Messages application empty no text messages

Starting this morning the Messages app on my iphone 4S v6.1.3 is empty. It doesn't show any sms text messages at all and no edit button. I have powercycled twice and shutdown all apps twice but it is still in the same state. There should be 50+ messages in the application. Anyone else seen this?

Same thing happening to our phones and we have sprint. Called customer support who said I am the only one reporting this issue so they are not worried about it. I spoke to the senior customer support, Brittney, and was told they don't read the discussions here and only respond to a phone call to (800) MY-IPHONE (800-694-7466) .
She suggested for me to restore my entire phone.
This sounds like a virus and if it is affecting our phones where we can't use them it could affect any iPhone users!
Please call Apple ASAP and report this problem!

I have an issue in handling empty file in the Text (FCC) to Text (FCC) file scenario. Interface picks text file and delivers on target system as text file. I have used FCC in both sender and receiver CCs.
Interface is working fine if the source file is not empty. If the source text file is empty (zero Bytes), interface has to delivery an empty text file on target system. I have setup empty file handling options correctly on both CCs.
But when I tried with an empty file I am getting the error message 'Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!'.
Could you please suggest me what I need to do to create an empty text file on target system from empty source text file?

the problem is that when there is an empty file there is no XML for parsing available. Hence in case you are using a mapping it will fail.
What ideally you should do is to have a module that will check if the file is empty and if so write out an XML as you want with no values in the content/fields.
Or the next choice would be to have a java mapping to handle this requirement. I guess that on an empty file the java mapping will go to an exception which you can handle to write out your logic/processing

Generate dummy XML for an empty input text file

Hi All,
i know when XI gets an empty input text file, it does not generate a send message for it in sender communication channel.
in my scenario, if i get a file with data, i have to generate an XML message for it using file content conversion - this i have done...........
but if i get an empty text file, then i have to generate a dummy XML send message for it for my BPM.......
Has anybody generated a dummy XML message for an empty input file........please respond only if you have practically generated a XML message in SXMB_MONI for an empty input text file.

i made a J2EE adapter module to generate dummy xml for empty file.....but when i give a file with data in it, then my adapter module is called..... but when i give an empty file, then my adapter module is not called.........
so if somebody has practically generated a dummy XML for an empty file by any method, please tell.

I just want this gone and like i said Firefox should of given us the choice to add this and not forced us, because if there is no actual way to remove it then il be forced to remove Firefox till they either remove it or allow us to remove it!

Launch Application empty...

Hi,
Running Arch Linux 64bit on Acer 8930G 2.27GHz, 4GB DDR2, 160GBSATA and Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT 512MB using KDE 4.8 desktop environment.
When I clicked on a hyperlink via an email mesage the Launch Application popped up and it is empty.
Is that a bug? How do I fix it?

Clicked a hyperlink from what? What kind of hyperlink was it? HTTP, magnet (a la TPB)?
PS: 37 views because "Launch Application empty..." sounds like dyslexia. Some of them could've been caused by you, like for example refreshing the page a few times.
You shouldn't expect help. Not immediate help, anyway. We're all volunteers here. And Arch is a DIY kind of distribution, where users are encouraged to solve their own problems. It's why you see so many solved topics coming from the Arch forums. It implies a certain mindset.

Calling a new Browser Window from Web Dynpro Application - Empty Context

I want to open a view in a new browser window, and followed the same way which is described in this thread:

My first try was creating two applications, which refer to the same Component Controller. The opening of a new browser window is triggered by an action, which is called in the other application. As both applications have the same Component Controller, I thought, the context content has to be the same, but actually the context attributes are empty after opening of the new window.
In my second try I created two applications with two different Component Controllers, mapped via embedded Interface Controller. The effect is the same - I have no context content in the view.
Please, can anybody help me?

Empty long text in notification

Hello Everyone,
Here is my problem.
We create a notification via IW21following these steps :
- Fill the mandatory fields
- Fill the Subject LONG Text
- Create the order
After saving the created notification and while trying to display/modify our notification, we find that the LONG Text previously filled EMPTY.
Can you please propose a solution to get the LONG Text once we save the notification?
For you information, I tried the solution Import FROM MEMORY ID 'SAPLSTXD000001' but the customer isn't satisfied with it and wants something more efficient.

How does one completely empty a text frame of all text -- including overflow?

Using something like myTexframe.contents = '' will only remove the visible text bounded by the frame and not any overflow. I need to empty the frame completely. Thanks.

of course, what I just wrote will delete the entire story, i.e., the
contents of any previous text frames as well. Is that what you want?

Background application for handwriting text input

Hi,
Is it possible to have a background application running or through any other way so that my application can provide a handwriting input mode wherever iPhone takes text input through keyboard?

Legal, non-system iPhone apps can't run in the background, and no such app would have permission to read another app's input even if it could run in the background. There are some forms of communication between apps, such as registered URL's and PUSH notification, but since only one app can run at a time, there's no communication option that's close to what you're looking for. I think your idea would require the kind of tight integration used in assistive technology such as screen readers. Given the kind of security users expect from the iPhone, such a feature would need to be part of the system.
I think the library you described in your other post is most likely the best way to distribute your software. However you might also consider providing a web service. You might think of the web as the primary means of inter process communication for iPhone apps. A web service might allow developers to buy your technology on a pay-as-you-go basis instead of buying the rights to the library. Maybe that could work if you decode static info. Of course if you need a log of the touch events, you'd probably need so much processing in the client that a library would be much better... Just thinking out loud in the unlikely case any of my thoughts are useful to you. Obviously I know nothing about handwriting recognition, and I've wandered off topic. The short answer to your original question is no.

Steve Muench ADF Sample Applications Empty

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but does anyone else have an issue with retrieving any of Steve's sample applications? I am able to get the zip file, but they are all empty and I get an error saying the zip file is corrupt.

Paint type application for centred text

Looking for the above as I am creating a jpeg and want to add text and be able to control where that text is on the jpeg.
Tried Paintbrush 1.2 but it is not easy to control the text.
Anyone any suggestions..... looking for freeware application ( or something I already have within Mac OSX and didn't realise ! )

I use Preview to do it.
First, add the Annotate tools to the Tool Bar:
View > Customize Tool Bar
Add the Annotate tools
Second, click and hold on the Annotate Tool in the Tool Bar until you see the Note Tool.
Click on the Note tool.
Use the mouse to draw a rectangle in the picture.
You will see the word "text" centered in the rectangle.
Select the word text and type what you need.
You can choose fonts and colors.

Application to grab text from folder names?

I doubt there is software for this - if there isn't there needs to be - it'd make a killing!
I'm looking for an app that can grab texts from folder names...what i mean is let's say
on my desktop I have a folder titled "Movies", and inside that folder are hundreds of folders -
each folder containing a movie. Each folder is a title of a movie. I would like to somehow select
all of these folders and grab the text off of each folder - to catalogue my movies into a simple text file.
I know I could open a word doc or txt doc and go one-by-one but i have thousands of movies and this
would take forever. Please tell me there is an application that can save me some time with this.

i couldn't get what you wrote to work - i tried inputting different paths, etc. i'm probably doing something wrong -
but i used this script

Lion Server Java Control Panel and Java applications empty?

I have installed FileMaker Server 12 on a Lion Server (10.7.5). The server is pretty clean, only a few users have been set up for CalDAV and CardDAV use in a small company. While installing the FileMaker software shouted for Java, which I installed from Oracle, version 7 update 10 (used the link).
But Java is not running fine as it seems. When I open System Preferences - Java to open the Java Control Panel, the panel shows up but is completely empty. And so for any Java program I run, all windows will show up empty.
Any ideas anyone?

Try clearing the java cache manually.
/Users/username/Library/Caches/Java/cache/
if that doesn't work follow this process.
Uninstall the JRE7
Restart
Install Java for OS X 2012-006
Restart
Install JRE7
Restart
Lastly, if this is a hackintosh you may be fighting a uphill battle. I saw a known issue posted by oracle with some graphics cards that produced this issue on windows.

I am trying to import an application from one server to another. The export worked, but when I try to import the application, I get the following error:

As you can see, 'p_default_sort_column_sequence=', has no data attached to the column, causing the import to fail. This code is generated by APEX so I'm not sure where and why this variable would be populated. How can I fix this? Any ideas?

This problem was caused by using Internet Explorer while connected to Oracle and APEX. IE corrupted the file. Once I used Firefox as my browser, the imported file was clean and the load worked perfectly. Moral of the story: Do not use IE when importing/exporting applicaiton files.

How can I indicate the states of a "empty" (no text) button ?

Hi everyone,
I've just created a video in After Fx and use it as a background menu in DVDSP.
This video contains small windows with pictures that I like to use as buttons.
I've created buttons that fit these windows but I don't know how to make the surface of the buttons change colors (using grey overlays for instance) to react to the state of the buttons (selected, activated).
Is it possible when the button doesn't contain any text?

Couple of ways to approach it
First inside DVD SP you can make aa button and use a shape over it (if any shape works for you
Or you can make a shape you like in photoshop and save as a pict overlay (though the shapes can be different buttons themselves (area they cover) are rectangular
