in setting up new apple tv, message says "apple tv cannot sign in to Itunes until network time has been set - please try again later.........is this an easy fix?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router.
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

    I corrected my time zone and it let me login correctly (on my phone)! BUT, my app world button on my playbook still isn't working I tried to find a way to delete the app on the playbook but I dunno where to do that.

    If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
    1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
    copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
    defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
    2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

    I am having the same problem. It started on August 11, 2014.  I get the "Your request has failed. Please try again later." message when logging into the Verizon Messaging web application.
    Here is what I did to troubleshoot it:
    I verified that I can log into the MyVerizon account successfully.
    Verified that the feature was set up correctly.
    Cleared cache and history on my browser.
    Tried two different browsers - same result.
    Tried a different computer - same result.
    Tried from a mobile device - same result.
    It is definitely on the Verizon end.  I called their tech support and of course, got no results as usual.
    Verizon creates and promotes all these features, you get dependent on using them, and they stop working.  Then, of course Verizon can't resolve the issue.  I'm shopping around when my contracts are up.  For the premium price we pay for Verizon I would expect better stability and support in their service.

    So Migrating to a new Macbook pro (retina) has cause a few bugs.
    I have the same version of Iphoto running on both my old MBP and new REtina MBP. The difference is that the Retina MBP is running mountain lion and the old MBP runs Snow Leopard.
    The Snow Leopard Iphoto app can login to Facebook without a prob
    The Moutain Lion Iphoto app give the: "Cannot login to Facebook: An Unknown error has occured. PLease try again later"
    Iphoto app is allowed on Facebook.
    Since Iphoto was the same on both macs: I copied over the entire library from the old computer to the new one.
    The library loads up fine in the new MBP.
    I tried deleting the Facebook account and re-adding it on Iphoto. It still gives the same error.
    Can anyone help.?

    I have the same issue, but its happened in the last week or so on my older MBP with Snow Leopard - I know its authorised on FB and my password is correct! Just thought I'd share as it may not be a ML issue alone.

    I have got the same problem. I am  using windows 8.1, latest version of iTunes, Symantec NIS.  My internet connection is working.

  • Apple TV3 setup reports that: "iTunes login failed - cannot sign-in until Network date and time has been set".

    During Apple TV setup, I have not been able to complete the Home Sharing process. Computer/iTunes Home Sharing is setup, but ATV "blocks" its Home Sharing setup. After my Apple ID and password is entered, ATV reports a failure. Also, attempts to login to iTunes from ATV, ATV reports: "iTunes login failed - cannot sign-in until Network date and time has been set". It directs me to the Network tab, but there's no option to set date and time. I have no clue how to do that.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    There are things to look out for to make sure your Apple TV can reach the network time server, such as ensuring port 123 is open and only using the DNS address provided by your ISP, but since it was OK one moment and not the next, my guess is these settings are already correct.
    As for the restart, did you try restarting by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.

    During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.
