Message Notification Problems

I had bought my C6-00 last month and now it has already started slowing down...
major problem is that I dont get notified for d messages that I receive...
so I jst end up lookin at my phone again and again to see if I hav got any msgs...
I get alerted for incoming call but not for d msgs...
Please help me out....

Go to File Manager and see how much memory you have left. Try to delete some stuff and clear your browser cache.

Messaging notification problem

For the past few days whenever my screens unlocked and I get a message the banner appears but doesn't disappear after a few seconds like it should've but it doesn't until you click on it which then it takes you to messaging. What I want is to have the banner appear for a few seconds when the screens unlocked and disappears after that few seconds. I tried messing around with the settings but it doesn't seem to work. When the screens locked it works perfectly fine and everything. Help?

If you haven't already done so, does restarting or resetting the iPhone help the issue? You may want to reset it while connected to power.

After updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google,yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. How can solve this problem?

after updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google(web ,image,video,map etc),yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. even I cant log out from different sites cz the log out bar is completely disabled. I tried with Firefox 4;5 and 6, same problem exist . I tried by active all add ons for facebook, same problem exist. If I use internet explorer , I don't find such problem with it.
How can I solve this problem?

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

Message Notifications Won't Go Away, And More...

So my girlfriend's Curve 8900 is getting on our collective last nerve. About a week ago she noticed that message notifications kept builing and building regardless of whether new messages are coming in. Over the period of two days it said that it had over a thousand new messages, but there were none.
So, I tried battery pull several times, even pulled the SIM card. Eventually plugged it in to the computer to try to rebuild the message database in the desktop manager, and discovered another problem. Desktop manager sees the BB, it gives me a PIN and everything. But when I try to go to Backup Restore-->Advanced I get "there was a communication error between the device and the desktop manager." Trying to update the Curve gets me the same error. This is on a Vista Laptop, btw. Tried all this out on my iMac, with the same results which says to me it has to be the phone itself.
No settings have been changed in the last few weeks. No new apps have been installed.
I'm getting the feeling that this is gonna be alot of trouble. Any and all help would be greatly appriciated, I'm out of ideas.
btw-contacted tmobile, they were absolutely zero help and knew less about this thing than I do.

No messaging notifications or caller id on Lumia 9...

As of a couple of days ago, I haven't been receiving messaging notifications.
I still recieve the message, they just don't show up on the live tile, the lock screen or make a sound.
It's getting very frustrating.
Also, whenever I recieve a call, I don't get their caller ID. It just shows a number even though I definitely have them on my contacts.
I'm using a Lumia 920

Hi, I'm in New Zealand and have a similar (and almost contradictory) problem.
When I first got my Lumia 920 I had my contacts loaded in the form 027 1234567 (where 027 is a mobile prefix in New Zealand).
Then I started to get texts and they arrived in the format +64271234567 (+64 is the country code for New Zealand), so no callerID for text messages was working.
I figured the phone needed an international format for phone numbers so I went through all my contacts and added the +64 country code and removed the leading 0 for the area code. That sorted all the text messages, they correctly get linked to contacts. Sorted, I thought.
But then I started receiving calls and they came through in the format 0271234567, so now no callerID works for calls.
The phone seems to want both formats, and we apparently need to double up all our phone numbers (country code included and excluded), since this applies to both landlines and mobiles.
Is there any way around this? Is this a known bug that's being worked on or a 'feature'?

How to turn on the message notification?

the message notification on my nokia 5230 is turned off and i dont know how to turn it on... i always have to check my inbox to see if i have any new messages

I'm having the same problem, my profile has an alert tone set, but still fails to notify me when I recieve a text message. Call alerts are still working. I have tried other profiles and they do not work either.
I suspect my device may be damaged, since this started happening shortly after I drove into a tree with it in my pocket...
If it's a software problem, will resetting to factory settings solve it?

The next step in user troubleshooting is restore from a backup. If that does not fix the problem, then a restore as a new device.

Ios 8.1.2 message notifications not working

Hey guys,
so I have a problem with notifications. I don't get any for certain Apps.
Hardware: iPhone 5S
OS: iOS 8.1.2
App-Updates: All up 2 date.
Problem: messaging notifications aren't working for: WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram Messenger, Wire, BBM Messenger.
Problem description: I don't get notifications (Lock screen, on app notifications (red dots on the app), drop down notification center, sounds) for above named apps. Notification settings are set, background app refresh on all apps are activated. This also happens on wifi, so it's not a 3G only problem.
But notifications are working for: Instagram, Facebook Messenger (ew), tumblr, Twitter.
What I've tried so far:
- restarted iPhone
- reset App notification settings (disable, re-enable)
- reset App background refresh settings (disable, re-enable)
- uninstalled and re-installed apps
- in-App log out and log in again
- set ringtones (message tones) to standard
- leaving the app open in background (works only for Telegram)
Has anybody of you another ideas for me? Bc I'm already a little bit p*ssed off. I need at least the messenger notifications working and I'm running out of ideas. Every suggestion is greatly appreciated.
And I know that it might be a 3rd party problem but what I don't get is that Instagram for example wasn't updated and worked, but in contrast WhatsApp, Telegram and Wire were updated but notifications don't work, not at all for WhatsApp and Wire. Did Apple change something at the APNs? And why didn't such things happen when Steve was still alive? I'm already a little bit angry at Apple for all the problems in the last few months.
Anyways, like I said, every suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Problem is not resolved on my iPhone 4s.
This problen is not present on iPhone 4s of my wife with same configuration.

Not always receiving MMS message notifications

I haven't received any MMS message notifications from my friends for approx. the last week, and they certainly have been sending them to me. I know this is definitely happening from Sprint and Verizon customers trying to send to me. I have had issues in the past where receiving from those networks would be flaky (meaning, sometimes I'd get them, sometimes I wouldn't). However, I receive ALL of their SMS, just not the MMS message notifications. Does anyone else have this problem?

Okay, I found the problem. After being elevated to a Level 2 technician, it turns out that upon changing my text plan over to the "Family Text Plan" last week, that it prevents MMS from being sent to iPhone users of that family account. I switched back to the iPhone Text Plan, and now all is well and I can received MMS again.
I asked her how many iPhone customers are being affected by this "publicly unknown" issue, and she said, "Probably a LOT!". She did say that later this summer all that will change with the new iPhone 3.0 MMS ability becomes active. HAHA, all those people will finally start getting texts that didn't know/understand before.

Messaging Notifications

My message notifications used to appear on my blank screen if I had my iPad cover shut. Now I have to press the button to see if I have a notification for a message as it only appears on the screen saver. This only started happening when I upgraded the operating system to iOS6. Was this a change? Does anyone else notice this?

No new message notification for Yahoo

Hi,
Even though I have new emails in my Yahoo account, I don't get a new message notification on my iPhone. Yes, the new emails are in my iPhone's Yahoo account inbox but there is no notification when I receive them. They all show up as if I had already opened and read them. I don't have this problem with any other account.
I tried fetch, push etc. but neither worked.
What do you suggest?

The first place to check when something like that is not notifying you is in Notification Center. See if all the settings are correct for Notification center for the alert, the alert sound, whether it will show on the lock screen, etc. If it is set, then check for Do Not Disturb (DND). That would have a crescent moon showing on the status bar.
If that is not on, you can try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. See if that helps.

Nokia N97 - No Text Message Notification and a Few...

I love my nokia n97, but i'm rapidly falling out of love with it, i have owned it since the end of august and this is the first time i have really hit a major problem with it.
The main problem being is, that the phone no longer gives me a text message notification or noise in that it being on the home screen it does say "1 new message" and i have to constantly have my inbox open to see when i have a new message and constantly check it all the time, for a person who is texting constantly this is probably one of the most annoying problems. If it makes any odds its using the mass memory.
I called the support line and have tried the following:
- Upgraded the firmware (no effect)
- Hard reset the phone (without the backed up data on it, the text message notification works, after placing data back on it, problem comes along again)
- Cleared cache (no different)
- Hard reset the phone and restored data on phone without the settings (this has worked for a while, less than a day, and is now playing up again)
Along with a few other problems that have started which i am confused whether it is the actual application or my phone that is the issue with this:
Facebook - No longer works proberly, freezes regulary, excessively slow at loading any content up.
AccuWeather - Can never find my location through gps and sometimes unable to load data for a pre-set location.
-At points through the day i do get error messages too that don't really make much sense, "cannot retrieve data" "error" and "internal error, reset phone"
Also when hard resetting the phone the second time round, originally built in applications disappeared so i had to re-download them through Ovi Store again.
Other problems include phone basically freezing regulary mainly on startup, and start up time being long before it lets me push a button, and loading content for the homescreen, the 3 widgets and the speed-dail take excessively longer than they use tooo.
My phone is suppose to be getting 'repaired' within 48 hours, is this true? I got told by a friend that his took 2 weeks+.
Or a replacement and how does this work and who is responsible for giving me a replacement. (Nokia, t-mobile, mobilephonesdirect?)
Could all these problems be linked back to a faulty sim card?
What on earth has happened to my phone, is this fixable, isit a software bug that cannot be sorted, why has this happened, why now, i have never run into any problems before?
Is there something in the data, i can't think of anything, if so what?
This problem started totally randomly?
Isit somesort of weird memory issue?
If i was to get a new phone, will i not run into the same problem again, what happens if i do? Do they keep replacing it or fixing it all the time?

N97 is going back in again today for them to confirm it is un-repairable and then they are going to send me out a new one.
The guy said it was a software issue which was caused by t-mobile putting their own software on the phone, which is absolutely stupid, if operator's software is going to cause a phone to malfunction, then don't let it on!!!

Your Sim message memory is full. Open messaging>options>view folders>options>Sim messages. Delete messages from there.

N80 no message notification

Hi,
Sicne around 1 month ago, I have not been receiving the "1 new message" notification when messages are received, nor does the phone make a noise or vibrate.
The only way I know I have new messages is if I go into the Messaging application and notice the red star next to the inbox.
I am also not getting any form of voicemail notification, so find I don't check for ages then realise I've missed half a dozen voicemails.
I've already tried a soft reset and this has not fixed the issue.
I am reluctant to do a hard reset as for some reason PC Suite fails when trying to backup the device and I do not want to lose all my messages etc.
Backing up to a memory card also fails saying the card is full, despite the fact I am trying with a totally empty memory card.
Any ideas what is causing this problem, and how I might be able to fix it?
My phone contract ends in just over a month so if there isn't an easy fix I'll just have to make do until I can throw it in the bin...

If you are confident all of the Notification Center settings are correct, ry a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

CUC 8.5 message notification outdial

Hello All
I've setup message notification to my cellular device for my user extension. The default outdials and transfers were changed to allow a 9 plus the 11 digit number. DTMF relay is turned on for the CCM dial peer on the h323 gateway.
When a message is left, unity dials my cellular phone, but when i'm prompted to enter my pin it ignores the dtmf. I think I've confirmed the dtmf is there through an asn1 debug:

Has anyone else run into this? Not sure what the problem might be. Codec for CUC is set to mulaw and the dial-peer to CCM has mulaw as its preference.

Description
Symptom:
Customer adds ES60 to existing CUC 8.5.1 and then phone notification for new voicemail breaks. It calls the site, person answers, gets the notification conversation, enters pin per conversation request, times out, CUC either requests the pin again or says DISCONNECTED and hangs up.
This issue is there on other CUC version also.
Conditions:
CUC 8.5.1 with ES60 just added.
