Are they any ways to mark them in black color since they are not junk?

Hi David.
Not sure what you mean, but you can use the Colors palette (Format > Show Colors) to manually change the background highlight of messages in the message list. Although the Colors palette cannot be used to set the foreground color, it can be used to remove it. In particular, choosing either black or white removes both the background highlight and the foreground color of the messages currently selected in the message list.

Outbox messages marked as Junk

I see some messages I have sent are marked as Junk in the outbox. I can't detect a pattern and the addressees are in my Address Book. What's happening. And are the poeple receiving these messages marked as Junk?

Do the messages really appear marked as junk in Outbox or do they appear in Sent?
Have you made any changes to the junk filter in Preferences > Junk Mail > Advanced? Try this:
1. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail, disable junk mail filtering, then enable it again. This resets the rule that governs what the junk filter does.
2. Choose either Training or Automatic mode (it doesn’t matter) and leave the other options checked. Click Advanced to see how the junk filter rule is defined now if you want, but don’t touch anything there.
3. Reset the junk filter database (Preferences > Junk Mail > Reset).

How to mark email messages as Not Junk?

When I look in the Junk email folder in Mac Mail, I see messages that I did not mark as junk mail. I guess Mac Mail is somehow filtering and classifying the messages as junk. Within the Junk folder, however, there are messages that are not junk. How to I mark these items (and future messages from the same source) as not junk, so that they appear in my Inbox and not in my Junk folder?
What I Think I Am Supposed To Do
1. Open a message in the Junk folder that I do not want to be classifled as junk.
2. By default, a "thumbs down" icon appears in the toolbar (View > Show Toolbar). I click on thumbs down to mark the message as junk. The thumbs down icon changes to a "thumps up" icon.
3. I click on the thumbs up icon to mark the item as not junk
Is this the right thing to do? When I do the above steps, the message remains in the Junk folder - it does not move my Inbox folder. But will future messages from the same source go into my Inbox?

In case other are having this problem: With Outlook.com email, I found that mark email items as Not Junk within Mac Mail had not effect. Subsequent emails from the same sender still went into the Junk folder.
I had to sign on to my Outlook.com email at www.outlook.com website and mark the emails there as Not Junk. Subsequent emails from the same sender than arrived in my Mac Mail Inbox, as desired.

When I mark a message as 'not junk', is there a way to have it automatically move to the inbox?

Apple Mail keeps putting good messages into the Junk folder. I mark them as 'not junk', but then they just sit there. It is really tedious to have to move them back to the inbox, and change the colour back to black. Is there any way to do this automatically. (And while I'm at it, why is the Mail junk filter so poor? Shouldn't it be learning: it just keeps putting the same good messages into junk.

Which version of Mail are u using and which Os ?
On this side Mail 4.5 ans SL 10.6.8, I do have the possibility to transfer from the JunkBox to the in box for exemple and even change the color of the text... Sorry , in French.

There are two ways to mark as Not Junk:
When viewing a message TB (or you) has marked as junk, there is a strip near the top of the message which says 'Thunderbird thinks this message is junk mail.' In that strip, there is a box on the right which says 'Not Junk'.
The other way is in the list of mail in a folder, if you right click on the message, one of the options is 'Mark'; then hovering your mouse over that you can select 'As Not Junk'.

Junk mail-why don't I have an option for Is junk mail in messages flag not junk mail

I have a brown coloured email which has been accurately diagnosed as junk mail, but when I go to Messages>flag>...the only two options I have are "not junk mail" and "mark as unread" yet in the help support it says that it should have "junk mail" there too. So far I cant mark it as junk mail - so I usually just delete them. Any advice please? Thank you.

Have you studied Mail prefernces? If not, go to Mail > preferences > Junk mail and check out the options there. Alternately, click on the 'info' question mark and follow up anything you are currently unsure of.

Why can't mail automatically go back to inbox if marked "not junk"??

I hope someone who has the power to change this annoying feature reads this post.
In Apple Mail Inbox - if I mark an e-mail as junk, it is automatically moved to the Junk folder. But if I select an e-mail in the Junk mail folder, and I click it to be "not junk", it just changes the color of the text, but the e-mail remains in the Junk mail folder. Why can't it then automatically be moved to the normal inbox?? Certainly not too much to ask - in fact, I think this should be a logical expectation from the vast majority of users.
Please Apple - this is poor programming and needs to be fixed!

The only think I've done is to change the rules.
My settings are to look for an address in my address book or previous
recipients - if not, send to trash. In another discussion, this apparently
doesn't work all the time, and nobody knows why.
When I open the trash and find lots of messages that shouldn't be there,
clicking on "Not Junk" just keeps in trash.
Sigh . . .

Messages Marked as Junk

Just recently had problems with my Mail program that had me importing all my old email: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=839892&tstart=0
Anyhow, now I am noticing that messages are being marked that brownish/orange color as junk, even I after I tell it 'Not Junk'. Then I looked over at my sent mail, and I noticed that everything I have sent since I did that import is being marked that brownish/orange color as Junk. I again tell it it's 'Not Junk', but after browsing between different mail folders, I got back to see it marked again.
Frustrating!

Try this first:

2. Quit Mail, then open it again.
3. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail, enable junk mail filtering, and configure it however you wish. I recommend choosing Automatic mode, and leaving all the other options checked.
4. Reset the junk filter database (Preferences > Junk Mail > Reset).

When I mark eamails as Junk they still appear in my inbox with the Junk icon attached.

When I mark a certain email as junk I'll receive the same email the next day i.e. Horoscopes.

Sent messages marked as junk

Almost all my incoming messages are marked as junk- but so are the messages I send too. How is this possible?

Local files that are not there are still visible

In my local files I can still see some albums that are no longer on my Macbook but strangly enough I can still see them??I can even push play, but (of course) nothing happens when I do this.I would like to erase these albums or not see them but how?? In my preferences I have switched off al the local/iTunes tracks etc so I don't see anything else, but they are still there......????See attachment for the "off line tracks" (that don't exist) and my settings

I have the same problem, but a removal and fresh install of the application did not resolve the issue. My original issue - which may be related - is that Spotify will not play some songs. I'm guessing it wants to play a local file instead of a cloud file by default. Somewhere along the way, the local filie (on a network drive) was not available. Then, when I try to play the song in any location, it will not play, move the scrobbly bar. nothing. I have thus far...* Deselected the local files in the app preferences* Removed the storage folder / 'cache' of local files* Removed the application* Reinstalled the application As the OP says and shows, my local files still appear in the list with no option to remove. Oh, and they won't play either.

I exported a library as to an ext HD. Trying to import it back in to managed lib, her message could not be imported, still exporting, wait for export to stop

exported some pictures from a project to a HD, as a library, and everything went smooth. I go to import it back into my original library [ I know it comes back as a project] and repeatedly get the message "Library could not be imported because it is still being exported. Please wait for export to complete and try again." That was two days ago. How do I get my pics back?

Have you tried to repair your Libraries? Both, the original library you exported from, and the exported library?
Start with repairing the permissions, and then repairing the database.
To repair using the Aperture Library First Aid Tools, hold down both the options and the command key at the same time, and with both ⌥⌘ keys firmly pressed, double click the Aperture library that you want to repair.
Select the "repair" option you want to use from the panel that will pop up,

Fields that are not displayed are still submitted

Is there any way to prevent fields from being submitted? I have fields that are only conditionally displayed on the screen, but the values are submitted every time.
ie, user enters some field values, submits the page. we branch to the same page and do not clear the values so the user can see what he/she put in last time.
the user now selects from a select list which causes some of the fields that previously had values to no longer be displayed.
the user fills out some of the other fields, then submits the page, and all the old values and the new values are submitted. i would like only the new values to be submitted, and the old values not to be submitted.
is this possible? (and reasonable to implement)

Yes Modify your submit procedure to only submit the records that are displayed on the screen.
I'm not too clear on why or what your trying to do.
When you submit the page and then branch to the same page.
Why don't you just make the user edit the record they just entered or create a new record?
Maybe I've misunderstood something but something your doing in the steps you've described, doesn't seem to be too clear to me...

I have deleted email on my Mac and synced my phone but those deleted emails are still in my phone inbox.

How can I deleted these emails without having to go back more than a year and delete manually?

If deleting mail on your computer is not deleting the mail on the iPhone, then more than likely you are talking about a POP account. If that is the case, you will not be able to remove them other than to delete them individually, or delete the account on the phone, then add it back again. Deleting the account will delete the mail, then you can add it back. A POP account stores the mail locally on the device. And with a POP account, syncing the phone to the computer has nothing to do with the mail, except for the account settings. It does not deal with the mailbox contents.

Notes that are sync'ed appear in inbox

In syncing notes between iPhone and Mac, the notes appear in the Inbox as well as the Notes section of mail. If I delete them from my Inbox, they are automatically deleted from Notes. Is there any way around this?

I had this problem, and it turned out to be a simple, but obscure fix: In the Mail application on the Mac, go to Preferences > Account > Mailbox Behaviors and find the check box for "Show notes in Inbox". Just uncheck it.
