Help with an error message: This edit cannot be done...
"This edit cannot be done because a transition would be cut or an item to one side of a transition would become too short."
Can someone please help me understand this one? I have a project with self made lower thirds from a .tif graphic on V2 and a text track on V3. Each track has a 15 frame Edge Wipe on both ends. Within the sequence I have no problem either drag copying both tracks together or even copy/pasting them further down the sequence.
The error pops up when I try to copy/paste to a different sequence. Regardless of whether I try to paste it above my video on V1 or past the video's end I still get that error message.
If I delete the transitions, I can copy/paste just fine and re-add them, but it's so frustrating. I really just want to understand what's going on here. Could someone explain this in layman's terms?
Edit: I should also add that if I Option-Click the Toggle Auto Select for track two, I can paste just fine. Which might lead me to believe that it's trying to paste to track V1 where video is already laid down, except that even if I try to paste after the video it still won't work. If I'm copying track V2 and V3, shouldn't paste automatically past to V2 and V3?
Message was edited by: The BundokI had this problem before. I like to disable extra services to speed up my computer and I disabled the Apple Mobile Device service and had to re-enable this.
You can do that by going Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Once you have gone to the services window, look for Apple Mobile Device and right-click. Select "Properties". There should be some information about the service as well as the label "Startup Type" with a drop-down menu beside it. If it says "disabled", that is your problem; Change the selection to anything except disabled (Automatic is easier and ensures that you can sync as soon as itunes opens).
If this doesn't work, I would look into your anti-virus' settings. Good Luck! -
OmniPortlet: getting "500 Internal Server Error" message on edit
hi,
i've installed the jpdk and portalTools on oracle 9ias-rel.2 (portal 9.0.2.6). i can include omniportlets on my pages, but whenever i want to define/edit them i get the message "500 Internal Server Error" from listener (on the edit page).
what have i done wrong?

Apple Support Communities Spellcheck and The Box about why something was Edited

Two Questions.
1) Has anyone found a way to make the choice in the SpellChecker anything but English US.
I can change it for one post but the next always is back at English US
(I know the HTML Editor is subject to my computer's settings and is somewhat helpful if untidy)
2) If you come back to edit you post a similar box to the Title Box on the Original Post appears below the main Reply area. (Small and narrow but can have plenty of text added)
It has a standard "Message was Edited by :- (Your alias)" pre-filled.
I prefer/used to add new lines in the Previous software and add why I had Edited.
I find that adding a new line does not actually add them when posted. In fact a Space between the end of my alias and the new add-on text is missing.
Has anyone found a way to tweak the actions of this Box ?
(I have tried HTML <br> tags and the <p> tags to no avail)

Followed by two more enter keys and the br tag and that line as in the pic.
The most that happens is a space is actually created (which may or may not be new)
I preferred under the old system to also say why I edited something and now it looks like a mess (See Below the Sig stuff)

I recently upgraded both Pages 09 (I believe) and went to OSX 10.9 Maverick .... now I am unable to send a pages document to a friend on gmail. Google rejects the message and attachment with the following explanation -

IWORKS 09 pages, keynote, numbers does not send in MAIL (mac) because of "This message was blocked because its content presents a potentialsecurity issue"
its a problem not only on GMAIL but also Live, Hotmail, Yahoo, and other services...
The problem is that gmail and others haved yet accepted the latest iworks 09 files. its a problem that apple can ask then to fix but its up to the gmail and others to fix it.
Solution!!!:
1 - Send it by exporting to office files
2 - Saving the files as old iwork documents
3 - Command P and save as PDF
4 - Save in icloud and send the URL
So you can still send them but have to take a bit more of your time

Getting an error message while editing RED .r3d footage.

I have been working on a music video that was shot on a RED and having some problems and I'm not sure if it has to do with the file types or not. Everything was working well, almost without a hitch, until I had about 30 seconds of footage edited.
Then after effects would crash on loading the file without a log, or it would crash in any project (even a blank one) after a minute or so, with this message:

I have no idea what to do from here, our deadline is sunday and I have a lot of keying and masking to do.
Please help me troubleshoot this, I have a macbook pro 15 inch with a retina display.In finder use the Go menu and hold down the Option key to reveal the Library. You can also open up preferences and click Reveal Preferences in Finder at the bottom of the General page. Another option is to hold down the Alt/Option + Ctrl/Cmnd + Shift When you launch AE and it will give you the option to delete your preferences file. I'm replying to this post from my iPhone, I'm not really sure about the shift key. Give it a try with, and if that doesn't work without.

I was editing photos and it was getting stuck or frozen and working very slowly. I attempted to restart the computer but it would not allow me to quit aperture. Now aperture appears in my toolbar but will not open up so I can work on any photos. Any ideas?
Did you try opening from the Applications folder?
Depending on how far that gets you, I would also take a look at the Troubleshooting Basics. -
I have been emailing pictures from my ipad to my computer and have been going along nicely and now when I went to send 5 pictures to my computer from my ipad I am getting a message that says " cannot send mail The message was rejected by the server" cannot understand why this is happening and have not been able to fix. Now when I try to send pictues even to another email address I am getting the same message.
Help.Email may not be the best way to move pictures.

Following the upgrade to iOS 7.0.3 on all our iPhone and iPad devices, it has been identified that when sending emails around 100KB in size and over an error message appears on the device stating “Cannot Send Mail The message was rejected by the server because it is too large.” See error message below. The send/receive limit is over 10MB so this is not the issue.
We are in an Exchange Environment using Microsoft Activesync. This issue is not evident in iOS 6. This has been tested on an iPhone 3GS running version iOS 6.1.3. We have been unable to repeat the issues seen on iOS 7 on the older OS. It is not possible to roll back to the older operating system as Apple are no longer signing the software.
We use Microsoft Active Sync to connect to our Exchange servers through a TMG. The issue is very inconsistent, some identical emails go through, some fail. This is not an issue with the send/receive limit as this is over 10MB. The error message when it fails on the TMG is Status: 413 Request Entity Too Large, which we believe is from IIS on the CAS server.
Does anyone have any suggest course of actions to take?

As his concern is, if ither ios devices works why don't mine? So I am helpless than changing my iphone. It works fine for early versions of ios and with androids. And also one of my friends iphone4 with ios 7 (similar as mine) works too. So I guess it's something wrong with my iPhones settings. But basic question I cannot understand is it works in my phone before this ios7 upgrading. And currently working with my yahoo account too. Favourable reply expected.

Doubtful unless your carrier has an app that includes the option.
My carrier has an app that I can check current usage and past usage with a previous bill and pay the bill. -
Error 513, no message was created in support desk system BCOS005
Hi All,
After completing the ITSM config on Solution Manager 7.1, I am stuck with the following error when creating message from any of the satellite system, or from SM itself.
"Because of error 513, no message was created in support desk system"
Message no. BCOS005
Error logs from SLG1:
"No message created from SAP message 00xxxxxx 000xxxxx 2013 due to missing IBase"
Transaction: SOLMAN_INCIDENT_UPD
Program:AI_CRM_IM_UPDATE_FROM_SAP
I have already checked various threads and suggested notes including 1522809 / 1741109, but unable to fix the issue.
RFC's between both the systems are working fine. The entry for BCOS_CUST on SM is maintained as
OSS_MSG W NONE CUST 6.2 1.0
The number range for SLF1 is maintained as 01 in TCode DNO_CUST01
I suspect this to be related to IBASE or Number range, but seem to have the correct values maintained as mentioned in above notes. Would appreciate your valuable inputs on this.

After implementing QAS in sp's 15, when the user wants to create a message from QAS solution manager, get the following error "Because of error 513, no message was created in Support Desk System"
has been revised rfc connections and have no problem because when the user is done with NetWeaver - works perfect basis.
Nor is it because of permissions users have the same roles that were assigned in the other systems DEV and PRD, and when they have no problems sending messages.
I have reviewed the table BCOS_CUST "and is fine. As in other systems.
I am grateful if someone can help me.
