Message to logon to a specific group of users

Good morning, I wanted to know how to make a message appear shortly after logon to windows .
The message should occur only to a specific group of users. The server that manages access (active directory) is windows server 2008 r2 .
I've ' road tested the group policies (whether creating a new one by editing the default domain ) but I do not see the message even after the update is forced on the client and the server.
If you succeed through the last method specified well, if you know another better still ; whatever if it works please show me . We talk about 1300 users with about 500 machines . Sorry for my bad english, but I had to use Google Translate.Thank you in advance. Alessandro

Ciao Alessandro,

    Hello,
I have a blank site in SharePoint 2013 in which i activated `CommunityFeature` and i created a discussion board app which is displayed in a web part.
Now, i want to be able to change the discussion visibility ... E.g. when i click on new discussion i want to have a people picker that allows me to choose people or groups that are allowed to see and reply for that discussion...
How can this be made? can anyone help me please?

    Hi,
The OOTB feature “Audience Targeting” on list item will be capable of your requirement.
“List or library items can be targeted to appear only to people who are members of a particular group or audience”.
    More information about
    Audience Targeting:

  • Granting item permissions to specific group or users via workflow- sharepoint online

I want to create a Document Set and upon doing that i want to grants users/ groups item level permissions to the document set.
Can this be done via workflow?
    What are my options?

If workflow starts on document set, you will change permission on the document set: if the files inherit permission from document set, all children files will have the same document set permission.
the document set is nothing more than a souped-up folder

  • Share only specific groups with users over cardDAV?

    OS X Server 3.2.2
I've successfully set up the Contacts server, but it appears that cardDAV syncing is an all-or-nothing prospect.  There appears to be no way to sync only select groups of contacts with select users or groups.  Instead, it appears you must sync every contact, and group of contacts, with any user who has access.
Is this really the case, or have I missed something obvious?

    Hi,
I have the same issue on OSX Maverikcs (10.9.5) using the Contacts App Version 8.0 (1371.2).
All contact groups are shown as one single group and I do not see a possibility to select one single or a selection of groups to synchronize.
On the other hand, both my Smartphone and the web-interface of my ISP allow a seamless synchronization and visualization of the different groups in CardDav.
So I'd assume that this is an issue of the OSX Contats App.
    Is this a known issue?
Are there any fixes for this?
    Thanks,
    Fab

  • Automounts for specific groups

    Hi,
I set up automounts via AFP on a 10.3.9 server, they work fine on Panther and Tiger clients. Now I want to assign the automounts to specific groups of users (or computers, as my users don't switch machines). Right now the automounts appear on every client on the subnet but I want Group A to get share A and NOT share B which is only for Group B and so on.
At the moment all users have local home directories, no OD etc in use. DNS and OD master are set up and run fine.
Is there a way to accomplish this task?
I am thankful for every hint.

  • How To Disable DLU Policy For A Group Of Users

We are running Zenworks 7.x on Novell netware 6.5 sp8. I have my User package existing within the Context where the user accounts exist. Also the User Package is associated to that user Context. I have a need to deny a specific group of users access to the DLU Policy of the User Package. However I will need the users to have access to all other Policy packages withing the same User Package (ie, iprint policy, remote control policy, etc).
Is it possible to deny a group of users access to the DLU policy but not the other Policies within the Associated user package?

Take a copy of your existing User package, disable DLU in this new package and assign it to these specific users that you don't want DLU to apply.

  • Allow specific group/user to logon the spectic/group of computer

    Hello All,
need suggestion, allow specific user/group of user to permit logon the specific/group of computers.

    Hi Parvez lslam,
According to your description, you would like to allowspecific user/group of user to the specific/group of computers. Right?
You can enable the following policy to determines which users can interactively log on to this computer:
Computer Configuration > Policies > Window Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment:
    Allow log on locally
For your information, please refer to the following article to learn more about this policy:Allow log on locally
You can enable the following policy to determines which users can not interactively log on to this computer:
Computer Configuration > Policies > Window Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment:
    Deny log on locally
This security setting determines wgucg users are prevent from logging on at the computer. This policy setting supersedes the Allow log on locally policy setting if an account is subject to both policy. For your information,
    Deny log on locally.
You can configure the users or group who are restricted to logon depending on your requirements. In addition, please pay attention to the scope of the policy. If you only to apply this setting to a specifis computer, you can configure this GPO to this computer
or configure this computer's local group policy.

    Hi Hemendra,
Thanks for your reply. Actually i am trying to do two things here. First i am creating sub-folders using following code. And then trying to assign individual group permission on these sub-folders using following Powershell script. Now problem is when i am
creating sub-folders, its also inheriting all the parent permission. Lets say i have customer folder name "Pepsi" and it has 4 sub-folders (like Account Management, Legal Drafts, Executed.. etc) . Now i want to assign individual group permission to each Sub-folder
but root folder (Pepsi) should remain all the parent permissions. i did try to remove the permission first and then assigned permission to sub-folders. i was able to assign individual group permission to sub-folders but problem is, its also assigning Limited
Access to the root folder. so basically i cannot see the folder as the root folder has limited access. Please let me know how can achieve that.

  • Curve 8330 won't receive a specific group email.

This is the oddest thing. I have many 8330’s that don’t have this problem but one of them will not receive messages that are in group form.
When we sent out messages to any other group of emails he will get them, but when we send a specific group email, ALL blackberries in the group will receive the email both in their Outlook inbox (We have BES and MES) but he will not receive the email on his 8330.
I’ve wiped the berry and it still does the same thing.
Any one have this happen in the past, and if so, how did you fix it?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hey ZoeKool,
    Welcome to the forums!
If you have wiped the device then it does not appear to be an issue with the device it self. Which email is this message going to? Is the address that is connected to the BlackBerry included in the group? Does the user have any filters in their Outlook that would move the message to another folder other than the inbox?

  • Adding email addresses to SPECIFIC groups in Address book

    Hi
I have created a folder in MAIL which receives specific mails. I want to add all these senders to a SPECIFIC group in my address book. The only option I see will add all these senders to my general address book and that's no good since I want to be able to contact this specific group only.
Is that possible and how ?
    Thanks

There is a collection of AppleScripts called Mail Scripts you can download at this link.
    http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Mail_Scripts.html
The script you want to use from the collection of included scripts is Add Addresses (Mail) which adds addresses found in the selected messages (in the header fields "From", "To", "Cc", and "Bcc") to the Address Book. This is much more flexible than the "Add Sender to Address Book" available in Mail and provides a convenient way for creating mailing lists.
    * Select all messages you want to use for creating the mailing list (for creating a mailing list, you would choose all messages in a mailbox which contains all messages on a certain topic).
    * Run the script and you get a list with all addresses contained in the selected messages - mark all the addresses you want to add to the Address Book using the checkboxes.
    * From the popup menu, choose which group you want to update with the selected addresses or select "Create new Group..." and enter the name for the new group to be created.
    * The script checks whether an address is already present before adding it to the Address Book in order to avoid duplicate entries. If additional information is available for an entry already present in the Address Book (e.g., full name information for an entry which had prior been email-only), the entry will be updated.

  • How to add a contact to a specific group while on the go away from desktop.

I too am frustrated with that. I've come up with a little work around that works for me though so see what you guys think.
I most often run into this right after I have spoken to a prospect about Windsurfing gear and so I immediately want to put them into my Windsurfing gear prospects. I would do this by adding them as a contact and putting windsurf as the company in the contact so that when I got back to my desktop I would do a search for windsurf and add the contacts from that day to the Windsurf group.
Today I discovered, if you go into the specific group, you can click the plus sign at the top right and add a new contact right into that group. Unfortunately you cannot grab their number from recent calls, BUT, you can go to recent calls once you have made this new contact in whatever group you wanted to create it in and click add to existing contact and voila, there ya go.
It could be easier for sure but this works while on the go.
Let me know if it worked for you guys.

  • Why do I not receive iCloud e-mails when there is a specific group of "To:" addresses in the body of an e-mail

I noticed this when I started my iCloud e-mail account a few months ago. I am not receiving iCloud e-mails when there is a specific group of "To:" addresses in the body of an e-mail. I can receive the e-mail on my outlook & local cable providor e-mail accounts with all of the addresses listed. If I strip out the "To:" addresses and send it from my local cable providor e-mail account to my iCloud e-mail account than I will receive the e-mail in my iCloud account (minus all of the "To:" addresses that are in the body of the e-mail. This has caused me to miss a lot of e-mails.
Following is one of the e-mail that I can send from my cable providor account and not receive it in iCloud. If I strip out all of the "To:" addresses I will receive it in iCloud. I have a case open with Apple but it is not going anywhere. This occurs from multiple sending internet service providors (ISP's) so I think it's an Apple iCloud e-mail processing issue.

I've been having a very similar problem to what ziemsen describes, for about a week now. The Mail app has stopped delivering new messages to the Inbox, even though I can view the newly incoming messages on the server via Webmail. I am able to send email through Mail with this email account, and as for the other email accounts that I have on Mail (which are also hosted by the same server), I am able to both receive and send email with no problem.
None of the mail settings have been changed, so how this happened all of a sudden is very puzzling. I have checked Account Info on the problem account - Mail recognizes that there are messages that are on the server yet to be downloaded, but it won't download them.
I've checked what other users have suggested here in the Discussions Forum, and tried: 1) deleting the problem Mail account from Mail and re-adding it; 2) creating a new machine User account and setting up Mail with that User; 3) setting up Mail on another machine; 4) archiving and re-installing OS, and even 5) wiping the HD entirely and reinstalling the OS. None of these have worked.
Ernie, your suggestion of deleting the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded file sounded like the solution to the problem, so I just tried it - but to no avail. Mail delivers messages that are on the server to my Inbox up until the same point that it always stops at, and there are almost 1000 new messages since then.
I am pretty lost at this point - I have no idea what else I can possibly do to resolve this problem. The strange thing is, when I tested my email accounts on Microsoft Entourage and Mozilla Thunderbird, they don't have this problem - both deliver all of my incoming mail. I may have no choice but to switch to one or the other at this point, but I'm attached to Mail and would really like to continue using it if I can. Any advice would be much much appreciated.

  • Mailbox rules: specific sender sent email to specific group

    Hi,
can I apply a rule in either a smart mailbox or a regular mailbox where a specific sender has sent a message to specific email addresses or a specific group? I now do this by setting: "any recipient contains a specific email address".
The reason is because I know this person for other businesses also and I don't want them to be mixed together.
    Thanx.

this problem is driving me crazy too. Have you find a solution for this?

  • How can I share contacts in a specific group

I want to share a specific group of contacts without having to share each of the contacts individually.

    iPad
Yes, her contacts show up on her iPad, but only on her iPad
    iCloud
She has her own iCloud ID but none of the contacts show up on it because they are in a group called 'Hotmail' and it is impossible on her iPad to change their group to 'iCloud'
    Mac
I had already set up an account for her on my Mac, so her iPad is backed up.  But when she syncs her contacts to Mail on my Mac, none of the contacts come across, because they are not iCloud contacts.
My question is still how do I get these contacts off the iPad and onto either the cloud or the mac so I can change their group so they sync in future and so that we can send a group email advising her friends and relatives of her change of email address.  If this is not possible it means emailing a hundred or so people individually.
How sad that it is not possible on the ipad to select all contacts and assign them to a different group.
