Messages Holding in MDT

We have 2000 messages in the MDT of our test system that show "Holding". We checked for any older messages that could be holding these up but none exist. We tried to cancel the holding messages but get the standard error "Unable to cancel X of X messages; update the status".
We would like to just clear these out, but manually trying to kill them in MDT doesn't work. We also checked for any failures in sxmb_moni and in the queues but everything looks clean. We tried the cancel/delete programs but they don't appear to clear holding messages in MDT.
When I checked the engine status it shows that the receiver service for these messages with errors has an EOIO Backlog of around 2000 messages.
Any thoughts?

Earlier we tried to cancel the message with the lowest Seq. ID, but we get the following error:
Unable to cancel 1 of 1 messages; update the status.
We are unable to cancel or resend the message.

I placed the SDA file in the JSPM inbox directory and the JSPM could not detect this file as hotfix. I am getting the following error, it looks like i need to use the Netweaver developer stuido to deploy the SDA files.
I am getting the following error even after placing the sda file in the respective directory.

PI 7.1 How to delete Messages Holding in RWB

Hi Team,
Its regarding messages with HOLDING status in RWB. I have seen blogs how to process EOIO messages.
But in my case , I have more than 10000 messages in HOLDING status . Though it is DEV box i dont want to process all those messages, which belongs to diff scenarios and yrs old messages.
1) I want to delete all those entries (Dont want to process again) from JAVA queues .
2) in PI 7.1 RWB -> In config table , I didnt find "Conversion ID" , but I can see Sequence number . Is this Conversion ID renamed ? OR How can I find JAVA QUEUE name.
3) Whats the process to clear entries in JAVAQUEUES .

Quality of the service is EOIO the messge are structed in Adopter engine and integration engine.
Adopter engine in the sence holding status
Integration engine means NDLV status.
you saying HOLDING satus.....
Did u find any error mesage in messaging system monitoring tool.
if u find any sys error message... delet the that error and do refress. it will process. one error message will strucked all message.
holding means the message are strucked. it will process slowly.just find any error are there.

HI,
The Messages in adapter engine are based on the retention period mainatined.
Go to Visual Admin > Server 0 > Services > SAP XI Adapter: XI
On the right you would have two parameters:
1) xiadapter.inbound.persistDuration.default
2) xiadapter.outbound.persistDuration.default
The values of these parameters are in milleseconds.

Errors in Message Display Tool (MDT) in Message Monitoring view of RWB

Hi mates,
Issue #1
When I select the message processed by an Adapter engine and click on 'Details' button, MDT window pops up and has three tabs. When I click on the tab 'Message Content' (which normally shows SOAP envelope and actuall payload) I get an error 'Content of message deleted to save memory'. I can see the content in other two tabs, Message Data and Audit Log properly though.
Whats wrong/missing? Plz clarify.

When I select the message processed by an Integration engine and click on 'Details' button, MDT window pops up and has four tabs.
When I click the the tab 'Message Content', I get cpl of warning messages 'SSO logon not possible; logon tickets not activated on the server' & 'No switch made to HTTPS; so it is unsafe to send your password'.
It gives someother info 'Choose "Log on" to continue A dialog box appears, where you can enter your user and password' When I click 'log on' and key in user credentials, it doesnot accept the correct values and after repeated attempts it says 'Either client, name, or password is incorrect; repeat logon' and doesnt show any payload.
Whats wrong/missing? Plz help me out.

My file from the reciever file adapter gets written properly, but i see following logs in MDT , marked in bold are the failures before the msg processing is complete. Any clues wht might be going wrong?

Okay, here's a couple of ideas. The "unqualified hostname" issue is because you need your fully qualified hostname (system with the complete domain name) in your /etc/hosts. For example:
23.134.30.20 mysystem mysystem.mydomain.com
I'm not familiar with the other errors. Have you configured your /etc/resolv.conf yet? It should look like:
domain mydomain.com
nameserver [IP of first DNS Server]
nameserver [IP of redundant DNS Server]
Also, make sure your /etc/nsswitch.conf is setup correctly.

Error message 'hold down the power button'

Hi there, i was just sat with my macbook pro on my lap, surfing the web, when all of a sudden a grey filter filled the screen with a message telling me to 'hold the power button and turn it on again'.
But whats unsual is my sister got the same message whilst we were skyping earlier this afternoon.
I'm on a 15" macbook pro unibody running 10.6 snow leopard and she's on a 13" white macbook running 10.5 i think. Anyone else have this problem or know what it could be?
I've turned it back on and everything seems to be running okay! Any help is appreciated.

If the message is one that comes up in several languages, that's called a kernel panic. They are usually, but not always, caused by hardware, with memory the leading hardware contributor. If you do a 'skype mac kernel panic' query on google, you'll find a number of hits, which may be the problem causing the kernel panic on your sisters system.
If you have your original OS X disks, you might run the Apple hardware test to see if it finds anything unusual. Find the gray OS X disk that says 'AHT Version x.x' in small print on the label (may be the application installation disk). Insert and reboot holding the D key down, or reboot holding the alt/option key, and choose the Apple hardware test. Choose the extended test when prompted. If it says everything is OK, I wouldn't think about it anymore unless you start getting them more often.

After installing Maverick I can no longer highlight multiple emails the same way in orden out my mailbox I highlight a message,hold down my mouse and drag my cursor to highlight more messages. I click "delete" & they go to trash. How do I do this again?

After installing Maverick on my 2011 MacBookPro I can no longer highlight multiple emails in the same manner. To clean out my Inbox I highlighted a message, held my mouse down & dragged my cursor down through all the messages I wanted to delete (or move to another mailbox, or other functions) highlighting as many messages as I wanted. I then clicked "delete" & they went to trash. Such a great way to clean out a lot of messages at once. Can I and/or how do I do this again? Or is this something Maverick has eliminated? I also hate that "Notes" is no longer on the Mail page, but this is not as important. Help!!

Put differenltly, if I can drag select multiple items and objects on my desktop, which I can, using my Kensington Track Ball (which has an enabled updated software driver in place, so I don't think there's a problem there), why can't I click-drag-multipleselect emails in mail like I have *always* been able to? Really, what is the problem here? Why is that no longer possibler? I'm not a coder, but I can't believe this isn't fixable. Here, Apple should be ashamed of itself, regardless of the fact that there's an easy work around. When I have to alter the way I have been doing something for years and have to waste time learning something new and complaining about it -- like right now! -- and there's no good technical reason, and I bet there isn't, then Apple has simply failed.

How to convert MDT scenario RPT0 to launchpad

I'm trying to turn on the reporting launchpad in MSS. I am trying to use the delivered scenario of RPT0 and I've added a new tcode function to it. When I run the IMG step "Convert MDT Data to MSS Reporting Launch Pad" I get the message that no MDT entries are found.
Why is it not finding the RPT0 entries? Is there an additional config step I'm missing? Also, I'm not sure if this relates to this issue, but the IMG step under MSS for setting up the launchpad does not exist in our system. I can't seem to find what activates it but I'd appreciate input on this if you've seen it before. I can get to tcode FPB_LP_MSS_REP_CUST if I enter it manually.

The URL of PCD matches the object ID of the iview details.
If I run PWPC_RPT_START_REPORT_TEST for Scenario RPT0 and Function Code MSS_HOME, it runs for a second, but then nothing happens and the screen does not change. If I only enter a scenario, RPT0, and run it I get "error when executing function".
I have used FPB_LAUNCHPAD_CUST to update MSS / REP and add tcodes SU01, CAT3, and S_PH9_46000221 as well as a URL for google.com for testing. The URL link gives a page cannot be displayed message and the tcodes give me a portal runtime error /exception message. Here is part of the message:

Messages going in "To Be Delivered" Mode in RWB

Hello Experts,
Your urgent help needed...
Right now i m suffering from a big problem....
I m sending messages from SAP to Oracle via XI.
for all the messages I am getting acknowledgement back... but if sometimes i will get acknowledgement as "Acknowledgement contains system error" then after that all the messages starts going into "To Be Delivering mode".
After that i used to Restart the server itself and then after 2-3 hrs. suddenly all messages will go into success...
Please tell me what might be the cause... and how to over come this problem...

I hv already checked SMQ1, SMQ2 but no messages are there....
In SXMB_MONI it is showing all the messages as success but in RTW->MDT it is showing messages as "To Be Delivered"

We have also been experiencing this problem (for a week) with messages stuck in MDT RTW in status "Delivering", for first 20-30 messages and then eventually in "System Error" for the other ones. We keep re-starting XI (both stacks) to push the messages to IS, but need to find a real solution.
SAP support has not been prompt to help, although we opened status high customer message.
This is inbound transaction coming via RNIF 2.0 XI 3.0, not a new system; it has been running last two years.
Will be grateful for any suggestions on how to fix this problem.
I presume it is tunning issue, but where to start?

Duplicate messages appear in Inbox

I've read all that I can find from other similar problems, but I've found none that describes my problem and none that identifies a (safe) solution.
This morning, on two independent computers (iMac G5 OSX 10.5.5 & MacBook 3.1 OSX 10.5.4) I received duplicate emails for every email in my Inbox for the preceding month, but not for today! That meant that my Inbox (on both computers) appeared to have over 1,000 unread emails.
There are no such duplicates on the server (bellsouth.net).
I've read about a Script that someone generously offered to "delete duplicate emails" but it apparently can cause more problems than it solves.
How did this happen?
How do I avoid it in the future?
How do I remove the duplicates on both computers?

Although I still do not know why the duplicates appeared or how to avoid it in the future, I found a fairly simple method to remove the duplicate emails FOR MY CASE. This may not work for others with similar, but different related problems.
Anyway, it appears that the "new" duplicate emails were assigned a new "number" and they are sequential. In menu select "View" then "Columns" then Number.
Then click on the "#" column to arrange the messages in order of their "Number."
Then find the range of numbers that encompass the offending and duplicate email messages. (My situation showed over 1,000 sequential messages).
Select one extreme end of the range (highlight it in the upper window). Scroll to the other end of the range of offending messages, hold down the "Shift" key to highlight all messages between the two extremes.
Then click on the "Delete" button.
Voila. It's like excising a tumor with good, clean margins.
In my case (and I hope yours), all of the duplicate messages are gone.

RFC receiver channel, message not reflecting in Receiver ECC system

Hi All,
We are using Receiver RFC adapter to call a custom RFC (ASynchronous call). It was working fine, But now after we made a few changes in the mapping. The message is successful in PI, but it is not visible in ECC. When I check in RWB, I think the payload is not going correctly to ECC. I have re-imported the RFC and tried as well. It still does not work.

Messages are not displayed in sxi_monitor transaction

my scenarios are working fine, I verified with a file->XI->file scenario where a file is picked up from FTP and output file is created in target FTP site.
But I dont see the messages relevant in the sxi_monitor, what could be the problem that monitor does not show processed messages.
FYI, I can see the relevant message in the message displaying tool(MDT)

Warning Message after repairing disk permissions

I received the following warning after running Repair Disk Permissions:
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
My computer has been crashing a lot. Apple ran hardware tests and everything appears to be running OK. Could this message hold the key to my problems?

However it would be very beneficial if you provide more information about the circumstances and specifications of your iMac to determine why it's crashing. Also if you are running Activity Monitor to check and see how much FREEE RAM you have and if there are any processes taking up a lot of % CPU.
