  • My iPod 5 message isn't working

I've tried logging out of my apple but it still isn't working. I've also reset my ipod and reset the wifi but I can't send or receive messages.. I've also turned off the messages.. It's just not working

    Hi,
It seems like you have done every thing that should have solved your problem. The only thing I can think of is to wait for an ios update. Often there can be gliches in ios software such as your problem with iMesage. They  can then be resolved by a new version of software. So your best option would be to update asap and if the problem is not resolved make an appiontment at your local apple store and get help from the pros. Hope this helps you.

  • My send button on messaging isn't working any help out there?

My send button isn't working, any help?

Hello monti221! Nothing is more frustrating than a phone that's not operating correctly. I want to help! Thank you gina7239 for your valuable input. My suggestion would be to complete a "restore" of your device. Using iTunes will ensure that all of your data is saved. If you need instructions please select the link and select iPhone support.. http://bit.ly/y5iuoj Let me know if this helps!

As suggested try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
Also, it might help if you provide a little more detail on what you mean by "not working"

Messages and Facetime? Did you enable them? Did your addresses active?

  • Group message isn't working

I can only see one person's texts so it seems like she's just talking to herself. I'm the one who made the group for 5 of my friends and me, but I only see one person's texts. We all have iPhones that are either the 4s, 5, or 5s. And my group messaging is on too so I don't know what's wrong. Is it because it's not updated? I'm using the iOS 7.1.1 and haven't updated it yet since I don't have enough space so is that the problem? Or no? If not, then how can I fix it?

I'm not sure about the function, but on my 4S if I go to Settings>Messages and scroll down, there is a heading SMS/MMS and there is a toggle for Group Messaging.
If you are not seeing this in yours, you might want to try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Check to see if you have the setting after that. Note, this will not affect data.

    Your question is not clear
Are you seeing this in iPhoto?  Or in some other application?
What e-mail client are you using in iPhoto?

  • Messages doesn't work with AIM

I've been trying out the beta.  Messages isn't working with AIM (will not connect and stubbornly remains Offline).  It seems to work fine with text chat with other Messages users and no problems with FaceTime either.  But I have some friends on AIM I like to chat with and also a couple of people I sometimes help via screen sharing and it is annoying not to be able to get the AIM part to connect.

Yes,  enabling and disabling the AIM account (sometimes it takes doing it a few times) seems to work.  And I found elsewhere that opening activity monitor and killing off the imagent process (which then automatically relaunches) seems to work as well.  Those workarounds are not permanent solutions for me though.  As soon as the iMac is either restarted or shut down and then turned back on...  Messages seems to be right back at square one with not being able to connect to AIM unless I use the workaround again.  I just hope Apple can figure out what is going on and fix the app before it goes final.

  • Imessaging on my wifes ipad2 isn't working.  It will recieve messages, but when I try to send them to my iphone or my ipad the send button is grayed out and it won't go.

imessaging isn't working on my wifes ipad2.  She can recieve messages from my iphone or my ipad1, but she can't send them.

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

  • My iPhoto isn't working. Error message says "you can't open the app "iPhoto" because it may be damaged or incomplete.

Just purchased a new mac with Mountain Lion installed. My iPhoto isn't working. Error message says "you can't open the app "iPhoto" because it may be damaged or incomplete.

First try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does then make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2:  In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

    Hello, not too helpful, but...
    enum {
      paramErr                      = -50,  /*error in user parameter list*/
Usually means a bvad or unacceptable Charachter in a File or Folder name...

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to open Safari or iTunes.
