Message+ on a second phone?

I'd like to be able to install the Message+ application on an old Android phone and register it against my Verizon number in a similar fashion to how it can be configured on a tablet. Is this possible? Thanks!!

I think the app "knows" if it's downloading to a phone or a tablet. I do know that, even though tablets are assigned a phone number if activated with a data plan, you cannot use that number to text - it needs to be connected to PHONE number to work.
So the app is detecting a phone installation, and is looking for the number assigned to that device. I haven't yet played with this on a deactivated phone ... is there a place to enter a number of an active phone (the phone whose texts you want to see on this deactivated phone?) Or is it insisting on using the phone's number, that in this case isn't there?

Visual voicemail is a carrier feature, contact your cell phone provider and see if it is set up for you to use.

it's meant to work like that
so if you receive a message on your iphone you also get it on your ipad or ipod touch
to avoid it use separate appleID for each device
or turn off imessage on 1 or both devices in their settings
but that will not fix the issue that 2 devices using the same appleID will never be able to facetime eachother
the appleID is a unique handle for 1 user only

You need to setup different Receive At addresses for iMessage.
If you don't want the same pics on each, turn off PhotoStream.

It is likely a cellular provider issue. There are reports of this for many different brands of phones.

Itunes displays a message saying "there is no SIM installed in the phone you're trying to activate" even if there is the same SIM that was working minutes before.
The SIM works on a different phone I tested it.

“Could Not Activate EDGE” error message Update ...
Well it’s going on day 6 and still sporadic to no EDGE on my iPhone. At one time, it was thought to be a defective iPhone – since my partner’s iPhone works just fine.
After over three hours on the land line with AT&T and Apple, I was sent to the local Apple store for a replacement. Of course, as soon as I walked into the Apple store my iPhone worked just fine. ;-( The local store replaced my iPhone and suggested I go home and activate the phone as a NEW iPhone, that way if there was a bug in my data it would not carry over to the new phone. Did that and well… still sporadic to no EDGE. By the way, I have the Big White “E” to the right of the 5 bars and AT&T .
AT&T said last week they has “Software” issues in my area, but the CSR I talked to did not know what the issues were or if they were the cause of my problems. He did say they would call me back today to see how my iPhone was doing, but alas, no call back.
When I’m next to my partner, trying to access the same feature, his iPhone is just so fast. Mine hangs up, draws out and finally I get the error message, “Could Not Activate EDGE”. I am updated to version “1.1.4(4A102)”. New (refurbished) iPhone direct from Apple.
I remember reading a while back about some problems others had when they upgraded to from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4. I never had those problems, but it sure looks like they may have started. Does anyone remember what the problems with 1.1.4 were, what was done if anything to correct them, and best of all any suggestions?
By the way, this is Seattle, not some small – out of the way place where connection and signal strength is expected to be second rate. Also, I had full function of my iPhone from the day I bought it in June 2007, all the way up to Thursday March 20, at 2120.

Cannot call a second phone on Skype...

I can successfully call ONE phone number via Skype. But when I call a SECOND phone, it answers but cannot communicate either direction (I can't hear them, and they can't hear me).
I get an error message (only once the second call is added to the group call) that claims I have no sound card. Clearlly I have a sound card, or the first call would not have worked.
This does not happen when I use Skype-to-Skype. It only occurs when I'm calling PHONE NUMBERS, and only to the SECOND phone line that I call and add to the group.
Any advice?

TS4268 imessaging does not go to my second phone

My imessaging suddenly stopped working when I try to send message to my second iphone 5. It works with everyone else. It also is connecting to an old contact list rather than updated one. How can I delete old contact list. It pops up when I try to send message, but I can't pull it up otherwise.

It seems that, since "...when my bIphone is open it comes in...", your HKG Online nr. and call forwarding arrangements to your mobile phone in Netherlands is working fine.
As "...when the phone is simply in my pocket but ready and active to receive incoming calls it does not work", the source of problem would have been in your mobile phone.
Do you find any specific issue in the manual of your mobile phone concerning to this ?

Unfortunately, unless you had them backed up and stored elsewhere (like on the SD card or your computer), they most likely aren't retrievable.
Are you sure the phone is completely dead? Have you tried holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously for 15-20 seconds to see if that will reboot the phone?

Problem with Log-in on second phone device

I have a Premium account, but when I try to log in to my account on a second android phone device I am told that an account already exists with this log-in detail. Have two 4s's registered under the same apple account. The 1st phone was set up on the computer perfect. The second phone was set up by somebody who didn't know what they were doing and set this second phone up using the same apple id but onto a laptop. How do I know get the second phone to work from the computer and sync the two phones so they are the same?

"Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.

There are ways. The easiest would be to look at the phone.
Another way would be if Verizon Messages were installed on the phone in question and you could log into the MyVerizon account for the line in question to view SMS/MMS messages to/from that phone. Of course any messages sent via iMessage would not show up in Verizon Messages as they are not SMS/MMS messages. For those, you could possibly log into the Apple ID account on another Apple device to view those, but then SMS/MMS messages would not show up there.
This is why I prefer to disable iMessage on my iPhone so that I don't have to look in multiple locations to read my messages. I prefer to have all my messages sent/received via the same messaging platform so that I don't have to look in multiple places to view/manage them.
