MessageLovInput binding with table

I am using uix/struts/bc4j. I would like to fill messageLovInput with data taken from a table. Can it be done by using some binding? If not, I would need to fill it from some provider - but how to pass values to provider from table bindings? Thanks a lot for any help.

probably your problem is not in the HTMLB code, but in the controller class. I don´t see any error here and corresponds to my developments, too.
I suggest that you set a breakpoint in the place in DO_HANDLE_EVENT where you catch the event that is triggered with the button. Once there in debug mode, create a watch point and see where the value for model->GT_EIF_MASS get´s lost.
By the way, the correct code is model->GT_EIF_MASS and not model>-GT_EIF_MASS.

When I scroll in any tableview then the relationship between data are lost and Line had start showing wrong relationship.

Hi Roank ,
I think your approach of mapping the table using TableCell is not correct because the tablecell is updated everytime you scroll,click and other events. Although I can't give you full guide but the algorithm must be something like this:
+ Use the index of table cell or item Object instead of using the tableCell.
+ The index of cell is get from cell.getIndex();
Implementation
+ If the mapping is to be done then you must first save the index of two table in a Map<integer,integer> .
+ Now update the line of mapping only if the index matches in the cellfactory (during update of the table cell).
Otherwise the line x,y must be set to the last known x,y position of that tablerow indexI think this way the things goes correctly. One thing to remember that tablecell is always updated.

What I understood from your coding is...
* navigate from <CONTEXT> to <NODE_FLIGHT> via lead selection
Node_Node_Flight = wd_Context->get_Child_Node( Name = IF_VIEW1=>wdctx_Node_Flight ).
You are reading values from the above node and binding the values to the same node.Am i right?
Did you take seperate context node for your input fields or binded the above context to the fields.If not then read the context attribute values which are binded to the carrid and connid then pass these values to select query.
One more thing is select cardinality 1..n for node NODE_FLIGHT since you are displaying more than one record.
Go through the some basic tutorials.Search in sdn you will it get.Already there is a tutorial in sdn which explains exactly what do you require.

Manual Data binding with ADF table?

I am making a stored procedure call for fetching data from database on the click of action button. My query has a where clause in it. I am not able to bind my adf table manually with my data control. Can anyone provide me some link for binding my ADF table with data control manually? My requirement is like : - I have one table in which I am displaying data in ADF table. I want to display data in another table on click of some id in the coulmn of first table.

You basically have two options - you can choose to use ADF Binding - and have your Java class return a collection - then you just right click the class to expose it as an ADF Data control.
Or if you rather not use ADF Binding, then you'll need to have a managed bean that returns a collection and you can use "regular" JSF binding to bind the table to it.

BPM Payload bind to adf query panel with table

hi guys,
i have a requirement to process all result row in the table to my bpm process.
i have a bpm taskflow and already defined the payload xml.
in the taskflow UI, i hv a adf query panel with table from a criteria View object.
how can i bind the search result to the bpm payload ?
i tried to bind it directly, but it turns out error.
or do you hv a better approach to this requirement, so i can add/remove row in table dynamically ?

Binding with all the nodes to the table

Hi,
I have requirement like this,
I have table in which data is displayed using BAPI.
In my BAPI , there are four tables.
My criteria is to bind the values to the table from the four nodes which is mapped from BAPI.
But I can't able to bind the value form all the nodes, it allowing me to only bind form one node.
Please help me with the procedure to bind the values to the table from all the nodes in the context.

I had a similar requirement and resolved my problem by following the below procedure. Try this, it might help you.
I have got 3 Nodes coming from a BAPI
Model Node Root--
       Model Node A---
          Attribute- 1
          Attribute- 2
      Model Node B--
          Attribute- X
          Attribute- Y
      Model Node C--
         Attribute- F
         Attribute- G
Now I want bind all these Nodes to one table. So, I created a "Value Node" - V under Model Node Root. Then create Value Attributes under Node -V with the similar names of the above Model Node attributes and then change their "Type" property exactly same as the Model Attributes Type.
Then, create a Table and then Bind the table to the Value Node. Now, in your wdDoinit Method of your Component Controller, give this code
WDCopyService.copyElements(wdContext.node<modelnode>, wdContext.node<valuenode>);
Later in your View Implementation give the following Code.
IPrivate<Name>View.ISourceValueNode iSourceValueNode= wdContext.nodeSourceValueNode();

IPrivate<Name>View.ITargetRFC Element iTargetRFCElement;

Issue with Data binding in Table with Parameters

When we bind the table rows with parameter 'select', the data is not displayed in the table. Check the snippix file created for this issue: url: http://veui5infra.dhcp.wdf.sap.corp:8080/snippix/#70874

Create an object representing the row (setter/getter). Then have a list of these objects. Drag and drop the table and point its value to the list and the type to the row object

Table with XSD binding merge tables data

Hi All,
Case 1 : If i bind the table to XSD,and create a few table. After save the form and re-open the pdf, all the table data are merged.
Case 2 : If i remove the table binding and create tables., after save the form and re-open the pdf, then the tables are not merged.
but, i need to have the table binding as later i will used that to capture data from the pdf.
If anyone have any suggestion , please advice.

I could not use both solution because I've two list (two data model) from different source, when the jsf page is generated it generated the correct number of column and output text but when I try to retrieve the component output text for example the 1 row and the second output text I got a null pointer exception because the column only have 1 child and not the full elements that we can see at html rendering.
There is no solution for getting the full list of components before the page is generated ? because findComponent recursivly called doesn't found what I want.

Can EJB 3.0 beans be used with tables that do not have a primary key?

Can a EJB 3.0 persistence bean be used with tables that do not have a primary key defined? I am building a test application based on the HowTo - Building EJB 3.0 Faces App paper posted after Openworld (schalk). The issue I am running into when trying to run the application is: Exception Description: Entity class [class com.persistence.Rpthead] has no primary key specified. Note: I get a simular error when using toplink directly.
The tables I am binding to do not have primary keys defined. They use unique constraints to manage the table integrity.
Is it possible to use EJB 3.0 on tables without a primary key? If not, are there plans to support this in the future?

The spec requires a primary key Id annotation. I will take your suggestion to EJB 3.0 expert group.

I'm using JDev 11.1.1.3.0 as you suggest the error is no longer present in the latest version.
I can pick my query from the "Saved Search" pick list on the QueryPanel list of queries just fine, and it sets up the filter properly, but when I press the "Search" button, I get the same reported error...

I have created a view with table view. I have created the context node and mentioned the internal table to read the data from DB tables. I am filling my internal table and unable to bind the internal table data to table view. Please help me

1. I have created a new view with table view
2. Created the controller class for the view
3. Created the context node and iterator
4. In the Create context node method, I am reading the DB tables and filling my internal table.
5. Here we need to Bind the internal table data to Contextnode/Table. Please help me in this.
6. After Data binding, then I have to call typed_context->contextnode->build_table().

Bind Dynamic Table To a Context Node

I created an internal dynamic Table. I want to show this table in an ALV-Table. So I want to bind it to a context node.
I create the context node attributes by this:
lr_node_info ?= lo_nd_template_exp->get_node_info( ).
*Type of table type and context type have to be the same
LOOP AT lt_plchar INTO ls_plchar.
clear lv_text.
lv_text = ls_plchar-plchar.
TRANSLATE lv_text TO UPPER CASE.
ls_fieldcatalog-fieldname = lv_text.
ls_fieldcatalog-inttype = 'C'.
ls_fieldcatalog-intlen   = '10'.
APPEND ls_fieldcatalog TO lt_fieldcatalog.
ls_attribute-name = lv_text.
ls_attribute-type_name = 'CHAR10'.
lr_node_info->add_attribute( EXPORTING attribute_info = ls_attribute ).
ENDLOOP.
So I create a fieldcatalog and the attributes at once.
Then I generate the table with this:
CALL METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
       EXPORTING
         it_fieldcatalog = lt_fieldcatalog
       IMPORTING
         ep_table = <fs_data>
       EXCEPTIONS
         generate_subpool_dir_full = 1

Data: copy_table type ref to data.
field-symbols: <copy_table> type standard table.
create data copy_table like table of <new_line>.
assign copy_table->* to <copy_table>.
ok, nice. when i now bind the table to <copy_table> to lo_nd_template_exp it all works fine. But i also want to but the data into the table.
This also works. When I debug, I can see the table filled with the values. But then there's always this error:
Invalid operand type for the MOVE-CORRESPONDING statement.
Ok, I have read, that the types may be not fit. But I don't know why and how i can solve it.
Do you have any ideas?

Help with tables (should be simple...)

I'm trying to use a Table component as a spreadsheet template in my app:
I'd like the first column to be static-y labels (such as Sunday, Monday, etc.) and the rest of the columns to be bound to a relational data source. I thought that I could just create a simple String array of labels in the session bean and then wrap that array with an Object Array Data Provider on the page and bind the table column to the Object Array Data Provider. Doing this doesn't give me the desired/expected results, namely the first column displaying the labels. What am I missing? I can't seem to visually wrap an Object Array Data Provider around anything other than a bult-in DataType array (String, Integer, etc.) and the only properties of the String array that I can choose from for the column are CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER, bytes and empty??

Parenthetically, what are are the audiences of the Nabble forum vs. this forum? It seems (to me at least) that there is a lot of overlap in the Creator/VWP topics. Which forum is more active? Does anyone find that the Creator audience is migrating to the Netbeans VWP forum? I seem to be getting better responses to my queries on that forum, but that may be due to the nature of my (admittedly newbie-ish) posts.
