Message on screen says "contact service" when i sw...
i have an old nokia 7250i that i havent used for years, i wanted to get some data off it and put in the sim card to make it switch on, it worked for about an hour or so then i took the battery out to use in another phone. when i put it back in this message came up and it was a black screen, with a small white box in the centre and written in red in this box was "contact service", i dont care about the phone i just want the photos from i can it be saved??!
"Contact Service" is a fatal boot error of the handset.
The phone has completely crashed and I am sorry to tell you that what ever was stored on the handset are gone forever.

Same exact problem with my Apple TV. Worked like a charm the first two times we used it. Haven't used it in about a month, now no Apple logo when I turn it on, or the logo appears momentarily and distorted, and then an error message from my Samsung HD TV: Mode Not Supported.

Hi,
I am getting a warning message on screen, saying that myiPad hasn't been backed up to iCloud for two weeks, and advising under what circumstances the message appears. My problem is, is that I have backed it up, but am unable to remove the message, and whilst the message is there, the iPad is frozen, and I cannot do anything.
Has any other user had such a problem, and if so, how did they rectify it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up -
I am now unable to print pdf documents. The message on screen says I have not selected any pages to print, even though the bullet point saying 'All' pages has been clicked. I have recently upgraded to adobe reader XI, could that be the problem? I also cannot sign in to Adobe Export pdf now either. It says 'error occured while signing in'!
Open Adobe Reader | Edit | Preferences | Documents: change View Documents in PDF/A Mode to Never.

Hello! I want to sell my iphone 3g because i have 3gs- i cleared the info in settings and now have black screen saying no service and usb port pointing to itunes - is that all i do ? i am pretty ignorant of computers- lol- i had read that i need to plug it back into itunes to verify it has all cleared out- i want to sell it on craigs list or ebay- i am really hurting for money right now- all your answers appreciated...
It needs to be restored by someone. You can do it, and set it up as a new phone, or the buyer can do it.

Brand new iPhone 5c upgrade says 'no service' when nano sim is inserted.

My brother's HTC contract ran out so he got an iPhone 5C last night. He didn't change networks or change his number and the salesman said that the new sim card he gave him would be ready to go when he put it in the phone with the same number etc. When he got it home he put the nano sim into the new phone but it just says 'no service' at the top left of the screen. Has anyone else encountered this?
He's tried restarting the phone and enabling/disabling aeroplane mode as other forums suggested.the salesman said that the new sim card he gave him would be ready to go when he put it in the phone with the same number etc.
I would suggest that just didn't happen call the Carrier customer support and find out the issue -
4s Keep saying "No Service" when out of state
On a recent trip to Houston from Florida, my phone kept giving me "No Service" when I got off the plane.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you have no service on the iPhone. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There is one step you did not mention trying that i think is worth trying.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.

Why does my new 3gs phone say no service when it was working earlier
Why does my newly purchased Iphone 3GS say no service - it was working earlier today. I can do nothin on it - can't make calls or receive them !!
AT&T is my carrier, in RI, can't text, can't call, go onto Safari, get emails? Happens once in a while for a few minutes. Today it wouldn't work at all. I am home now and have wireless and it won't pick up that signal either.
I don't know about SIMor where it is located. I was a blackberry girl for years. This phone is only a few weeks old, bought at Apple Store in Providence RI, they didn't tell me about SIM. It has worked fine till today.

My wife's iPad, on returning from holiday has an onscreen message saying that it is two weeks since last backup. Backup happens when this iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi. When she presses the ok button nothing happens and it is impossible to go to settings or any other onscreen app. Switching off makes no difference and we have no idea what to do! Any ideas?

Thanks for your quick reply but although it did not solve my problem, I found that other functions were not working this morning and after a good deal of head scratching I found out that it was the remote Microsoft keyboard attached to my laptop which was causing all problems! It was only a few months old but I have now bought another but Advent this time and all is back to normal. Thanks once again. Conway Hall -
