Messages not arriving

I've checked elsewhere on here but my problem seems a little different.... during an email exchange with a friend, my emails stopped arriving in his inbox - I know this as I telephoned to check. It seems unlikely that it's his spam filter, and there's no question of a wrong address as I simply pressed reply. I am now wondering if other mails haven't arrived, which would be infuriating as they included important information. Also, it was plain text, no attachments etc.

Keep in mind that many mail providers are offering new SPAM filter services, but the user does not always understand them. Take the last message that did not arrive, open it in the Sent mailbox, click on Message in the menubar and choose Send Again. But before sending from the resulting Compose window, click on Format in the menubar and choose Make Plain Text. Send and check to see he gets this version.

A similar issue has been discussed here:
    XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_XI_HANDLER - GENERAL_ERROR
Unfortuantely it is a gnereic error.
Try extending the trace file in the log configurator in Visual Admin to see if you can get a better indication of what is triggering the error.
Try running RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES in SE38 to see if this kicks off the Integration Engine services.

  • Some new messages or some that I respond to do not go out, and some from others do not arrive. This seems to be a new problem.

I have sent test messages to my self several times today to and from from each of my addresses and they show in my sent folder but do not arrive. Others that I know were sent to me did not arrive. In one case, the same message sent again did arrive. Other mail does arrive, but I now wonder how much I'm missing. I need some help?

if Mail goes to your sent folder without error, Thunderbird has received a "sent ok" from the outgoing server. Your mail is not arriving, time to talk to your service provider. They probably have spam rules and are quarantining your mail somewhere or are simply dropping it as SPAM. There is no guarantee of delivery or of notification of failure in the email protocols and the larger ISPs in the US especially make significant use of that absence in their cavalier spam policies.

  • Lync 2013 external to internal IM is slow or messages do not arrive

    Hi,
I'm building a Lync 2013 setup on Windows Server 2012. Internal Lync 2013 standard server with Lync 2013 edge server in a DMZ. No federation.
Internally al users are able to chat, audio/video and conferance.
My problem is that external users are able to sign in and start a chat with an internal user but it looks like communication is only working in one way.
    Example:
    User 1 is external;
    User 2 is internal;
User 1 starts IM with user 2 and says "hi"
User 2 receives the IM and accepts and is seeing the "Hi" messages from user 1.
User 2 reply's with "Hi" back and that messages does not arrive at user 2. Some time's not at all, some times after a minute or 2.
When user 1 is receiving the reply user 2 still see's the rotating dot's that the message is beeing send. and after a while user 2 receives:  "This message may not have been sent to User1
because there was no response from the server."
The situation seems to occures only from internally to externally and also with both users externally. I cannot see any error's in the event logs of the Internal or Edge server. De debugging tools is showing me error's like:
Text: Message or one of its headers caused SIP transaction processing error
    Result-Code: 0xc3e93f5b SIPPROXY_E_TRANSACTION_TIMEOUT
Text: Message was discarded by the application
    Result-Code: 0xc3e93ec6 SIP_E_AUTH_CANNOT_CHALLENGE
Audio/video requests are also arriving at the other user but are unable to establish a connection.
I can't really figure out what is going wrong. Certificates are correct, i think firewall rules are in place otherwise i have no communication at all i'm guessing. Routes also seem ok.
    Some help would be great

    Pascal

    Hi,
The internal user Lynctest is sending a message to pslijkerman who is connected externally.
User pslijkerman receives the messages but the lynctest user keeps seeing rotating dots (processing message or something) after 1 minute or so the following messages is displayed in the Lync Im screen for user lynctest.
    ======
This message may not have been sent to Pascal Slijkerman because there was no response from the server.
    ======
This is some logging from the internal lync server.

  • Mail with iCloud: using PUSH on all MAc and IOS devices, mail messages do not arrive in all devices automatically. Same settings on all devices.

Incoming messages comes into INBOX folder only in 1 IOS ( iPhone ) device and not in other  devices  ( iPad and iMac ).
Clicking on mail folder, messages are downloaded as in manual mode.
Why messages are not pushed at same time in all devices ( mac + IOS devices ) ?
Thanks for support me, hoping to be of help to who will have this problem worldwide.
    [email protected]

While trying to find a solution, I am discovering my mail problem is much deeper than just messages not appearing in the "Sent" mailbox.  I have found some of them appearing in the "Trash" mailbox and some appearing there mulitple times, often with my account name in the "TO" field.  I'm also finding some unread mail there that should be in the "Junk" mailbox.  So it would appear there are many problems with ISO 7 and mail.  I have tried deleting and restablishing the account and two complete iPhone restores.  Neither helped. What is the biggest puzzle is that on my second iPhone, the one that upgraded without an error, mail is working perfectly well.  Has anyone found a solution to any mail problems on ISO 7 devices?  If so, please reply.

  • HT201342 My email is not arriving on my computer.  The icon from get mail just keeps swirling.  Yesterday I had many messages on the account.  Today there is only one from yesterday and then there is a jump in time back to April 16 with no messages inbetw

I cannot get me.com mail on my computer today.  The icon just keeps swirling.  I have one message from yesterday and then it drops all read messages back to April 16.  I have restarted the mail program several times.

    Hello carouselmusic,
It sounds like you cannot get your iCloud email to download to the Mail app on your Mac. I would use the following troubleshooting to help resolve that from the article named:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Mail
    chttp://support.apple.com/kb/ts4002
If you can't receive mail in OS X Mail
Locate the name of your iCloud account on the left side of the main Mail window. If your iCloud account name is dimmed and has a lightning-bolt symbol next to it, your account is offline. To bring your account online, make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet, then choose Mailbox > Take All Accounts Online. If that doesn't resolve the issue, follow these steps:
Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
Click Accounts in the Preferences window.
Select your iCloud account from the list of accounts.
Click the Advanced tab and verify these settings:
    Port: 993
    Use SSL: (selected)
Authentication: either "Password" or "Apple Token"
If this does not resolve the issue, then use the following to remove, and then re add the account:
To remove an email account in Mail:
Open Mail (click it on the Dock or open it from the Applications folder).
From the Mail menu, choose Preferences..., or press Command-, (the Command and comma keys).
    Click the "Accounts" icon.
Select the account you wish to remove.
Click the "-" (minus) icon. You will be alerted that "The account's setup information, mailboxes, messages, notes, and to do's will be deleted permanently from your computer."
If you are sure you want to remove the account and email messages from your computer, click "Remove" to complete this process.
    And
    Open Mail.
Choose Add Account from the File menu. If this is the first time you've opened Mail, you will be automatically prompted to add an account.
Enter your Full Name, email address, and password. See Mac 101: Mail article for more information.
From: Configuring Mail for your email account

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • BPM :: Messages not processed at outbound side

    Hi Experts,
We have 1000+ synchronous messages with BPM  for only two days in July which havent processed fully. Now oncoming messages are getting processed fine, but the messages which were waiting for outbound processing from July are still waiting.
inbound side there is a success flag and outbound side it is showing a clock symbol(looks like scenario is collecting / waiting)... cant see any failed/waiting messages iin queues .. when I checked the workflow logs few are showing workflow manually edited and processed after exception.
The date messages were triggered are 10/Jun and seems one or more messages were edited on 17/jun later.
Now we would like to know which workflow thrown the exception and what they have done during manual operation.
And how to process the remaining holding messages.
Thanks in advance for you ideas and suggestions.

    Hi,
As you pointed out in your post that
"inbound side there is a success flag and outbound side it is showing a clock symbol(looks like scenario is collecting / waiting)... "
Now you have not explained your scenario completely. Still from the problem statement I can say that The BPM is waiting for some messages. There are three possible scenarios where you can see the clock symbol.
You have the option of collecting multiple messages for an interface and bundling them into one message, for example, individual sales order items into one sales order. To do so, you need to define a receiver step within a loop. The loop can finish in a variety of ways.
Payload-Dependent  => The loop finishes when the number of messages received matches the number specified in the payload of the messages.
Time-Dependent   => The loop finishes at a specified point in time.
Message-Dependent => The loop finishes when a specific message is received.
Once all the messages have been received, a transformation step bundles the messages collected in the container element and from them creates a message in the container element .This message is then sent by a subsequent send step.
The processes use one of the abstract interfaces as an inbound interface, and the other as an outbound interface.
Your BPM cannot be time dependant, otherwise it would have completed processing by now.
Either your BPM is message dependant or payload dependant. You need to find this out.
Check out the correlation (if) used in BPM, and the condition in BPM which stops the message collection.
Plesae check SXMB_MONI and study the messages which have been succesfully processed by the BPM, so if your BPM is message dependant you have to find out what message it needs to stop collecting the message, this you can do by studying the successful message processed by the BPM. In this case your BPM will contain a FORK step. In one branch of FORK step there will be a receive step, this is the step where you can find the message required to complete waiting stage of the BPM.
Check if this message has arrived or not.
If your BPM is Payload dependant, find out whether number of messages received by the BPM matches the  expected count or not. In this case the BPM must have a container operation to count the messages received. If the count is less than required value, the BPM will remain in waiting  state.
    regards

  • Emails with MS word attachments not arriving, but Pages attachments okay

When I send an email with a Word attachment that was originally created in MS Word (v 11.3.5), the email does not arrive at its destination. I've started bcc'g myself to doublecheck and it seems consistent, no matter where it is going. It shows up as "Sent" in the mailbox, but the recipient never receives it.
However, when I create the document in Pages, then convert it to a Word document using "Export" in Pages, then attach it to an email, the email goes through without a problem.
Just now, I created the document in Pages, converted it using "Export", then edited it a bit while it was in Word. When I sent the email as an attachment, it disappeared again and did not arrive at its destination. This is really scary, because I have frequently sent people emails and assume that they are arriving (the email shows up in my "Sent" mailbox, but just disappears into cyberspace somewhere.)
Is this a glitch with Word or Mail? It started happening about 4 months ago, and I have already tried re-installing Word. That seemed to fix it for awhile but it's just happened again.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

The limit in the admin server is set to 1000MB
For gigabyte-class file transfers, you'll really want to use a different path — that message size is easily approaching a denial-of-service scale message size, if not exceeded it.
If you really want to try doing attachments of that size and all the intervening SMTP servers support it, then try setting the message size manually via something like the (untested) following commands:
    sudo postconf -c /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix  message_size_limit  -e  "message_size_limit = 10485760"
    sudo postfix reload
Or to whatever specific attachment size you want to try to use.  The unit is in bytes.
The other Postfix setting that tends to get involved here is mailbox_size_limit, as well as whatever quotes might be in use for the specific users.

  • Proxy messages not processed in PI 7.1 pipeline coming from local client

    Dear experts,
We have recently installed a PI7.1 system with two clients:
    200 - Integration Server
    250 - Local Integration Engine
Now, when we send proxy messages from the 250 client to the 200 client,
the messages are not processed in the integration server. The message
does arrive as we can see in SXMB_MONI, but there is no receiver determination
or what-so-ever executed. In SXMB_MONI we can see that only the SENDER
    pipeline is executed.
Proxy messages from 6.20 and 7.0 systems to IS are properly processed.
Ofcourse the 250 client is defined as an application system in the integation engine
    configuration (SXMB_ADM).
    regards,
    Jeroen

In SXMB_MONI we can see that only the SENDER pipeline is executed.
Yes. Even if no receivers are configured the data from sender to XI should be visible in sxmb_moni.
Check smq1 at XI. There could be some problem with the technical system for client 250.

  • Idoc sent with status 03 but not arrive to destination

    Hi experts,
I am working on idoc scenario on ECC6.0.I am pushing the idoc from R/3 system to Cast Iron Midleware (non SAP aplication).I have done all the prerequisites involved to pushing idoc-----
    maintain Rfc destinations,maintain port,partner profile,distribution model....
But when i am pushing the reduced idoc from sender it's showing the status 03.when i am running RBDMOIND, some Idocs change status to 12 and others not, still in 03.
I always sent the same Idoc to the customer. The strange thing here is that sometimes the same Idoc arrives destination without any problem and sometimes the exactly same idoc not arrives. That´s doesn´t make any sense..
When I enter to SM58 I can see this message: Commit fault: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NullPointerException. Message no. SR053
If I execute LUW the following message appears: Function module does not exist or EXCEPTION raised. Message no. SY359.
Please tell me what I need to do or check. This problem is about to explote.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Icloud mail, some forwarded messages not delivered

    Dear all,
I do forward my two professional mailboxes to icloud.com so I have all my emails centralized in a single location.
Since a few days, some of the messages forwarded are not delivered to my icloud inbox; I assume they are blocked by the spam assassin.
What is possible to do to avoid messages to be blocked ?
Is there a way to view messages blocked on server side ?  (messages do not arrive in Mail app as spam, it is not delivered at all!)
Is it possible to change the spam assassin working level ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lionel

I have the same problem. E-mail messages from the website www.hotelkamerveiling.nl do not arrive in my iCloud mailbox. With Gmail, there is no problem. I contacted Apple about this. The say that they can't do anything about this problem. I think that is strange. As a user, you should be able to alter spam settings.

  • After Exchange 2010 SP3 and rollup 4 update conditional formatting causes messages not to appear in Outlook 2010

    Hi,
after updating to exchange 2010 sp 3 from sp 2 and also updating to rollup 4, users who use conditional formatting cannot see new message unless they close and reopen Outlook.
If you decide to change the font colour for unread messages, the messages do not appear in Outlook but a pop up indicates that a new message has arrived.
If you reopen Outlook, the unread messasge appears.
remove the conditional formatting and no issue with viewing unread messages as they arrive.
    running Outook version 14.0.7106.5003
is this a known issue?  a user who never used conditional formatting will experience this right away.
    Thanks,
    rudif

    Hi rudif,
If the issue only happens to users who use conditional formatting and OWA can work well for all mailbox, I think the issue should be in client side.
Please try to reset View then set the conditional formatting back to have a try. If the issue continues, please try to recreate the Outlook profile to check whether the issue persists. Also try restarting Outlook in Safe mode by running
    Outlook /safe switch.
    Thanks,

  • Exchange "Undeliverable" messages not showing

    Hi
I use Mail to access my employer's Exchange server. It works pretty well except for one problem. If I send an email to a full mailbox, then the Exchange system sends me back a message saying it was Undeliverable. I can see these messages quite clearly when I use Outlook, but they just don't show up in Mail! Even stranger, I know when such a message has arrived because Mail's unread message counter clicks up by one, but then goes back down again when I click on the In Box folder.
I've checked my connection and spam killer settings but I can't see anything wrong.
    Help please!
    Bob

    Hi,
As what Andy says, it is by design that to avoid poor performance in Exchange Server, the default Get-MailboxStatistics cmdlet does not retrieve the mailbox quotas and does not display a value in the
    StorageLimitStatus field.
If you want to check the mailbox which is reached to mailbox quota and receive the quota warning, we can try the following command, for example:
    Get-MailboxStatistics winnie2 | fl *quota*,*size*
If the TotalItemsSize value is bigger than DatabaseIssueWarningQuota value, this mailbox user would receive the quota warning messages.
If you want to know the mailbox status for the whole database, we can compare the TotalItemSize value with DatabaseIssueWarningQuota value in the following command results:
    Get-MailboxStatistics -Database "Mailbox Database 1294421375" | ft displayname,*quota*,*size
