Message when installing itunes?

When im installing itunes, a message pops up stating "Service "Ipod Service" could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privelages to stop system services."
Does anyone know the cause of this and how it can be fixed? Thanks.

in cases where "My Music" isn't appearing as an option in TweakUI, we've had some success with the alternate procedure from this Nigel Carpenter post:

    Sean,
Yes, this is a known defect:  CSCue69477 - CTI Route Port Synch Issue with CUCM.  As per the bug:
"This issue will occur if the "SUBSCRIBE Calling Search Space" under Protocol Specific Information in the Template for the CTI Route Ports is configured. To work around this, the "Owner User ID" under Device Information for the Template needs to be configured."

When I was trying to upgrade my Itunes to Itunes 7 , it downloaded all the way, but when it was preparing to install i got this message.

My computer wasn't running in safe mode and ive gotten this message many times when i have tried to redownload it so it must be an ongoing problem. What should i do?

  • Error Message when installing iTunes 10.7

Everytime I try to install the 64 bit version of iTunes I get the following error message:
    Error message: 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32".version="8.0.50727.4053".publicKeyToken="1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="amd64"'.
I do have a 64 bit version computer. That is not my problem.  This has been happening for over a year now.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)

  • Please help - error message when installing iTunes 10

I have tried several times to install iTunes to my laptop. Every time, I get an error message that reads: "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."
I tried deleting the temp file and uninstalled all Apple components and still get the same error message.

Perhaps let's check to see if at least some of the iTunes components install.
Try installing QuickTime "on it's own". (Actually, this'll install a fair few of the other related itunes programs too, but not all of them.) Get the installer that doesn't mention itunes:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Does that install for you? If not, what error message do you get on the QuickTime install?

Can anyone tell me how to correct this, I had to update my iPhone on my girlfriends alienware lastnight... she has windows 7.

I first received the error message that ISScript.msi is missing from my machine. So I went online and downloaded the updates for all my ISScript.msi. and then tryed reinstalling itunes and quicktime, same message!!! so I deleted all the Isscript.msi files and downloaded new ones. but NO ITUNES!!! Can someone please help????
It sounds like the previous versions of iTunes and/or QuickTime didn't properly uninstall after all.
Let's see if we get success with the following procedure.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from Microsoft:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in cleanup, select any iTunes and/or QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

With that one, try heading into your Windows Update and attempting to download some new updates. If they download, try another iTunes install.
If the Windows updates fail, open your Update History and doubleclick the failed updates. In the small box that comes up, what error message code are you seeing?
If it's an 0x8007000b, try the following document:
    [Windows Update error 8007000b|http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Windows-Update-error-80070 00b]
... then stock up on Windows Updates, and then try another iTunes install.
If it's a different error code for the Windows Update failures, post back to let us know what it says.
(The underlying problems that can produce the iTunes install troubles of the type you're getting also typically prevent Windows Updates from installing. So my main strategy with them is to use the Microsoft documentation on the Update errors ... if we can get those fixed, the iTunes trouble is usually cleaned up +en passant.)+

  • Can anyone help with an error message when installing iTunes?

    Hi,
I have been trying to upgrade my iTunes to 7.6, I have been unable to upgrade since version 7.3 it fails right at the end, well this time it didn't work either. I took the advice of the support pages and uninstalled iTunes but when I try to re-install I get this during the first part when it is installing QuickTime,
A portion of the folder path " is invalid. It is either empty or exceeds the length allowed by the system.
I click OK and get this,
The installation of QuickTime did not complete successfully. iTunes requires QuickTime.
I have tried to uninstall QuickTime but I get the same messages.
    Can anyone help me?!

I am having the exact same problem! and now i can't access my pending downloads!! if anybody has any answers, i am begging you, please help me. if i can't fix this then i have wasted $40., so please, help me!
