Messages Beta: Changing the color of incoming messages?

In Messages Beta, it seems to arbitrarily pick the background color used when displaying incoming messages. Messages that I've sent have the blue background color that I'm accustomed to from my iPhone. Is there any way to change the color? It seems to have chosen pink for a male friend of mine and it's a bit distracting.

In iChat the Incoming ones were the colour that the iChat Buddy specified.
They could be somewhat "randomised" if coming from apps that did not use colour for the bubbles (AIM on a PC does not it only colours the names).
If you changed the colour to something that was custom you were less likely to clash with your Buddies IMs.
AS I said Mine is relatively dark

The Font can also be coloured (iChat to iChat or app that colours the font)
In Group Chats (Chatrooms) the Fonts and IMs can appear randomised when it is mixed PC and Mac users.
I use the View Menu > Messages > Show Names and Pics so that their Buddy pic and names appears in the Chat.

OK community members.....am I crazy or wasn't there a way to change the color of the speech bubbles in Messages? I just went from a 3gs to a new 4s and I can't seem to find where that can be done or even if it can be done. I was thinking I was able to do it on my 3gs. Thanks!!

Speech bubble colour cannot be changed. SMS is green and iMessage is blue and that's it I'm afraid.

How do I change the color of text in Messages? It was easy to do before, but I can't seem to find it after the upgrade.. is it a hidden menu option? The gray text is really annoying.

Two possible ways are available
Set the text with and html text string like "<html>" + text + "</html>"
or get the cellrenderer, cast to the DefaultCellRenderer and call setForeground or background or implement or your own cellrenderer to do the custom coloring (this could maybe depend on indexes)

How can I change the color of a object inside a symbol?

Hello!
I'm working on this study and I need to change the color of an object inside a symbol when I click another object.
The object is called "bola", wich is inside the symbol "ponto" and the clicking object are the colored pencils (each pencil should change the color of the symbol's object, giving the impression you'd selecting a different pencil to draw).
I think it's simple to understand what I mean when you see the files.
I already tried this line on click event of the pencils, but it didn't work:
sym.getSymbol("ponto").$("bola").css("color","#123456");
Anyone knows how to make that work?
I would like to improve the experience of drawing as well. I made it with the "mousedown" event. Is that a better way to get a similar effect?
