Messages internal error occurred?!

Hi guys! I am getting some weird messages errors lately (fot the last 1 hour) it says "An internal error occurred. you need to quit and reopen messages again". I quit and rebooted messages and my MBP retina but no luck. 2 or 3 times messages asked for my apple ID password and when i logged in successfully, same error msg again. what is the prob? Im really considereing completely erasing every of my macbook and trying to set it up again. my major concern is the fact that my MBP is only 4-5 months old! i bought it in april 2013 and im already getting these issues.
Ive been having quite a few other problems and its driving me crazy. if you can help to solve some more of those issues, then look as some of my others posts.
And another question. I've been getting some really horrible battery performance (as mentioned in another one of my questions). and when i looked through something like 100 different answers on this site and MacForums, i think that the prob is either something to do with Mountain Lion (i have 10.8.4) or with the fact that the battery may be faulty. so any suggestions on whehter is should take it so an apple store of wait for a mountain lion fixwould be welcome bc i dont have Apple Care.
any help will be appreciated,
Rohan

Here is a screen shot of the same error that i took about 2 min ago
hope this helps!

  • Error Message: Internal Error Occured

I have been using the same template files for several years now and all of a sudden I started getting the following Error: "An internal error occurred while writing imported graphics to this file. The file was saved but has lost some image data. I have 6 graphics on the reference page, and have replace all 6 but still get this error. By book consists of 8 files but only 2 files seem have this error. The same time this started I also started to get missing font errors, for a font I never had installed on the system.

I searched the forums as you suggested, and can see that there is an issue with SP3. Like many of the others removing SP3 is not an option. I tried to save as a MIF and got the same error. However when I open the Cover.MIF.CC6 file that was created it did grey out the problem graphic (an OLD-2). Was able to save file as fm and recreated the graphic.
I have also noticed and have not been able to fix, since the SP3 install is a font error for one font type Arial Black. All of my files use this font. I have had IT down and they uninstalled and reinstalled the font. The font works fine in other programs, and in the FrameMaker files, but I get a font Error message about missing fonts.

    Hi jennycork,
Please let us know the following:
    - What is the verison of Operating System?
    - What is the version of Adobe Reader you are using?
    - Are you able to launch Adobe Reader (without opening any PDF file) or you get error message?
If you are not able to launch then perform the following:
Right click on the Adobe Reader icon and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility - Try Recommended Settings - Then choose test the program and that is where you will be able to Disable Protected Mode which will fix the program. You can disable Ptroected under: Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > Enable Protected Mode at startup.

  • I just downloaded the Adobe Acrobat DC update on my Mac (Yosemite). Now, I can't open any of my PDFs. I'm getting the message "Internal Error Occurred." What does that mean, and can someone help me?

    HELP!

    Hi Sukrit,
Am also facing the same issue.
I get below error messages when i open a PDF.
    "An internal error occured"
I have installed new windows 7 and i was not having pdf viewer. I just downloaded the latest adobe acrobat reader DC for the adobe site and installed in my PC. Thing is, am able to open some of the PDF files (word document that is converted into PDF). But scanned images for example photo or mark sheets that are converted into PDF, am getting this error message.
    I tired almost everything.
    1) un-installed and installed again.
    2) installed previous version of adobe
    3) unchecked the "Enable, protection mode during startup"
    4) tried setting zero for "bproectmode" in the regedit (key_host_local_machine->adobe->dc> Dword with value 0)
    5) created new administrator account, and even there, i got the same error message.
    6) tried repair installation said by Sukrit...
    But nothing fixed my issue
Please someone help me in fixing this issue.

  • Adobe Reader X / Windows 7: "Internal error occurred"

I installed Adobe Reader X for my Windows 7 OS, but each time I attempt to open it I receive an error message: "internal error occurred." There are two (2) user accounts, but only my user account is affected.

I am having the same problem but I don't think it has anything to do with the permissions or account information. This just started out of nowhere a few weeks ago. I tried installing a few older versions of adobe but I either get the same message, "An internal error occurred." or a different error message. I have attached a screenshot of the error message I keep getting. I also tried running the repair options via the control panel but that did not work. I can't change any settings within the program as each time I try to open it I immediately get the error message. I have uninstalled and installed adobe several times and there is no change.

  • Error message when  trying to connect Classic 120GB to iTunes    An internal error occurred during: "FindSonarTrackJob". java.lang.NullPointerException

When trying to connect to iTunes I get this message
An internal error occurred during: "FindSonarTrackJob".
    java.lang.NullPointerException

I too am having this problem and have had, for about a week now.
I've found that by logging off itunes (if I can), closing it down, and then restarting it, sometimes allows it to work for one transaction (say downloading an updated app). After that it's back to the same error.
    Really annoying.

  • Finally determined what causes an "Internal Error Occurred" message in FW

I use Fireworks for creating wireframes. One FW png file may contain many layers
with each layer representing a web page. The intention is to create the png file, and then to export it to a PDF file so that developers can use it to view the pages and to understand page navigation. I learned this technique by watching Jim Babbage's excellent video on using Fireworks for wireframing.
I create hotspots in the FW png file on one layer and use that to point to another layer that represents another web page. The purpose is to show a kind of flow or extra info for the developers. I've been struggling for over a year with an error that would pop up now and then when attempting to save the png file. The error would show "Internal Error Occurred" and I had no idea why this was occurring. I tried multiple things to get rid of the error and recently I finally discovered what was causing it.
It turns out that if you create a FW png file with layers, and you insert a hotspot that points to one of those layers, and then later when editing the FW png file you decide to delete a layer that is being referenced via a hotspot in a different layer, this error will occur. It doesn't occur every time you attempt to save the png file, but it will occur if you save the png file (no error shown), then export to a pdf file, then (as required by FW) attempt to save the png file again. That's when you will see the error for sure.
The cause is a hotspot link that points to a layer that no longer exists. This is most often caused by creating hotspots that point to the layer, then later deciding to delete that layer but you don't go back and remove any hotspot links to the deleted layer. For some reason, FW will let you attempt to save the file and may or many not show the dreaded "Internal Error Occurred" pop-up message. If you were able to save your png file and didn't see the error show up, and then you decide to export the png file to a PDF file, FW requires you to save the png file after the export option completes. It's when you attempt to save it at this time that it will show up for sure if your hotspot points to a deleted layer. The error message won't go away either.
It's kind of a pain if you have a bunch of layers with a bunch of hotspot links, but you will have to click on each hotspot and determine if it points to a layer that exists in the current png file. If that layer doesn't exist, you will have to point to a layer that does exist, or delete the hotspot to get rid of the "Internal Error Occurred" message.
    Hope this helps,
    Stevebo

After doing further testing, I've noticed that the error can't be reproduced every time a hotspot points to a nonexistent layer. BUT, every time I've encountered the "internal error occurred" message when saving a png file with hotspots and multiple layers, I have found one or more hotspots pointing to layers that no longer exist. Once pointing the hotspot(s) to a layer that does exist, or simply removing the hotspot(s), the "internal error occurred" message goes away.
So in my encounters with this error, finding the hotspot(s) that point to layer(s) that have been removed fixes the problem. The problem is that it doesn't always occur, just sometimes. It may have to do with the number of png files that may be open and the number of layers that exist, or once the error begins showing up. Just not sure, but I am sure of what I need to do to make the error go away in my case (remove hotspots that point to nonexistent layers). So far it's fixed the problem every time.
It would be interesting to see if others encounter this same error and if there is one or more hotspots pointing to deleted layers. It may be that the error message is simply a "catch-all" for errors that can't be determined and this just happens to be one scenario.

  • "Internal Error Occurred" error message when opening from DW

I have tried searching the forums and help for a solution to the error message I am receiving, but have been unable to find a scenario the same as mine.  After I have exported my FW project to HTML and CSS and have opened it in Dreamweaver, when I click on the FW icon in DW to edit it, a few problems occur.  First, it takes a long time to open (compared to the amount of time it takes for my other CS5 applications to open.  Secondly, an error message pops up saying "File could not open. An internal error occured."  However, the file eventually does open and I am able to edit it.  Any solutions on how to fix the problem?

  • Please help! Keep getting error message "an internal error occurred"

    Hello,
I'm trying to install Adobe Reader 10.1 on my macbook, but after (what looks like a successful download of Reader), when I try to open up a pdf I get the message "an internal error occurred." From here I am forced to click "OK" and then I just get a blank screen.
I've tried to unistall and reinstall all Adobe files several times, but always get the same error message.
    Here's what I'm working with:
    Mac OS X - Version 10.5.8
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    Safari - Version 5.0.6
I'm not super-tech savvy, I just need to download this program to be able to use an online training module for school.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
I have had the same problem and ended up spending about 4 working hours resolving it, although I have a master degree in computer science.
The problem is caused by an incompatibility between Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0/7.0 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 10. It is very strange that this error was not discovered during Adobes in-house quality control. I expect such tests should have been performed prior to making new releases, in order to spare problems for users. Also, I would expect better error management in a software product of this calibre. If a missing file ends up causing a crash, one might wonder if there are also security critical flaws in the software related to e.g. parsing PDF documents.
    Problem description:
After agreeing to the license Adobe Acrobat says "An internal error occurred" and crashes. No further information given.
The system log reads ([…].com.adobe.Reader[220]) Exited abnormally: Interrupt
Executing the binary directly from the terminal with -O flag gives no data on standard output. Other crash log reveals no interesting information.
    Solution:
After some investigation, found crash is caused when /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts/AdobeFnt06.lst is accessed.
Hence due to incompatibility between Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0/7.0 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.
The installer/uninstaller should probably have removed the file.
I could delete the above file since I no longer use v6.0/7.0, and the problem was then resolved.
Prior to this I had also deleted some of the com.adobe.* preferences from
    /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences
    /Library/Preferences
    etc.
although I am not sure if this was necessary.
    Hope this helps.
    /Martin
