MESSAGE_TYPE_X in POS Retail

Hi,
I'm facing a short dump error is POS DM. When I read data from the remote cube using LISTCUBE / RSA3 (checking the datasource), I'm getting MESSAGE_TYPE_X error in the following line, this is due to the SY-SUBRC NE 0.
If NOT SY-SUBRC IS INITIAL.
MESSAGE X000(/POSDM/COMMON) with " " " " " ".
ENDIF.
My datasource is 0RT_PA_TRAN_CON_REM
Please let me know if there is any OSS for this.
Thanks,
Chandran

Hi,
This behaviour can be observed if there were changes done to tablespace in the target system during deletion (for example: the tablespace assigned to ZAGILE_ECO does not exist anymore). Do check for ORA-00959 errors in the system logs in such a situation.
Also check if the table ZAGILE_ECO has already been deleted. In that case, you can just ignore the error and change the status of the activity to complete via tha troubleshooter.

Suman

  • POS information (Retail) and BW

    Hi Experts
Where do I find information about setting up the POS retail solution in BW and how to integrate it with ERP?
    Kind regards

    Hi,
what kind of information do you need? It depends on what stage you are... do you post already inbound IDOCs type WPUBON in your ERP?
this implementation is quite specific to your needs and I don't know specific docu about it... I know there is a new feature called PIPE

Otherwise the content datasource is 2LIS_44_POSREC...

  • SAP ISR -XI - SAP POS. File size more than 11 KB failing in Inbound

    Hi All,
We are implementing SAP ISR- XI - POS Retail implementation using
Standard Content Store Connectivity 2.0, GM Store Connectivity 1.0, and
    other contents.
In our Inbound Scenario File-RFC , we are picking files from FTP server
for sales and totals data and if the size of this sales data file in
format *_XI_INPUT.DAT is greater than 11 kb , it is failing at XI
Mapping level, saying Exception occurred during XSLT
mapping "GMTLog2IXRetailPOSLog" of the application. We have tried and tested at mapping level no error found as this is processing files below 11 Kb successfully with same mappings, Also this is standard Mapping by SAP in form of XI Content Store connectivity 2.0.
At XI Side we have processed the file of eg: 40 KB  by splitting the record data and making
file size less than 11KB and it is being processed successfully, but file of 40 kb fails.
    XI Server: AIX  Server.
There may be some memory setting missing or some basis problem also. Kindly let me know how to proceed.
    Regards,
    Surbhi Bhagat

    hi,
this is hard to believe that such small files cannot be processed
do your XI mappings work for any other flows with something more then 11kb?
let me know about that and then we will know some more
as this is realy very small size
maybe your XI was installed in on PocketPC

  • Re-init of POS cube

    Hello,
Should it not be possible to delete all data in a standard POS retail cube, delete the init request setting in data package, delete the delta queue AND THEN perform a new delta init?
This delta init should then pick up all data from the extraction queue..
    Am I right?
I have problems with this re-init...
    Best regards,
    Fredrik

    Hi Fredrik,
Yes it is possible to delete the Init request from the POS Retail cube and Intialization for source system in infopackagea also call the transaction RSA7 in your source system and delete the corresponding DataSource's delta queue for the relevant BW system. After that you must request the data again in the DeltaInit mode from BW.
    Hope it helps...

  • What are touch tablets and how to program for it?

    Hi
I have to develop the application for POS/retailer shops where consumer can browse thru the list of products on the touch table deveice. But i m new to this technology and really dont know much. I tried to look into net but i didnt get anything useful except Unipower's PSA (my requirement is si,ilar to PSA), but it doesnt describe the technology.
Can somebody please help me? fast

I think the accessibility class handles devices like touch pads. Which by the way is basicaly a screen that displays your gui, and instead of clicking the buttons they touch them. Think of an ATM machine.

  • Increased Data from 500mb

Does anyone know if it is possible to extend the data allowance from 500mb. I currently have two users associated with my account and tend to under use our HTC Desires abilities due to the data limit. I'd be happy to pay more up front rarther than risk going into the pay as you go data charges if I went over. Many thanks for any reply.

    Hi Shailendra,
As you have mentioned that in sxmb_moni the date of creation is 21st february it means that the file which your SAP XI server receives from the directory is on 21st Feb
Now let us annalyse it in more details:
From POS to SAP XI you might have some connection and you have sent the data from POS to SAP XI it means that data is reched to your SAP XI server on 21st and thas why it created message on 21st feb.
    My question to you is:
    1) what is the type of connection you are using between POS Retails outlets and POS enterprise server
    2) How you are moving the file from POS Enterprise server & SAP XI
    3) Is there any batch job you have scheduled for moving the file in between POS Enterprise server & SAP XI server from where you are receiveing the files.
Please clarify the abovementioned three questions then will answer your query correctly.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Apple Misrepresentation

I feel Apple has misrepresented the MacBook Pro.
Various marketing hypsters made claims that the MBP would run all OS-X PPC applications 'natively' on the Intel platform. I waited nearly 6 months before making the switch to give the product time to settle in and for vendors to do whatever they have to to adjust their applications.
So after purchasing a 17"/2.16GHz MBP last week I try to install PGP Desktop 9.06 and get "PGP Desktop cannot be installed on this computer."
I go to PGP's site and sure as **** there is a post in the forums stating that the intel compatibility is 'forthcoming' in an unspecified 'future release'. This is just wrong.
As a consumer, I really don't care whether the problem is Apple's or PGP's. I just want the computer to work and my applications to run.
I NEVER would have purchased this hardware had I known that one or more of my mission critical applications would not work.
To add insult to injury, Apple decided to lose the PCMCIA slot for "ExpressCard/34". To date (and a year after the MBP announcemnt) there are only 4 ExpressCards that are compatible with OS-X. This is unacceptable. The very least Apple could do was to provide a free PCMCIA adapter with each MBP until sufficient EC/34 cards were available.
I thought I had researched the MBP pretty thoroughly before committing to a purchase, but I apparently failed to dig deep enough.
I do not recommend this product. It is simply not ready for general market release, nor will it be until more applications are ported and broader variety of ExpressCards are available at my local POS retailer.

I feel Apple has misrepresented the MacBook Pro.
Various marketing hypsters made claims that the MBP
would run all OS-X PPC applications 'natively' on the
    Intel platform.
All? Apple's positioning on that has been pretty clear:
"Rosetta technology runs most of your current Mac OS X software on Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs." (apple.com/intel)
I NEVER would have purchased this hardware had I
known that one or more of my mission critical
    applications would not work.
Did it not occur to you to contact the software vendor of your mission critical app and ask them if their product would run on an intel-based mac? That's all the 'research' you needed to do, and could have been done in short order.
Sorry bro not feeling your pain here...

  • POS DM: Stock updates in SAP Retail

    Hi!
We are implementing SAP Retail (ERP 6.0 EHP4 stack 3), SAP PI (Netweaver PI 7.1 SP 8) and SAP BW (NetWeaver 7.0 ehp1 stack 4, incl BI content 704, SP 3 ) for a client. Their POS system is a 3rd party system, i.e. not SAP POS, and it does not contain any stock information.
This issue concerns stock updates in SAP Retail using POS DM:
On the busiest day of year, my client has 347 000 POS transactions in total from all stores, and in one year they have 30 mill POS transactions. My client requires that SAP will provide them with near-realtime information on stock availability, as this is an important way of providing good customer service. The stock information should be available in SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP Retail Store, as well as standard SAP gui transaction. In addition, the webshop (external system) should have as accurate information about stock as possible, at least it should be updated once every 30 minutes.
My client also has a requirement to be able to create purchase orders during office hours (store opening hours), based on MRP runs. This means they must have as accurate stock levels as possible for running MRP. Stock levels are also used in ATP checks, when deciding whether to pick customer orders from store inventory/stock or to create purchase requisitions.
All these requirements have led us to believe that the best way to solve this, is alternative A:
    - to update stock continuously during office hours, using WPUBON to create material documents, one for each POS transaction. Sales and tenders will be updated in SAP Retail using WPUUMS and WPUTAB.
    Some challenges this will create:
    a)     It will create 347 000 WPUBONs on the busiest day of year, all within 10-12 open hours.
    b)     If we have same amount of material docs and FI docs, they will use 30% of the available 8 digits within their number ranges per year.
    c)     The idocs will fail if there are article locks simultaneously. (However, this can be handled by updating products only at night time (using batch jobs) and using batch job to handle failed idocs)
Edited by: Øystein Emhjellen on Jan 4, 2010 2:15 PM

    Alternative B:
    - we have considered to use WPUUMS and WPUTAB, updating stock levels only once a day. The solution we then must use for taking into account actual sales data is described in SAP Note 1088886 - Using the interface for online stock queries. If we choose this, we need to check during the day for each article any sales, to reduce stock in reporting/screens, ATP checks and in MRP runs. We must also create a program to check for articles sold before sending stock data to webshop (external system). (As we do not know which articles have been sold, we must create our own version of RFC - /POSDW/SALES_QUERY_RFC, to enable that the article number does not have to be specified. Rather, the article numbers (and sold quantities) have to be returned to ERP based on what was actually sold.)
We consider this alternative more risky, due to the need for changing behaviour of standard programs for MRP and ATP check. It will also create a number of RFC calls between SAP ECC and SAP BW.
My questions on this issue are:
    i)     Will alternative A be preferrable, if hardware requirements are handled?
ii)     Do you see any additional challenges related to alternative A?
iii)     Will alternative B be adviceable, concerning the program changes/enhancements involved?
iv)     Are there standard implementations of SAP ECC, that includes the use of RFC - /POSDW/SALES_QUERY_RFC. I.e. standard programs in SAP ECC that uses the information from this RFC call?
    Thanks for any advice !
    Best regards,

    Entries will be as follows:
If a customer is making a down payment of Rs.1000/-
    <b>Cash a/c    DR                                                                                1000/-
Customer or Site CR(Retail Stores if u dont maintain individual customers)     1000</b>/-

  • ECC(IS Retail) between POS system

Hi in ECC where should i check aggreate sales trasactions, payment transactions at the day end.
    A) Does system creating single sales order, if yes where can i see...
    B) If i want report payment made through only credit cards and only cash and gift vouchers, in which transaction we can see.
    C) Billing list created in POS, where we can execute report in ECC(retail system)
    regards
    Satish

    Hi Satish,
You can use transaction code WPER (POS Interface Monitor) to check Aggregated Sales Data & Payment List Data.
    A. System does'nt create any sales document in the system.
    B. If you want to see Means of Payment like cash, Credit Card etc,
Go to WPER - Inbound Processing - Documents Processed - WPUTAB Payment List - Expand IDoc -    Double click on any  billing document.
    C. Question is not clear.

  • Retail POS Data

    Hi
We have a requirement where in we need to transfer data from Retail POS system into BW cubes. I read in help portal that POS Inbound Processing Engine (PIPE) is used to pull the data from POS database.
    1. Is PIPE available readily in BI system or do we need to install any pack or software?
    2. Do we need to make any customization (SPRO)settings in BI?
    3. Do we need to maintain any RFC connection?
    Your help is really appreciated

    Hi
    1) ECC to POS : a) WDBM_HPR tcode is use to trigger idoc for assortment list
    b) WPMA tcode is used for triggering idocs for MC based promotion,Merchandise Hirarchacy & mixmatch discounts.
    2) POS to SAP R/3 : data will pass through XI. POS Tlog files will be used by XI to process data into SAP.
WPUUMS & WPUTAB Idocs will be used to send data to R/3.
we can check in R/3 by using Tcode WPER for the creation of billing documents & Article documents.
    Error handling :
    1) check in weo5 & in XI monitoring for outbound idocs.
    2) check in we05 inbound & in XI for inbound monitoring.
