Messages duplicating themselves randomly.....

Hi everyone,
this is my first post here in the forums, so please go easy on me if I"m in the wrong place )
If started having a problem with some messages I type automatically duplicating themselves within the post. The copy is always prefixed with a Union Jack flag icon and the whole duplicated post appears within brackets. Does anyone know what causes this? Its not consistent with every message, just a random thing. My friend suggested that perhaps my account has been hacked, but I'm not so sure. Could it have something to do with the language settings on my account?
Hope someone can offer some advise.

Aha! I have sorted it.
For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

Email messages duplicate themselves in my inbox and in trash. When I move a message to trash it reappears in the inbox.

You could simply delete the Gmail Account and re-add it. Try that. The only reason you wouldn't want to do that is if there are emails you have downloaded to your computer that you've deleted off Gmail's server that you want to keep. If all the emails you want to keep are already on Gmail, then deleting and re-adding the account shouldn't be aproblem

First thing is to forget all the complex configs and just try to schedule the report to run once now, no alerts, no notifications, no nothing.
Does that work?
Then you can build up the schedule, to see where the problem is coming from.

USB Drives Ejecting Themselves randomly

I am having a very odd, and potentially "dangerous" (as it may lead to corrupt backups) problem with the USB ports on my brand new late 2011 Macbook Pro 13". The problem is that any usb drive (incl. Powered External HDDs, USB sticks, memory card readers etc.) eject themselves randomly while connected to any of the two available USB ports. I have read through several discussions about this issue but have not been able to find any explanation or solution to this. The thing which bothers me most is that when I wiggle the usb plug in the port on the laptop, the drives eject SOMETIMES, and sometimes they just eject without me doing anything, and sometimes they don't eject at all; so I don't know if it is a hardware fault, or something which I can fix myself!
I brought the machine back to the store and plugged two USB sticks in and wiggled them about, and they stayed mounted, so that was a waste of time. Then I thaught, maybe it has something to do with power management, so I tried this with the MagSafe connected and disconnected. It seems that the ejecting happens when the MagSafe IS connected to the power, and more often with my POWERED External HDDs. It makes no difference which ports I use. I reset the System Management Controller (SMC) and the problem SEEMS to have stopped, but I only tested shortly after doing this.
My question is, should I be worried that I have faulty USB ports on my Macbook (since wiggling the connection seems to have affected it), or is it really something to do with the SMC and my hardware is all OK?

So, my MacBook Pro has now undergone a logic board swap, and when I got it back from repair everything seemend perfectly fine. The external drives which kept getting ejected are not ejecting any more, no matter how much I wiggle the plug in the USB socket. Then yesterday I tried a small USB stick, and bam - it's getting ejected again when touched slightly. I tried 2 different sticks and the same thing is happening. Then I tried the HDDs again - no problems. Then tried the USB sticks again - no problems. This is really driving me crazy, I cannot understand why it happens so intermittently and then works prefectly like nothing ever happened. Also, it can't be a software issue since physically moving the USB plug affects it. Now I am not sure if I should take it back for another repair and keep fighting, or just learn to live with it. I am wondering if it is simply a design fault with the MacBook Pro, or something to do with the way the USB ports are built. Any ideas on what I should do?

Trouble with newly downloaded albums duplicating themselves and not saving in the right place.

When I buy an album from iTunes it created grey duplicates i can't delete and doesn't show up in my media location on my external drive. It's plays from the iCloud but the download from iCloud is greyed out. I didn't sign up for iTunes Match. But I think I do have an iCloud acount. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Next to the songs in question in my library there is a dotted line circle where the track number should be. The duplicated are all greyed out and it won't let me delete them. It also won't find the artwork even when I ask it to. It should up on my iPhone though. When I was clicking on the available downloads (not sure why i have to do this, instead of it downloading automatically), I got a pop-up message saying it was unable to find my external drive, but that is ******** becuase it's still shows the right location and path in the iTunes Media Folder Location in the advanced tab in Preferences.

Somewhat resloved. I quit iTunes and restarted it. The albums are their now and the duplicates are gone. Now the option to download it from the cloud is there and the album art has also appeared. Still not sure what caused the issue. I think it was a glitch or freeze with the cloud.

Mail message address has random characters - Mountain Lion

After opening a blank new message, I add an easily recognized last name. Then I get dozens of random characters instead of the proper email address. Please help me Fix this problem.

I'm having the same problem in a different part of Preferences.
I keep unchecking "Logoff after X minutes of activity" in the Security and Privacy section. After restarting the setting is checked and enabled again.
My user is a network user connected to a Mountain Lion Server. I've tried the same things with different users and computers with the same results.

Emails messages duplicated in the inbox

After various iOS updates, I am still having issues with some email messages being duplicated in the INBOX view. Are others having the same issue?

Try going into the advanced fetch settings and turn fetching for the one account to manual. (And don't use the unified inbox since it will try to fetch from all accounts.)

Messages duplicated

I'm using Messages app on my MBP, sending texts to my daughters who have iPhones. They both tell me that they often get duplicate messages, not all the time, but quite frequently. I can find no similarities or patters between when they get a duplicate and when they don't, it apparently happens quite randomly. I also text my sons and husband (who do not {gasp!} have iPhones) and they have never received a duplicate text. Sometimes messages are sent with SMS and sometimes with iMessage - but there is no connection between that and when they report a duplication.
Any help or suggestions? Their complaints are turning into whines.

I sometime get this.
Today for instance it snowed during the night (about 2" - south of England snow seen about twice each year)
I ride a motor bike to work.
Today though I left the house early 7.00 AM) thinking the snow would be broken up by the traffic.
Instead it got pressed smooth and icy.
My wife text (SMS) me as I got to work to check I had got there and I replied SMS.
I also SMSed my son who leave later giving him a description of the roads.
When I got Home this evening I got an iMessages copy on my iPhone from my son.
I later got the one from my wife as well.
When I turned on the Mac I got both the SMS and the iMessages from my son.
However I don't see the versions sent from my iPhone.
This all took place over nearly 12 hours (Mac Pic)
It has obviously varied when I have iMessages access (At home only)
It has also varied when my wife has had no WiFi Access (the last message).
So there can be a whole range of changes at either end that can cause this.
Some of it relates to the number of devices that can get iMessages that might be Off line which the iMessages server will store the iMessages for.

Messages duplicating sent links

Have tried to search the support forums to see if anyone else has this problem, no luck finding anything.....
Using Messages (beta) with OS X 1.7.5 Lion, and basically whenever I IM a link to anyone, they get it duplicated, making it return a 404 error when they click on it.......example below:
I send: http://www.exampleurl.com
They get: http://www.exampleurl.comhttp://www.exampleurl.com
This happens no matter what IM client the recipient uses, but most (not all) of them use Yahoo Messenger.
Has anyone else had this problem and (hopefully) found a fix for it?

I only have one Yahoo account so I cannot do a round robin test with myself on another computer.
I have not heard of this either.

Within my address book contacts, phone numbers and-or addresses are duplicated at random.

I use several Macbook and Iphones but am very carefull to use only one addressbook on the macs as the source for all changes, I am using I cloud now but suddenly, totally at random, contacrs have disappeared, lost all info except the phone number, or WITHIN the contact file (the "card) the address or phonenumbers are duplicated.
I have a last copy of the most recent address book om my mac and would like to "clean -up" this mess.
Any advice?? And what is the correct procedure to sync contacts on all devices?

Funny that somebody "bumped" this because we've run into the same problem with my wife's iphone 3GS, mainly in using Bump and also Mover. I send her a contact this way from my iPhone and it arrives safe and sound. But it never gets into her contacts database. However--it does show up in Spotlight searches. This is in fact the only way to find it. Since I sent it several times it shows up several times, but only once with the Contacts icon next to it.
Anybody have any ideas? We are also using MobileMe, for whatever that is worth.

Seeing double - Buttons duplicating themselves on iPad

For some reason, whenever I convert any element inside a MSO (hidden or visible state) into a button, it will show up double on the iPad, and somewhat offsetted to the top and right.
This is happening with both CS5.5 and 6, and DPS V22. It all looks fine desktop content viewer, and only happens on the iPad.
For now, I just place an invisible object the button, and make that the actual button, but it's pretty annoying, and forces me to have redundant objects.
It seems like a similar problem to the one described here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4592301#4592301, only that it affects all buttons, not just text frames. I use pixels as the document units
Is there any workaround?

Undeliverable Messages Coming Back Randomly

Just in the last week, we've had a handful of users receive bounce back messages saying they were not delivered. Generally, it will tell you what the issue is (user does not exist, attachment too large, etc.) but this one is no help. It is happening to internal
and external emails. If the user gets the bounce back, closes Outlook, reopens Outlook and then tries sending it, it seems to go through. Below is the error in the Undeliverable reply. I don't see any errors in the Event Viewer on the Exchange Server. I've
rebooted it but we're still having it occur.
