Messages failure to send but still goes through

I hope someone can help. This is a tough subject to search for since it's similar to other known issues but somewhat different as best i've found.
A few days ago i started getting 'messaged failed to send' notifications from my phone after sending an imessage. That has happened before, but this time the message was also delivered (and not via text).
The problem persists across my macbook (10.8.5) and my ipad. Each time the message shows as 'delivered' and then a failure notice or icon appears. Sometimes after i've received a response from the person regarding the message i just sent.
It's somewhat annoying because it causes my phone to buzz each time i'm warned, and doesn't inspire confidence because at some point a message will fail.
I've tried restarting all my devices and i've also tried turning messages off and on from my phone and with no luck.

Doublechecking before proceeding. Is it saying the older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed, or some other program? (Several different program names can be mentioned in this context.)

I know that this would concern me just the same and we want to make sure that your device is connected and receiving these notifications when available. How long have you been having this issue? Are you receiving a specific error message when sending a message? Are you aware if this happens in one location specifically or everywhere you go? Does the issue with messaging occur with all numbers? Share some details, so that we may assist.

I am getting iMessage "not delivered" error message even though my iMessages are going through. how do I fix?

I am using iOS 7.0.4 and recently when using iMessage, I am getting undeliverable error messages whenever I send an iMessage. This occurs regardless of whether I'm using my iPhone, iPad or MacBook. The thing is, the messages are still going through. The attached screenshot was taken from a friends device who is getting the same messages and obviously receiving them.

Yep, same boat... And while I used to get messages simultaneously on my iPad and iPhone, it seems my iPhone is the only one receiving and it's not syncing convos like it was.
The undeliverable thing is HUGE though and driving my Apple family crazy!!
Any news on when we can expect an update to fix it?

I was told it was just worn out. So I ordered another Octane from ebay, and it wouldn't connect to the internet. I was told by Verizon that the software had been changed. So I ordered a NEW in Box Octane and I am having trouble with that too. Bing won't work, nothing will work that will enable me to download Verizon Opera mini that still works on my old phone. RV042G FTP still goes through WAN1

I have created a protocol binding rule and even a bandwidth rule to make sure outgoing FTP needs to go through WAN2 interface.
But it still goes through WAN1, it only works when I disconnect WAN1

Try binding all ports Filezilla uses or whatever your FTP program that you're using.

That WON'T convert it.
If I do the same with an MP3 and change the extension to JPG, it DOESN'T make it a picture. It makes it unusable.
Change it back to AVI and download "Handbrake". http://handbrake.fr/
Use HandBrake to "convert" it to M4V.

That's usually a symptom of a phone that was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.

TS2755 Messages begin to send but don't complete going through ever(no matter how long I wait). Occasionally whe I send a message it does go through with no problem

How can I get my messages to complete sending. They start to send and stop just before completing.

1. Go to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive and sign out off your apple id.
2. Then turn off imessage in Settings > Messages
3. Restart your phone.
4. Turn on imessage
5. Then Sign back into Messages with your apple id.
That should fix your problem.

Fraffic still goes through my ISP instead of VPN

I have set up my VPN on OSX Server.
I'm connecting with PPTP. It looks like I connect ok, The internet connect window tells me I'm connected, and the counter is working, but my internet traffic is still going over the local ISP. For example, when I'm at a hotel, I can connect to the internet, but I've got to change my e-mail settings in order to send out e-mail... It's a reap pain, so I hope to set up VPN, connect via that and then send e-amils through VPN with out having to change my e-mail settings.
However, it appears that I'm connected to VPN, when I look at network settings, it shows that I'm connected through BOTH VPN and Airport.
How do I tell my Powerbook to send traffice either for web browsing or e-mail to use the VPN connection?

we are each reading it a bit different..
Here is the bit I am reading. Even this is worded a bit wrong.. to suggest two devices are on the same port.. but I think we can read the two devices are plugged into the same AE.
hence any device connected to the Gibabit ethernet port of my airport extreme communicating with another device connected at the same airport extreme Gibabit ethernet port would actually go at very low speed ?
If two devices on a local lan are plugged in by ethernet to the same device.. then all local traffic should remain in the switch chip of the device.. in this case the Gigabit AE.. The actual processor of the AE should not even see that traffic.. that is what switch chips do.. they can handle local MAC addresses and all traffic between the devices is handled purely on the switch. The computers would need to pull DHCP via the main router.. and that will go at 100mbit but the amount of data is trivial..and obviously all internet traffic goes out via the slower gateway.. but that is not a problem because internet is normally much slower again.
To change the scenario slightly,
If the second computer was plugged into the main router which is 100mbit.. then all traffic between the two computers would be slowed to the 100mbit.. Because it is no longer contained on the single gigabit switch of the AE.

Emails appearing as sent, but not going through

Hi all, yesterday I realised that several emails I sent from my iphone on my BTInternet account at around 3pm yesterday (UK time) did not go through. They appear in the "Sent items" on my iphone, and there is no error or indication that they were not sent. However, they don't appear in sent items on web mail, and they did not get sent because one of them was sent to myself as a reminder on something, and it never came through. Also there was no blind copy even though the iphone is set to blind copy everything back to me.
I have done some tests this morning and emails I sent this morning seem to be going through fine.
I have looked at the emails in the sent items on my iphone and the send to addresses in them are all correct. I also just forwarded one of them again to myself, and now it works.
I'm worried if emails can just disappear and not be sent without any indication or error message - I only realised there was an issue because one of them happened to be sent to myself so I knew to expect it.
Are there any issues like this going on at the moment and can I do anything about it?

This started happening this morning. Whenever I try to send a text, whether it be a regular text or iMessage, I keep getting a message saying "Message Failed To Send," and then it has a red exclamation point by the message and it says "Not Delivered." If that's not annoying enough, the recipients are actually receiving the message 6 times! Is anyone else having this issue? I'm using a [brand new] iPhone 5S on AT&T service, if that matters. I'm about to throw this iPhone at the wall... HELP!

Throwing it at the wall will certainly stop it from sending the message six times, along with everything else. First thing to do is reset the phone, following the procedure outlined below.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Emails are send. but still some emails are present in OUTBOX

we have a issue in our infrastructure for few users. the emails are send and shows in send items. but still we can see emails in outbox (not all of them). this is utilizing the mailbox space. any idea how this issue arrived and its fix

In case it's caused by a corrupted data file, please run Scanpst.exe to fix the data file to check the result.

If you are using an .ost file, you can simply rename/remove it, then Outlook will generate a new one next time it starts.
Some corrupted or hidden rules may also cause this problem, you can use MFCMAPI to find and delete these rules to check the result:

Addendum
Sending straight from the mail client in any/all of the Yahoo accounts works just fine. The bug just seems to happen when sending links from Safari.

I cannot recieve I messages from other people. My friends have tried sending it to my mobile number and it will not go through to my phone. I can I message them, but it goes through as my email(AppleID), not my mobile number.

I have reset my phone, logged out and back into my AppleID, and have been searching for answers and nothing seems to be the solution. Please help! I am worried I am not getting important messages from other people.

Well, All they ( your friends ) have to do is to add your email address with which you can and will send them iMessages to your contact in their Phone.
Then they will be able to send you iMessages through your email address ( in your case Apple ID )
Also I'm not sure for iPHone 4s, but I think in the iMessage settings you can choose how can people send you iMessages, by phone number or you can also list a few email addresses and choose one as primary. ( this is confirmed on iPhone 5 or later )
