Message Que Monitoring in ECC

Dear All Gurus,
I need your expert advice on this...
We have PROXY to JDBC (asynchronous - scheduled job running) and WSDL (PROXY) synchronous scenario running at our client org.
IF im not mistaken for  Que Monitoring I need to login to ECC - R/3 (not PI) server and use ex : SMQ2 for this...
Is there any way to do message monitoring without loging to ECC for SMQ2 monitoring..
Our client has tight policy on ECC - R/3 - production system user license since it is a limited...

Hi Tharu - You won't be able to monitor the queues without logging in but what you can do is setup alerts for any failures.
May be you can make of QRFC API something like explained in the below blog..

  • Can not see messages in SXMB_MONI of ECC

    Hi Friends,
Here I am facing some problem with SXMB_MONI of ECC. I am doing an XI upgrade from XI3.0 to PI 7.1.
when I am doing my interface upgrade I am unable to see messages in SXMB_MONI of ECC. As ECC is also got upgraded  now BASIS is very confused about configuration.
when I went through some blogs I came across some suggestions like configuration in SXMB_ADM. In ECC the integration engine configuration what I did is
Role of Business System         : Application System.
                   Corresponding Integ. Server    : dest://<HTTP DEST>
One of my doubts:: Is <HTTP DEST> is the one which we are giving in XI/PI or the new one created for ECC. First BASIS set up  <HTTP DEST> as the same one which was configured in PI. Then I went back to BASIS and tell them that ECC is having its own local Integration Engine, so we need to create <HTTP DEST> which connects to integration engine of ECC.
Then they created one <HTTP DEST>  for ECC. but when I am doing connection test, Http response is coming as  400 BAD HTTP Response :: protocol error. I have no idea why it is behaving like that.
After when I go through some more blogs they are dealing with RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI. when I check it in ECC I didn't found RFC destination LCRSAPRFC but SAPSLDAPI is existing in ECC.
more over some blogs deal with the configuration in Transaction SLDAPICUST. when I check it in ECC no configuration was done in SLDAPICUST.
I already configured ENGINE_TYPE, IS_URL, LOGGING, LOGGING_PROPAGATION, LOGGING_SYNC under specific configuration data of SXMB_ADM of ECC.
Please let me know what needs to be done and let me out of this confusion. As I am a PI developer I am unaware of all these configurations. expecting replies from gurus....

    Hi Friends,
Looking at some more blogs I got a doubt.
Actually my scenario is File - XI - RFC.
Now my doubt is whether we can see the messages which were going to ECC by RFC adapter ?
Looking at a thread  I got confused whether SXMB_MONI can capture messages only if they are coming from Proxy or IDOC . please clarify me.

  • How to pass self-defined message to Monitor

    Hi all,
i am asked to define several Exception situations and pass the message to monitor if any of the exception situation occurs. Can anyone give me a sample code?
This is what I wrote, but it didnt work... please help! Thanks!
    Message Z***** (message ID)
              001  : *****. (message number and text)
              002  : *****
              003  : *****
              004  : *****
              005  : *****.

    Hi Linda..
    Use like this:
Either declare the Message id at the top of the report:
    REPORT zxxxxx
    MESSAGE-ID <msg id name>.
Else, you can use the message id in the message too..
    MESSAGE <message type> <message no> (<message id>) WITH text.
Where, message type can be E, I, W or S.
For ex. MESSAGE E999(ZZ) WITH 'Incorrect entry'.
    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Dear all,
i am getting the following error for shop with limit order.
User has created A SWL PO with all identical data like vendor, Pur org, product category and only description change for 2 lines. Its showing only one PO which is in 'Error in Process' .
How can a cart with two lines convert into a 2 line PO ?? as per standard SRM it should create 2 different PO.
Noted that Error message in monitors reads 'Sum of %>200.0<exceeds 100%' in RZ20.

  • Monitoring of inbound and outbound messages for business system ECC 6.0

    Hi Guys,
I am working on ABAP proxy. I want to monitor the flow of Inbound and Outbound messages for my Business system (ECC 6.0).
XI server is on a different system.
I understand that SXMB_MONI is used for tracking XML messages. What kind of tracking can we do by this transaction in our Business system and the XI system?
And how do I know whether the outbound XML message sent is lying in the Sending Business system or in the XI system?
When I am testing my interface, there is a fault message generated. How do I know whether the fault message is being sent to XI?
    Thanks,
    James.

    James,
Go to SXMB_MONI in your sending system.
Here you will find a message ID fro your Message.
Go to XI, --> SXMB_MONI -->Monitor For Processed XML messages --> Advanced Selection Crieteria and use the Message ID here to see if the Message has hit XI or not.
Likeiwse it can be traced in the target system as well.
The basic point,  The messages will have same Message Id on your R3 and on XI.
    Regards
    Bhavesh

  • Messages strucking in Receiver ECC

    Hi,
I have a scenario i.e. non-SAP to PI to SAP ECC. In that, in PI we are getting Successful flags on every monitoring, but data is not inserting in ECC tables, due to Queues strucked in ECC (smq2) and we can see those messages with status scheduled in SXMB_MONI tcode in ECC system. Means messages are strucked in Queue. Some times In production environment it is giving very critical issue. Here I have a doubt. Between PI and ECC only one Queue is available or multiple?  If one message struked in Queue remaining all the messages also be strucking. If only one queue is avail between PI and ECC, Is there any other way to increase number of Queues to overcome this problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srihari.

    Hi Srihari ,
Every R/3 system will have the concept of queue.
If the messages are passed successfully from PI and are stuck up in ECC means there might be some data issue with the first failed message in queue. you can save that message using save LUW and then thus releasing rest of messages from queue.
even if you increase number of queues on ECC , queue stuck still can be a issue. Only way is to remove problamatic message from queue and clear the queue. lateron you can investigate on error message .

  • Out of range message on monitor screen

Have a Mac Mini desktop.  On startup of computer, monitor, everything is normal.   When monitor goes to sleep,  and I wake it up with the mouse, I get an "out of range" message on the screen.  My monitor's resolution specs call for a 1280 x 1024 resolution with 60 Hz.  I have set that as the required resolution, but it still displays the message on a black screen.  I have tried not shutting the monitor off completely and turning it back on, as well as letting it go to sleep after 7 minutes.  Nothing stops the message from displaying.
Could my video graphics be going bad?   Had some power surges 2 weeks ago with the energy company, and wonder if those surges could have affected my Mac somehow?
    Anyone with a suggestion?

    Hello,
See if it's related to this...
The 2012 macs (and later apparently) not waking normally from sleep after hours being in sleep. (noted here ...

  • How to post own message to monitor RSMON from transfer rules

I'd like to post descriptions for errorneous (for business process, not for R/3) data which drop package by setting ABORT <> 0 or RETURNCODE <> 0.
How can i do this in start routine for transfer rules and in transfer rules themselves?
I tryed RSSM_MON_WRITE_MONITOR_IC and RSAL_LOG_WRITE. But really this messages don't appear in monitor. The most i achive is to show message during "sumulate transfer" using RSSM_MON_WRITE_MONITOR_IC.
And another thing, that I don't want to create my own message class and messages, Just to post text as error. Is that possible?

    Hi,
    I had given wrong answer.
Appending lines to MONITOR is only poosible when we want to create logs for wrong data at the time of Update Rules.
Here You will create a routine for an info object. And then you check some condition .If it is not satisfying you will add lines to MONITOR. Here you donot require to declare it. It is already declared in Program RS_ROUTINE.This program will be included for each routine of upadte rule.
In the similar mannner, you will add lines to G_T_ERRORLOG , in transfer routine,if want to give error message at the time of transfer rule. Here you donot require to declare it. It is already declared in Program RS_ROUTINE.This program will be included for each routine of Transfer rule.

  • User defined message search criteria on ECC

    Hi Experts,
I have configured UDMS-user defined message search under ECC (for message search in MONI) using T-code: SXMS_LMS_CONF and while defining extractors, I have selected both check boxes.
    1. Extract during message processing
    2. Extract with external Job
As per my knowledge, 1st option indexes all messages which are processed after we activate filters.
2nd option is used to index previous messages which are processed before defining filter.
For me 2nd option is working fine (I can search old messages which are indexed using a program:  SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES).
But 1st option is not working. I have created filters yesterday and activated also, but couldn't able to trace today messages using user defined search.
    Please help in this regard.
    SP.

    Hi.
    From SAP Note.  1600078
    Solution
Most problems occur because you use the communication components or partners as the filter criteria in the filter even though you want the system to index only certain interfaces. In this situation, you must always set the components or partners to "*".
If you specify components or partners, you must consider how indexing of messages runs technically. If indexing is called at runtime, the system executes it at the start of the Integration Engine and at the end of the Integration Engine; this means that the value that the components or partners have at this point is definitive. For example, if you have defined a receiving component, this is not set at the start of the Integration Engine (except in special cases) and this is why the filter does not select the message. It also has no effect at the end because the message contains the receiving interface after the mapping. If you call the test function of transaction SXMS_LMS_CONF, the filter is used on each individual persistent version of the message (the same process as when indexing via a job). If the message is made persistent directly before the mapping, the sender interface exists there and the receiving component or partner is set. Therefore, the filter described above would be active here. As a result, this function is better defined to check the XPath than the filter criteria.
Check if you put  * in the receiver component.

    Lucho.

  • "no signal" message on monitor

A friend gave me her lenovo 3000 h series desktop.  I am attempting to set it up.  I have hooked up all of the wires that I know of.  (we took it apart and I brought it home and am now attempting to connect it).  The monitor when turned on displays "no signal" and nothing else.    Any thoughts?

    Hey dkcowles,
The monitor, is it using a ..
    1. VGA input - http://www.firebird-systems.com/graphics/tuners/cmt345_files/dual_vga_cable.jpg
    or
    2. DVI input - http://www.serialdigital.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/dvi_connector.jpg
Depending on the back of the computer, its either a DVI or a VGA type.
if your monitor is VGA and the computer is DVI.. you will need a converter. and if you are using a converter and you get that error of "no signal" .. try changing the converter.
or you could test the monitor on a different computer

  • Too many messages in monitoring

    My scenario is
    FileSender -> BPM -> FileRecever && JDBCRecever
In Integration Engine monitoring I see 9 rows for 1 message!
    1. FileSender -> BPM
    2. FileSender -> BPM
    3. BPM (Branched)
    4. BPM -> FileRecever
    5. BPM -> JDBCRecever
    6. BPM -> FileSender (Acknowledgment)
    7. FileRecever (no receiver)
    8. JDBCRecever (no receiver)
    9. FileRecever (no receiver)
Could you explain why are there 2 senders ( rows 1,2)
    2 senders (rows 7,9) ?
Could you explain the existence of rows 7,8,9 without recever ?

    > You are using fork step rite???
I am not using fork. It is a simple BPM with only receiver and send step.
    > As i understand your scenario is sending the same message to a file and database
Yes. I understand a branching. But Why are there 2 pair of senders(1,2 and 7,9) ?

So, the step 10 is "10. Refer to the following ABAP code snippet for executing the STFC_CONNECTION programmatically
