Messages Automatically Deleting

I am trying to get to the bottom of my "magically deleting emails". I have multiple email accounts and only on 1 account do my emails automatically delete (seems to be deleting by the 3rd day). It will leave any messages that have been sent from the BB but all received messages are gone.
Here is what I have done so far:
Checked my memory - this seems to be the common message in many of the help and forum topics. I seem to be fine on the memory, I would also assume that if it is memory it would aslo affect my other 2 accounts which it doesn't.
Contacted my phone provider - they said memory, check. they said check all the account setting. I deleted the account and reset it. Checked all of the phone options i could find regarding deleting and they are all set properly so they shouldn't delete. they said they don't know.
Contacted my email provider - This account is provided by a 3rd party, not my phone provider. They said they don't delete and checked all of our account settings and they say there is nothing on their end and it isn't them.
So further to my own delemia is my co-worker also has the same problem on his phone. We use different serivce providers and have different models of phones. The only common denominator is the email provider we use. How do I get to the bottom of this? I am frustrated because everyone keeps saying it's not them that is doing it

Hi,
I have Bold 9790 with OS 7.1.0.714
suddenly all old SMS messages are getting deleted automatically.
This is despite the SMS validity period set to "Max". And although "Keep Messages" set to "Forever"
1- Why ?

Hi Everyone,
I had a strange situation occur today with an SMS on my iPhone 5.
I signed up for a bank account and a message was sent to me with a few details of my account and a seperate SMS with a temporary PIN Number (from the same number) after authenticating my date of birth. The SMS was available all day yesterday and didnt look at it again, until I received another message from the Bank today stating "If your PIN message still exists in your inbox, Please delete manually", looking at the conversation of the SMS the temporary PIN has disappeared, Eventhough I still have other messages in the conversation available.
Can anyone in the community help me understand whether it is possible to remotely remove an individual SMS or send a timed SMS with an exipry, after which the message automatically deletes itself.

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, the sources you gave do not seem to apply exactly to my situation. I have attached some screenshots that show what the dialogue box looks like for a pdf download, and what my settings in the Apps panel of Options are. You will note in the first screenshot that I have checked the box to handle this file type automatically; however, the next time I try to download a file of that type, the same dialogue box appears looking exactly like the one shown, so checking the "automatic" option appears to do nothing. The files to be downloaded from my Gmail messages are not generic or altered file types - they are shown as pdf, doc, docx, etc. So while your intent was good, your post did not help. Thanks anyway.

Check out the documentation on "expire". Since I don't know what version Messaging server you're running, how can I point you to the right documentation?

My iPod Touch 4th Gen was running very slow, so after reading a blog, I doings clicked my home button and pressed the red button to stop some apps from running. It made my iPod work relatively faster, but my iMessages didn't seem to be working in the same way as they used to. It no longer alerts me when I have a message, even though I haven't touched my notification settings and my messages are always being automatically deleted. Inbox messages 30 days & older being automatically deleted

Mail is automatically deleting messages from my Inbox automatically when they reach an age of about 30 days, any ideas? I've got a workaround in place right now, rule that forwards messages to a yahoo account once they reach 27 days, but I'd like to be able to just leave them on my machine for those times I need to reference an email and the internet isn't available.
AFAIK there is NOT an option/preference for automatically deleting Inbox messages, that was my first thought but when I dug around I couldn't find it anywhere. Am I missing something obvious?
If the solution is to backup my messages, trash mail, and reinstall thats fine but I'd like some pointers on how to do so. I've never backed up Mail emails so any tips would help

would be interesting to trace this thread because I have a similar (if not the same) problem.
I used to use IMAP as account type for my main email account but I noticed, too, spontaneously disappearing mails.
I checked directly on the mail server and they are still there. But in Mail (version 2.0.7 (746.2/746.3) from OS X 10.4.5) I couldn't find these mails anywhere. Not in the Inbox, nor in Spam, Trash or any other local or remote folder. And there is no rule that would have affected these mails.
Meanwhile I switched to using POP3 with that email account and got the missing messages back (visible in Mail's Inbox). But I'd really like to find and solve the problem and use IMAP again.
As far as the 30 days are concerned the original poster mentioned I can't confirm this. Sometimes I think yes, there's a certain amount of time after which the mails disappear but then again it seems to be different all the time. Sometime a mail disappeared after just one day (it's still on the mail server) in Mail and sometimes mails disappeared after app. two months.
Is there any known issue? I have a lot of rules for mailing lists that just move mails into a folder -- but the missing mails can't be found in this folder, neither.
What would be necessary to reinstall Mail from scratch? Will I loose all my mails then?

I'm using Mac Mail on 10.6.8 - snow leopard. I use this program for my work emails and mail will automatically delete messages in my Inbox that are two weeks old. The email account is IMAP. I have looked in the "Account Preferences/ Advanced" and can not find a setting to correct this. What am I missing?

Are you sure it's Mail that's doing this? It could be on the other end (the server end).
Mac Mail has a preference for "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message", but there's no choice for 2 weeks, so I doubt that's it.

I like to keep messages as new until I can take action on them, but this just makes an unnecessary step. I do not have this problem on my iPhone, but I am still running 5.0.1 on the phone and have the new iPad 5.1 software.

With regards to deleting messages in Mail, you may find the following portion of the following article helpful:
To prevent the next message from being automatically selected (and marked as read), hold down the Option key when you delete a message.

You can also use Command-Shift-U to toggle a message between Read and Unread (command should be the same in Mavericks):

You can also close the Preview portion of the Mail window, which should then require you to double-click on a message to open it and have it show as read (it appears the double click on the seperator may no longer work in Mavericks, but you should still be able to drag it to make it disappear):

I have this problem, Im writing an ABAP routine in an infopackage for automatic deletion. The code ran with no errors but in the code I specified that I didnt want the previous package to be deleted if the new package has less records than the previous. The code is as follows:

Im not sure if this routine in the infopackage runs before the new record is added to the table, because if it is, then I wont be able to use a routine in the infopackage. If thats the case, does any body know another way to do this?.

Automatic deletion of Items from Customs Declaration

Hello Experts,
I will be thankful to anyone could help me with this one : We need to automatically delete line items from declaration based on certain criteria before the first outbound message is sent. For example : The process should be : 4 items in invoice, but only 2 in the declaration (duty unpaid goods). It cannot filter the data in the Feeder system. I was hoping data proposal BADI could be the solution however It does not seem to work...

Dear Branko,
if you want to delete the items before creating the idoc while processing the message, you can use the Badi /SAPSLL/CUS_ECC. There you can modify the data that are sent to customs.
The items will still be physically available in the document itself but only the ones you do not filter will be sent.
