Message says tc disc needs repair, do I need to return to apple ?

My tc has stopped working and is giving the message "disc needs repair" do I need to send back to apple

You can attempt to erase the disk.. but if that doesn't work, it should be replaced..
I would be inclined to replace anyway.. no disk that breaks down is going to be reliable.. they are the cheapest WD green apple can buy.

Go to Apple and look for the Java for OSX 2014-001 link. Download from there and install it.

The data is still there - every so often when I switch it on, it comes up with the main icon screen, rather than the emegency calls only screen (which it does most of the time), and I can get to my contacts, photos, and so on, but it won't connect to any mobile/cell network provider, including my network here in the UK - O2.

Empty the Trash.
Copy files off the main hard drive onto another drive, or burn them to an optical disc if your computer can do that.

When I burn a DVD why do I get a message saying the disc is unsupported?

I recently burned a Memorex DVD+R on my Mac Mini. But when I try to play it on my computer that burned it it won't play? Says unsupported disc. My friend sent me DVD's she burned on the same brand DVD's and they play on my computer and TV DVD player? This DVD I burned does play on my TV dvd player. I've also had the opposite problems when dvd's I burned playe on my computer but not on the tv dvd player.

Slower speed may help, but check System Preferences>CDs & DVDs to what happens when you insert a blank & set it to Disc Utility.

I just downloaded the lastest version of iTunes but when it comes up it has a error message saying to reinstall or repair it and I did that and it did not work

I followed iTunes instructions after receving the first error message which said

Second re-installed by downloading from Tools as download only
Why are there no responses to these queries?

I just got an iPhone 4 and have been downloading apps from the iTunes store when I encountered difficulty with two specific apps. Each time I try to download dictionary and star walk I get a message saying they are over 50MB and I need to be connected to iTunes to download, which I've tried to no avail. Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.
