Messages keeps turning off in Server 3.1.1

I recently had Messages working just fine in OS X Server 3.1.1. There was a power surge at work and the server restarted and suddenly Message won't stay enabled. Every time I turn the switch to on and click to another service then click back to Messages, it turns itself off. I've had this problem before when I was at version 3.1, but with the update to 3.1.1, it suddenly started working correctly. Now this happens. My office relies on this service to stay in contact.
Is there something I'm missing when it comes to the Messages service? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The one thing I did know about the server side is that the DNS needs to work in both directions but I didn't see it applying here.

Server keeps turning off

My VPS keeps turning off. It happens randomly, sometimes more than once a day, sometimes daily, sometimes weekly. its been happening for a few weeks. Cant see anything in the vps logs, resource use is pretty low most of the time.
VMware gives the following error:

Firefox 3.6.16 has a newer build and release date than Firefox 4.0 does.

My printer keeps turning off, how do I stop it from turning off.

My eprinter keeps turning off and therefore I get error messages that the printer is not ready. How do I make sure the printer never turns off so that I can print from anywhere and not worry about it not printing.

Iphone3g 8gb keeps turning off on standby ????

my phone keeps turning off on stanby have to hold the on button and home button to get it to switch back on has a full charge does it about 5 times a day
any ideas ? but can be fine for a few hours and other times constantly switching off every time a restart it

I too have the same problem.
Reset and re sync does not cure the problem. I think that it must be down to an Apple software update.
I do hope the people at Apple take time to read the posts on the message board and pass the issues raised to the the appropriate team.
It would also be helpful to have acknowledgements posted on the various postings to that effect as then we wont have to keep repeating the same issue!!!!!!!!!!!

File and print sharing keep turning off

I have a thinkpad SL510 with Win Pro installed and for some reason the File and Print sharing checkbox for the Ethernet adapter keeps turning off after I reboot or restart the computer...What do you have to do to prevent this from happening?

are you using Access Connections by any chance?
There is a setting in Access Connections which can influence file and printer sharing. If you look at the profile's further settings, there is an entry for network security, file and printer sharing needs to be activated.
I think this is a great feature of AC as it will override the windows settings, you can choose to allow or block in each profile; e.g. allowed at home, but blocked at the Airport or Hotel.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

IPhone 4S latest software keeps turning off

My iPhone 4S was overheating a week or so ago, I was holding it and it got awfully hot so I put it down and left it for a few hours.
A day ago, it turned itself off out of nowhere, I turned it back on and when I went to use it, it would keep turning off and on and freezing,
Finally today it wont turn on, it gets to the start up part (black with white apple logo) and freezes and wont get any further.

Thanks but all ready tried that.
I took it to apple and its a problem with the latest software update, it wouldn't even let apple run a diagnostics.. It fried the whole thing lol. Caused from the battery so be sure to check your battery guys :)

It's up to the cellular carrier, but I believe most (if not all) will enqueue the messages when your iPhone is off.
So generally speaking, a few minutes after you turn your iPhone on, your messages should display. Similarly, your voicemails would arrive.

Try forcing the phone into recovery mode and restore as a new device.

Doing this will help eliminate any possible software issue that could be causing this. Setting up a new device will bypass a backup with possible data corruption.
If the issue continues after this, you should contact Apple for service for the phone as it will very likely be a hardware issue.

What do you mean it keeps turning off?
Perhaps it's an issue with the headphones. Make sure your headphones are plugged all the way in, meaning there is no silver still showing from the headphone's plug. You should hear a sort of popping/clicking noise when you have fully seated the headphones. If that isn't the case, make sure the headphone jack is clean and clear of debris.

I've checked on the internet that i have to make sure the headphone is plugged perfectly and it's totally plugged but my iPod keeps turning off every second. I also have restored it, when it was restoring it didnt turn off, but when it finished, it started to keep turning off again. May anyone help me to resolve my problem?

If you still not reached 1 year, run to apple store and change it. I have same problem, but during running and stop not often like yours but only one time.
