Message Text in a Message Class is missing in Production System

Hi,
I am facing a peculiar error, in Message Class, the messages which I created was missing all of sudden in Prod system which was present earlier.
The same messages are available in Dev and QA system.
Even I checked all the transports whether I have deleted unknowingly and moved to Prod, but I didn't.
Whether Is it possible to delete the messages in Prod system directly and Is there any way to find how the messages got missed in Prod system. Kindly share your valuable inputs.
Regards,
Karthikeyan.

Hi Karthikeyan,
If the SAP systems are upgraded recently this case may occur. Sometimes during the enhancement patch upgrade some objects get vanishes from systems.
So you can take help of the BASIS team, Inform them this object was present earlier.
They will take a look and will resolve it.
Cheers,
Pravin

    Hi Seshu
    Please go to T-code AO90 and assign an accumulated depreciation account .
    To find the correct place , check your asset class and check which account determination you have in it.
    Once you know your account determination go to T-code AO90
    enter chart of depreciation
    double click on account determination on left hand side of screen
    click on correct account determination on right hand side
    double click on depreciation a/c on left hand side
    and enter your g/l for Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation
    hope this should solve your problem

  • How to show a field value and a message text in a message box

    Hi
    I have made a message box that shows the value of a text field when a button is clicked. I would like to add some message text to the message box as well, so that my message box will show something like:
    You have entered this data: "textField value"
    This script works to show the text field value but I cannot figure out how to combine it with an ordinary message box text message. I have tried various combinations of () and “ “ but no luck.
    if
    (TextField1.rawValue != null){
    xfa.host.messageBox(TextField1.rawValue
    , "Message box title");}
    Kirstine

    you can use below code:xfa.host.messageBox("Word  you want to add in start "+TextField1.rawValue
    +" Word you want to add in the end","Message Box Title")

  • OM -  Relationship HRP1001 missing in production system.

    Hi All,
    I have a production issue.
    Officer has a A-YES(custom) relationship created already.we are able to see record in database table HRP1001.
    However, we are unable to view it under PO10 in Production.
    What could be the reason?any guesses?
    Can anyone give me suggestion where to check..
    Thanks..

    As far i understand you have defined a custom relationship and maintained it but what relationship it is , what about allowed relationships i.e between which objects relationship is allowed If you are created relationship between O-X then use PO10 and you have to check them under 1001, S-X then PO13 under 1001,C-X then PO03 etc.

    CL - Message Class
    NUMBER - Message No
    PAR1 - Message Place Holder1, if any exists
    PAR2 - Message Place Holder2, if any exists

    Two questions
    1. I noticed on the you tube videos about the new ipad that the main icons are more than mine (i.e. the icon of facebook and a number or others are missing)
    2. I would like to ask you to do me a favour, thanks for your patiene. Still I have not understood how (in which way, the pictures, transfered from my system or new taken by the ipad camera are uploaded directly to the FaceBook. I suppose that I will not have the same difficulties regarding the videos to both Facebook AND YoutTube. Some of the apps shown in adverts / videos have been downloaded from the App Store, they don't come pre-installed e.g. the Facebook app is a free download the app store : 'official' Facebook app.
    To upload photos to Facebook you can use the above app - you can't, for example, use Safari on the iPad to upload content to sites.
    Not sure whether any apps allow you to upload videos to YouTube (I don't use the site).

  • Message text in sequence diagrams not displaying in editor

    I split a large sequence diagram into smaller parts so that the parts could be included as graphics in a user manual.
    Here is how I split the diagram:
    1) Create the single large diagram. Name the diagram "SD".
    2) This diagram produces an SD_etlp and an SD_etld file.
    2) Copy these two files to different names. Eg SD_etlp_01 and SD_etld_01.
    2) Delete 10 messages from the bottom of the original diagram. Save.
    3) Copy the two files to SD_etlp_02 and SD_etld_02.
    And so on.
    So the diagram editor only sees the original file name. But this file is actually getting smaller and smaller. I can re-edit any of the saved files by changing their name back to the original file name as seen by the diagram editor.
    I produced about 10 smaller sequence diagrams without problem.
    On the latest sequence diagram in the editor, I lost all the message text. Everything else was fine. (I think I shortened the lifelines too much so they encroached on the actual messages. Note that I do not shorten lifelines in the editor, because these changes are not persistent. I edit the lifeline heights in the ETLP file.)
    Losing the message text should not have been a problem. Because I thought that all I had to do was return to one of the earlier diagrams and start again.
    However, on returning to all the previous saved diagrams, all the message text had disappeared from those diagrams as well. (I had already printed out those diagrams, so I haven't lost everything.)
    When I open the ETLD files, I can see all the missing message text for each diagram, for example:
    <name value="public void addNode( String Unnamed, String Unnamed )"/>
    Can anyone tell me how to show these messages on the diagrams?

    When I select "Show Message Numbers" , all text is displayed as "1:"
    If I right-click on an individual message, "Show Message Name" is not checked. If I check it, it says "Unnamed".
    I may have introduced a corruption as follows:
    1) One message text disappeared. This may have been due to the excessive amount of manual dragging on large diagrams (see later).
    2) I right-clicked on the message. Select "Show Message Name".
    3) The text "Unnamed" was displayed.
    ( I now know that "Unnamed" will be displayed for any message, even when message text is displayed :)
    4) I typed "public void logout( )"
    5) This produced the correct text on the diagram.
    Some effects of this were:
    1) In the model, a message was added to the contents of "Messages", named "public void logout()". All the other messages are simply called "Message".
    2) There is an entry in ".QueryCache" file:
    nodeType_="Message" name="public void logout( )" id="DCE.14D184C9-7052-ECFE-D9E9-48CB83B1E357" fullName="public void logout( )"/><Name nodeType_="Lifeline" name="self" id="DCE.37BD6533-F0C0-FDF8-7391-521338CD4F86"
    This is the only cache file entry that relates to messages.
    If I can roll back the changes made by typing "public void logout( )", would that cure the problem?
    1) As well as noticing that the message text is still in the ETLD file, I also see that, for each message:
    <visible value="true"/>
    I have been backing up matched pairs of ETLP and ETLD files which earlier produced good diagrams. If these files later produce a diagram in which the message text is missing, then there must be at least one other file that has been corrupted. Does anyone know what other files I should back up to produce a self-consistent set of files that can be used for recovery?
    By the way, here is the reason that I am spending so much time trying to recover message text rather than simply regenerating the model. The diagram has 250 messages. The horizontal spacing between some objects is equal to 20 times the width of one object. This means that I have a lot of dragging to do. Each manual action increases the risk that some error will be made (and usually is). Even at 5% zoom, the diagram is several screens wide, so messages can be disappearing off-screen without my knowledge. Simply closing up the objects takes two days work, because there are several combined fragments boxes which must be handled very delicately, or message text disappears.

  • Passing message text from external RFC server into SAP EXCEPTION parameter

    In function module CREDIT_CARD_SETTLEMENT the following DYNAMIC function module call exists:
    ------ Send items for settlement to a RFC function -------------------
        CALL FUNCTION l_fnset
             DESTINATION l_rfcset
             EXPORTING   i_ccseth                = i_ccseth
             TABLES      t_settab                = t_settab
                         t_setexd_h              = t_setexd_h
                         t_setexd_i              = t_setexd_i
             EXCEPTIONS  system_failure          = 01 MESSAGE rfc_msg_text
                         communication_failure   = 02 MESSAGE rfc_msg_text
                         call_function_not_found = 03.
    This is the code which calls an external credit card application server.  I'm trying to figure out how, on the server side, I can return a message into the rfc_msg_text variable on the system_failure or communication_failure EXCEPTIONS.
    I’ve found several examples of this construct in ABAP code in the SAP side – but I can’t for the life of me find anything that shows how to set this up in our external server.
    There are several SAP function modules like RFC_PING that have similar constructs – but I can’t see the compiled C code to tell what command to use to fill in that text.  I can raise the exception, just not fill in the text.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Eric,
    I do not quite understand the problem.
    Is there an external NON-SAP system, that needs to do the call?
    Within any external SAP system (inside the RFC Function Module) you can raise exceptions in the following manner:
    MESSAGE e398(00) WITH par1 par2 par3 par4 RAISING exception_1.
    Message 398 in class 00 contains only & & & & as text.
    Each & is replaced by par1 through par4.
    Suppose par1='Order' par2='1234' par3='invalid' par4=''.
    Then a message would be build like: Order 1234 invalid.
    This all would reside in the remote called function module.
    When you call this module and after any exception in the call the addition MESSAGE rfc_msg_txt was put, then the variable rfc_msg_txt='Order 1234 invalid'.
    But as already stated before, i'm not quite sure what the problem is. Shed some light to it.
    Greetz,
    Rob.

  • Message text available in java using RFC function module

    Hello,
    I wrote a function module with the ABAP statement
    MESSAGE .... RAISING PARAMETER_ERROR
    The java developer gets the PARAMETER_ERROR but no
    message text.
    Is the any way (e.g. exception class) to get the message text also.
    Thanks

    hi Michael,
    In the RFC function module use the table RETURN of type BAPIRET2 and instead of raising the error append the error in RETURN. later in your java code you can read this table RETURN and retrieve the error along with the error text.
    Hope this helps.

    Hello experts,
    I have a scenario wherein I need to display a warning status message at the bottom of the screen. When the user clicks on that message, the long text of the message should contain certain extra information.

    Entry 1 is invalid.
    Entry 2 is invalid.

  • SRM 7 EHP3, change text in popup message (create confirmation)

    Hi everyone
    I have a requirement where we need to adapt some text within a popup message. This popup message appears after hitting "confirm" button in the "create confirmation" app.
    After some researches we found that this text is stored in a text element (text symbols) of class /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_IDEN_MAP_CONF
    What is the best approach to adapt this text without doing a modification?
    Thanks anyone.
    Renaud

    Hi Laurent
    Thanks for your suggestion! But AFAIK this approach does not protect our translations (text changes) from being re-overwritten during system upgrades (see note 485741) and furthermore it would be treated as a modification (appears in SE95 - modification browser).
    Isn't there a truly modification free method?
    I also tried to enhance class /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_IDEN_MAP_CONF but I'm not sure how / what to implement in my Z-enhancement now to have it "overwrite" SAP's original text symbol n° 043.
    Any ideas?
    Best regards,

  • [iPhone SDK] Why can't I message UI elements or other classes?

    Hi there,
    I confess to being a bit of a new hand at Cocoa -- I've been working through Aaron Hillegass's excellent book on the subject. Still, I haven't had any trouble like what I'm about to describe.
    Everything was going swimmingly until I switched from noodling in desktop development over to Cocoa Touch. Here is an example application project using Apple's view-based app template to illustrate:
    http://danilocampos.com/development/WTFXcode.zip (1.3 MB)
    An IBOutlet, UILabel *label, is declared in the app delegate header. In the app delegate's implementation, several lines are dedicated to logging statements showing that applicationDidFinishLaunching was called and detailing my attempt to send messages to label. Sending setText to label fails, as does sending text to query its data. An NSAssert is called to compare the label's contents to the value it was sent. Assertion fails and app closes. Obviously, even if I comment out my assertion the app still isn't doing what it should. Everything compiles fine and the compiler doesn't log any warnings.
    The ViewController nib has a UICustomObject for the app delegate. From there, the app delegate is wired to the UILabel.
    Where am I going wrong here? Did Garbage Collection on the desktop environment spoil me and I'm forgetting to allocate something?
    Also: It's not included in the example I uploaded, but I'm having the same trouble with sending messages to other NSObject sub-classes I make, even if I properly instantiate them and set them up as properties like in Apple's app templates. If anyone has a thought about that issue, I'd love to hear it too.
    Thanks!

    I could be wrong on this, but I don't think you should have a reference to the AppDelegate in your NIB file. Get rid of that, and the IBOutlet definition in your AppDelegate.h.
    In your viewController is where you should define the IBOutlet, and then wire it to the File's Owner instead of the AppDelegate.
    You can still have a label stored in the app delegate, but you'd have to instantiate it using code, and then call an accessor in your view controller to get the pointer.
    AppDelegate
    -- .h --
    @interface WTFXcodeAppDelegate : NSObject <UIApplicationDelegate> {
    UIWindow *window;
    WTFXcodeViewController *viewController;
    UILabel *label;

    [window addSubview:viewController.view];
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    label = [[UILabel alloc] init];
    NSLog(@"applicationDidFinishLaunching: %@", application);
    NSString *theString = @"Update, **** you!";
    NSLog(@"The string: %@",theString);
    [label setText:theString];
    NSString *labelText = [label text];
    NSLog(@"Trying to message the label and ask for its text value: %@", labelText);
    NSAssert(labelText == theString, @"The label text should match theString");
    - (void)dealloc {
    [label release];
    // Rest of the releases
    WTFViewController
    -- .h --
    @interface WTFXcodeViewController : UIViewController {
    IBOutlet UILabel *label;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *label;
