Messages Log Window - occupy the whole width of the screen

I accidentally "unpinned" my Messages Log Window and although I have managed to redock it, how do I get my Messages Log Window to now re-occupy the whole width of the screen and leave the System and Structure Windows only as Windows that do not occupy the whole width of the screen.

It sounds like you have docked the Log Window on the left-hand side rather than the bottom.
If you click and drag on the Log Window caption bar so that you are over the background area and then move your mouse towards the very top of the Status Bar you should see the Log Window expand to the full screen width that you want.

I'm currently makeing a small mobile page with Edge. I've set the project width to 640px to fit the iphone screen perfectly. However when ioad the page in Safari there are always a few pixels on the right side that are white. Optimally the screen should be fillesd out by default (also if it's used by a phone with another pixel-width). I've tried to work with the persentages to get some responsiveness going on but it just doesn't seem to work. The white pixel strip won't disappear.
Can anyone provide me a solution?

Try setting a meta tag to the HTML page of your project before the <title> tag:
<meta name="viewport" content = "width = device-width, initial-scale = 1 />
This will make it so your page fills to the width of the viewport.

Use of Description and Messages-Log windows in Reports.

Hi All,
I recently started using SQL Developer and found it to be a great tool.
Is it possible to add notes in User Defined Reports? I could see the description textbox but apart from it being there, it doesn't look too much useful. It would be great if one could add hints into the Description area and it gets displayed everytime a report is run.
By the same token, what's the purpose of Messages-Log window while you run a perfectly valid query? Could it be used to display report description?

I was just at a client using ECC 5, and it was fine in that version. It was okay in the production environment, but we had it not encrypt in the testing environments (for the purpose of confirming the testing results of course).

I'm editing a wedding that I shot for a family member but when I play it in the viewing window the top of it is cropped off but I can see the whole image in the project strip. will the whole image transfer when I make a dvd or will it crop the top ?

What version of iMovie are you using?
For 9.09..
If the image is not 720p, you might have to crop it to have freehand control over which bit gets cut off.
How to crop it...
In the project window hover your cursor over a section of the clip in the bottom right corner as seen below:
Click on the cog and open up Cropping,Ken Burns and Rotation.
Click on Crop and drag and set to where you want it to be cropped, then click Done. (Because mine isn't 720p, iMovie automatically makes it so I cannot include the black border. If you do not mind this click Allow Black.)

How to populate the whole path of the button in a field when the button is clicked.

I have around 5 uploads in my file. I kept a hidden field on the header of the form. When ever i click on the upload button, the path of it needs to be populated in the hidden text field.
by using this.parent we can get the parent name of the element.
is there any method similar to the above one to get the whole path of the button????????

Try putting this script in the click event of the button
Hidden_Text_Field_Path.rawValue=this.somExpression;
This ought to work using either FormCalc or JavaScript. I'm not sure from your description whether you will need to use the full path name for the hidden text field or use a relative one, but that's not too hard to deal with.

How to set the column width in the PDF exports of interactive reports ?

Hello,
I have a huge problem with the PDF export for the Interactive reports. I'm using APEX 3.2.
I have to produce a PDF report in landscape format that show 21 columns. My problem is that the columns have a ridiculous short width and that the text inside the columns do not wrap in the columns. So I get things like that :
Date Name
2011 Leina
I should see 2011-08-01 and the name Leinad Jan
I tried several things to format the columns, but none of the them has any effect on the PDF itself.
1) I used HTML code in the report query. It works well with the interactive report, but display the HTML tags in the PDF.
2) I used css to set the width of my columns. It works in the interactive report, but not in the PDF, the column width do not change.
It's like the report do not notice that my page format is Legal 14 x 8.5 (Landscape) and still believe it's 8.5 x 11 (which is "portrait")
Do you have any idea so set the columkn widths in the reports ?

To "remember" the column widths, add a mouse listener to the table header. Upon mouseReleased(), get the column widths and save them to your file. When the application starts next time, get the stored widths and set them using:
table.getColumn("XXX").setPreferredWidth(...);
By default, your columns are adjustable, but you can use:
table.getTableHeader().setResizingAllowed(true);

we would like to reduce the default width of the 'Detailed Navigation iView' in order to save some screen space.
So far, we havn't found the right item in the portal admin to do this.

Hi Frank,
You can change the width of this navigation iview by changing the value of "defaultExpWidth" in the file WAandNAVPanel.js present in the par file com.sap.layouts.framework.par from default value 220 pixels to the value you want.
upload the changed par file and restart the server.

IWDGroup - making it the full width of the screen

Hi everyone, I am using the IWDGroup element to enclose several other elements, e.g. Table, textview, labels, etc.
I will be listing several groups on one screen, in order to make them uniform, I'd like to make it by default, stretch to atleast the full width of the screen. I've tried setting the setStretchHorizontal to be true, however, still this does not work. Please help.

Yes, I have tried setting the width=100%, using the CSS principle as it had suggested. I'm starting to perhaps think that this is a bug.

CTRL+A, or Edit > Select All.

Thanks for this post. It corrected my similar issue. Note that you need to exit from/re-enter iTunes after deleting the song from your Purchased list.

No. The phones are smart enough to stop charging once they are full. Most people plug in their phones overnight, and just unplug it in the morning and you are good to go. I hope this helps!
