Messages get garbled

Once in a while the body of my messages in my inbox get "garbled", meaning the messages all look like http code and can't be read. And the code in one doesn't seem to necessarily match the message - inside one could be referencing a different message. It only happens in one of my email accounts, the other is fine. And it only happens when I restart my computer after a long while.

You are seeing signs of corruption. You can repair the problem by right clicking the folder and selecting '''Properties'''. Then '''Repair Folder'''.
'''Be prepared to lose some messages if the corruption is too bad.'''

  • Mail message gets garbled... but only when sent with attachment to Android?

I'm getting heat from my employer because I use a Mac and he doesn't (I use an iPhone and he uses an Android, see the consistency??). Regardless. When I send an email with windows-friendly attachment, he receives it fine on his PC, but on his Android, the message is garbled (attachment fine). If I log in via Safari to DeskPilot (our corporate email client) and send the same message and attachment, all is fine. Oh, and if we really want to get odd, a co-worker does the same thing and his message comes though empty, not garbled.
Ideas, thoughts? This is causing a major migraine for me.
    Thanks very much!

Perhaps I should have been a little bit clearer why I want to be able to send mail via my local mail/postfix system: I have several servers set up on my iMac, in particular:
        apache
        trac
I want these servers to be able to send mail to, e.g.,
        webmaster@localhost
        root@localhost
        trac@localhost
I have created aliases for these addresses in:
        /etc/postfix/aliases
(I have also executed "newaliases"). These aliases all point to my own user account on the same machine (my iMac).
Finally, I have a .forward file at the root level of my OS X account that forwards all local Unix mail to my normal e-mail account handled by my ISP.
This way, all local mail sent to "webmaster2, "root", "trac", etc., should be sent to my normal e-mail address that I monitor with Mail.app.
*This all worked perfectly with Mac OS X 10.4.x,* so I know it should be possible. However, I have only now just tried to set this up 10.5.x (Leopard) and, clearly, I am having problems.
Perhaps this motivation for wanting to send e-mail via the Unix mail system will help others understand my situation, and I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks very much in advance.

  • Messages getting corrupted in IMAP (gmail)

i use Gmal IMAP, and have a lot of different folders/tags. All my messages come into a single inbox, and i can read them fine in mail.app.
After reading, when I then drag the message into the appropriate folder/tag for filing in mail.app, it shows a little spinning sync symbol next to folder name and then finishes. I then go about my business.
Later in the day I click on that folder/tag from earlier. When i go to view the message i just filed previously, it shows the message all garbled. the attachments show as text, i have no headers, it shows the raw info for text encoding, etc.
If i go to gmail.com the message appears fine. Its only garbled in the folder/tag after filing.
I then have to open up the message in Finder, and delete, and then quit/restart mail, select the message again and allow it to re-download. then it appears fine.
    what is causing this?
how can i fix this? it happens to about 50% of my messages, and is getting quite bothersome since i am using this for work. if i dont fix it and go somewhere without an internet connection then i wont be able to read/see attachments,
i dont want to change back to POP, as i need my iphone to be able to sync properly with the fgiled messages for easy searching when im away from computer.

I'll chime in here to say that it affects me too.
Using gmail and mail ActOn to move messages around in mail.app. I'll start trying to see if I can make the corruption happen without using ActOn. I didn't have this problem in 10.4; and I only spent a week with 10.5 so I don't remember it happening then.
How do you identify the messages in the the finder for deleting so they can be re-downloaded? I've been accessing my corrupted attachments through gmail's web interface, so your work around would be easier than mine, assuming there is an easy way to find the right message.

  • ABAP Server Proxy: Message getting blocked in R/3 Application system

    Dear All,
We have developed a FILE->XI->SAP R/3 (WAS 620) interface using ABAP Server proxies. Message gets successfully transferred to R/3 system using proxies but is getting stuck in inbound queues with green flag and message <b>"message scheduled(commit follows)"</b>. In queue it displays status as <b>"CPICERR"</b> with description <b>"connection closed(no data)"</b>. When trying to execute LUW manually from queue it throws message <b>"Target system/gateway not active"</b>. I've checked queues they are registered properly, SLDAPICUST, SLDCHECK & Integration Engine Configuration checks are successful.
Can you please provide your valuable inputs?
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Prashant Rajani

    Hi Stefan,
I am doing a submit to another report from ABAP proxy which inturn updates data in respective tables. Whether still commit work is required after submit?
The code was tested succesfully in Dev and in QA it started giving this problem.
Please let me know if we are missing on something.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Why do receivers of my text messages get them mixed with messages I have sent them in the past?

The hardware is an iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1 with a capacity of 16GB (14.0GB). Currently I have 1.8GB available memory. The phone has never been jailbroken and no external accessories have ever been attached to it.
    The problem:
Some of the receivers of my text messages have recently told me that a number of my text messages are coming in a little jumbled up. Apparently the message I had just sent gets concatenated with a past message or various past messages. The order where the past message gets mixed is not always the same - sometimes it's in front of what I have typed and sometimes it's in the end but in all cases inserting the past message also deletes parts of the message I typed. Furthermore when checking the thread there seems to be nothing wrong and the messages are shown in the same way I have typed them rather than how the receiver got them.
    The question:
I have tried to see if other users on the same carrier, from the same locations as myself had the same problems as myself on other systems. I have checked Symbian, BB, Android and the older type of non smart phones and I have found no one with this problem. This rules out the carrier completely.
I would like to know if this is a problem which requires intervention by Apple or if it something I can fix myself. I have reinstalled the iOS5.1.1 yesterday but the problem seems to stay. I have turned the phone off and on a couple of times but it was in vain. I have also turned the phone off by holding the home and the standby buttons, but the problem seems to stay.
Any help would be very appreciated. I do not find any objection if I have to take my phone back to the official seller but if it something I can handle myself I would save them the hassle.
    Thank you in advance.
    Dan

Its because you are sending them as iMessages and not SMS.
If you want to turn iMessage off, go to settings, messages and turn it off.

  • Messages getting stuck in SMQ2

Messages get stuck in SMQ2 with the Error msg "SQL error on database occurred when accessing a table".
This is happening on PI system 7.11 SP04 with Max DB version 7.7.06.07.
This typically happens when sending messages from one BPM to another although it has more of a random pattern.
A corresponding dump is also seen in ST22.
The dump details are as below:
    Runtime error : DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    Exception : CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Database error text : Invalid numeric value for parameter/column (10)
    Internal call code : "[RSQL/UPDT/SWFRXIHDR ]"
Any help is highly appreciated in resolving this issue.
    Regards,
    Murali Narayanan

    > Runtime error : DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    > Exception : CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    > Database error text : Invalid numeric value for parameter/column (10)
I would update the kernel (plus the database interface library lib_dbsl) to the latest patchlevels and try again. If the error persists I'd upgrade the database to the latest patchlevel. If it still doesn't work I'd open an OSS call (BC-DB-SDB).

  • Message getting stuck in XBQO queue - Time limit exceeded

    Hi All,
We have a BPM scenario in our project (on PI 7.0 SP18), where bundle of PEXR2002 Payment IDocs are received as a single flat file. This file is then consumed by the BPM, to split the message into multiple payments using Java Mapping.
However, when we get an IDoc file of size greater than 5 MB (more than 500 IDocs), the message gets stuck in XBQO queue and eventually giving a SYSFAIL with the message "Time limit exceeded". Could you please let us know if you have encountered a similar issue and are aware of a possible solution.
Any pointers to this will be really appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    ROSIE SASIDHARAN

    H Rosie,
    1)  Goto SXMB_ADM-> Integration Engine Configuration->Parameter  EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT->possible values 0 - 2,097,151 (KB)
The parameter EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT enables serial processing of messages of a particular size. This applies for messages with the quality of service Exactly Once (EO). If the message is larger than the parameter value, the message is processed in a separate queue.
    2)  Goto SXMB_ADM-> Integration Engine Configuration->Parameter  HTTP_TIMEOUT->possible values n Seconds, where n is a whole number.
The parameter Specifies the timeout for HTTP connections (time between two data packages at line level). This value overrides the system profile parameter icm/server_port_n (for example, icm/server_port_0 : PROT=HTTP, PORT=50044, TIMEOUT=900). If you do not set the parameter HTTP_TIMEOUT or if you set the parameter to 0, then the setting for the system profile parameter is used.
See SAP Note 335162  for sysfail issue....
      Hope these will help u....

  • Messages getting stuck in QRFC Queue

    Hi,
Today I noticed that a message had gotten stuck with the status "Sheduled for Outbound Processing" (scenario IDOC->XI->File), XI 3.0 SP11.
This in turn had the effect that the whole QRFC queue got stuck, and all following messages got stuck with status "Sheduled".
I had to remove the first message from the queue manually so that XI could start to purge the other messages from the queue.
What could be the reason for the first messages getting stuck with this status ("Sheduled for Outbound Processing")?
The message was very small, just a couple of lines. One thing that comes into mind, is that XI received 4 IDOCS for the same interface, within one second. These 4 messages were assigned to different queues, but one of them got stuck. Could there be problems with XI when several messages arrive on the same interface within a very short time?
Is it possible to use Alerts to detect this kind of problem in the future? As I have understood, Alerts only handle XI "errors", but according to XI, this message did not have an "error status", it just had the status "Sheduled for Outbound processing"..
    Thanks for any help,
    Hans

    Hi,
If the message got struck in Queue, you try to activate the queues in smq2 to reprocess the data instead of deleting it. This is the final solution. But you should able to see a dump in ST22 for this problem.
    thanks,
    sasi

  • Messages getting stuck in tcp_local Channel

    Hi All
    Version
    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.01 (built Jun 24 2004)
    libimta.so 6.1 HotFix 0.01 (built 12:52:04, Jun 24 2004)
    SunOS dakota 5.9 Generic_112233-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V440
    Background
In the last week we've been experiencing problems with outgoing messages getting stuck in our tcp_local channel. They can stay for up to 4 hours before dequeuing. We plan to install Patch 116568 which is the latest core patch for our version of the Messaging Server.
To date we haven't experienced any DNS problems and have not made any configuration changes.
However I was just wondering if anyone had come across this type of problem before? We're hoping the patch will resolve the issue but would be interested in other alternatives.
    Thanks in advance
    Paul

You'll have to do more research before I can offer help. . .
It's not unusual for some messages to be retried, and depending on the destination, that may take a while.
Some outside domains are always slow. If you have many messages queued for such outside domains, they can involve the whole server, and cause mails to queue up behind them.
Many installations create a new channel, such as, "tcp_slow", and use rewrite rules to move messages addressed to these domains (aol, hotmail, earthlink, etc.) into this separate channel. You can "tune" that channel differently, and messages there won't block tcp_local.

  • After writing into serial port, the same message gets bounced back into the Inqueue also. If anyone know how to avoid this, please rpely.

    Hi,
After writing into serial port, the same message gets bounced back into the Inqueue also. If anyone know how to avoid this, please reply.
    Thanks,
    Ganesh

If you disconnect the cable going to the serial device, do you still get the echo? If so you have something going on in the port setup. If disconnecting the cable stops the echo then the device you're talking to is doing it - which would be my bet. One thing to check is whether this might not be normal operation. I have seen devices that if a command was successful, it simply echo'd back the command string you had sent. Also many serial devices have setting for specifying whether they are to echo commands.

  • Message getting cut off when using carkit

While using my 5800 and OVI Maps with my Nokia CK-100 carkit nagigation messages get cut of at the start (vey annoying).
"In the next roundabout..." becomes "e next roundabout".
    "After 200 meters..." becomes "r 200 meters".
    And so on...
Seems likie the phone starts sending the audio before the carkit has switched on the audio (there is a relay saying "click" :-)
Is there anything that can be done about this?
Like a small pause before the voice message is played (1/2 second silence at the start of the message)?
Also when the message is done playing the radio mute is on for a LONG while before radio switches back on. Why?

  • Possiblity of message getting lost

I am using JCAPS 5.1.2. We have an interface where multiple calls are made at the same time to a particular JMS queue. The connection mode of the JMS queue was connection consumer mode and it frequently used to bring down the integration server. We have changed the connction mode of the JMS queue to serial mode which have bring stability to the integration server.
My query is , Is there any chance of any message getting lost from the queue, especially when multiple messages are being sent to the queue at the same time while in the serial mode?

This question really needs to be answered by a Java CAPS expert. I suggest you ask it in the Sun Java CAPS forum at

  • Message: Get Adobe Flash player

I have a Satellite L755-S5244.  I purchased the laptop this past summer.  In the past month or two I have had problems with my flash player.  When I go to certain webpages, I'm instructed that either my Java script is turned off, or I am running an older version of flash player.  Where two months ago I could watch videos & download audio from certain web pages, now I receive the message "get adobe flash player"
I followed the directions for checking that my Java Scipt is enabled, & I've downloaded a new flashplayer.  When I re-try opening the web page, I get the same instructions as mentioned above.
Any suggestions on what has changed?
    Thanks, bobbio

What browser are you using? If it's not IE you may need the plugin.

  • Email messages get auto selected as I scroll

I seem to have accidently turned on some setting, as a result of which when i scroll through the message/email list, all messages get selected. Options available at this point are - Mark Messages Opened; Mark Messages UnOpened; or Delete Selected messages.
I am unable to open any single message because of the auto selection. Can someone please help with how to turn off this setting?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You likely have your SHIFT key depressed, which when depressed will select consecutive messages.
Click the Escape (right of the trackball) key to unselect any messages.
And make sure the Shift key is not pressed, and scroll again.
    Any luck?
If still the same, do this -- With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
