pro A30 - 1024 X 768 screen resolution only

My Satellite Pro A30 will only run at a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 can I increase this ? I did not see any options in the display settings or the BIOS

    Hi Carl,
I believe that 1024 X 768 is the maximum availavle screen size for your A30. You can, of course reduce this to a smaller value if you wish but you will not be able to increase it.
The value is set in the deisplay properties available from the control panel, or by right clicking on the desktop area and selecting 'properties'. The value is set by the slider in the lower left hand corner of the window.
