Messages not being delievered to one contact

Hi,
I'm having some problems sending messages to a particular contact in my bbm list. Up until a month ago, messages were being sent no problem. But lately, none of my messages are being sent to this particular contact, although I'm still getting messages from them (and all my other contacts are fine). I've tried taking everything off of my phone and then re-uploading it, but it hasn't seemed to help at all.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have his email address set up with his contact information, only his cell number. I went so far as to manually enter his phone number into the 'To:' field. Just came up with his name and still sent an iMessage but he did not receive it.
My phone only has one contact card for him and I'm still confused as to why I can receive massages from him but as normal SMS as opposed to iMessage but my iMessage says its sent with no errors and he doesn't receive

  • Messages not being received by one contact

I have one contact that cannot receive my messages I have sent. We both have the iPhone 4s.
When I do try to send a message to him, it shows up 'blue' and no error message is received. My phone recognizes that it is an iMesssage in the message body but he does not ever receive them. When he sends a message to me, I do receive it but it is a regular SMS in green. I have even tried to simply respond to the messages he sends me, they also show up blue, but he doesn't recieve those either.
We both have iMessage 'on', and both are running 3G
I do not have this issue with any other contacts, iPhone user or not
    Thanks for any help.

  • Why is my text message not being delivered

Why is my messages not being delivered?

    1. Messages on the iPad can only be sent to other iDevices
    2. The receiving party must also be registered with iMessage
Note: The two above conditions must be met.

  • Imessage not working for only one contact all of a sudden

I can not recieve imessages from one contact. We have always been able to use imessage and just yesterday all of a sudden the only way we can text is if I turn imessage off. I can use imessage for everyone else and he can use imessage for everyone else, we just all of a sudden can't use it to text each other now.
I am reset my phone, deleted and added him again, and he has tried the same.

  • Texts not going through to one contact

Hi there - I've been trying to look up how to fix this for ages, but can't find anything that solves it.
On July 7th, texts to one contact stopped going through. I could still recieve texts from him, but he can't receive any that I send. He has AT&T as a provider. He is getting texts from other people, and I can send texts to other people just fine. I am not sure what the problem is. I have tried *288 and option 1, I have tried taking the battery out, I even did a full reset of my phone, and cleared everything (including my pictures.. ) but nothing worked.
This is the contact that I text the most, so I don't know if I hit some sort of limit or what.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Hi everyone!
I would like to contribute more information that would be helpful. Typically if its an issue with text messages not transmitting to and/or from only one person or one carrier, it's probably something I can resolve by escalating this to our network team that will work with the other carrier to get this fixed.
Please PM me with your name and mobile number and the mobile number of the person you can't message with. I will escalate from there.
    Thank you everyone!

  • Email & Messages not being received promptly

I recently updated to 8.0.2 and since then I have not been able to receive messages and emails promptly.  I have checked my setting for notification on locked screen and it is set to on. The only way I can get them is to to it manually.  I have also checked the automatic button in settings. This is aggravating me!  Can someone help please!

I have had several messages sent to my @vtext.com address and so far I have not received a single one.  I can send from my phone to an email and it is received with no problems from my @vtext.com address, but even when I reply to the message sent from my phone I still never receive it on my mobile device.  I have registered with Vtext, so I'm not really sure what the issue is.  Any ideas?
    Hi ambied20,
The way you would be able to get the replies to your mobile device is by logging into My Verizon and refer over to Vtext.com. Then when a message is sent to you, go into the check text status tab, select the radio button for receiving your reply to your mobile device. If you have need of any additional assistance, PM me your information. I'll contact you with helping you with this process.

  • Messages not being marked as Read on IMAP account on iMac

I use the Mail application on my iMac to read my Gmail. I have it set up as IMAP, and it has worked very well for a long time. Recently, however, I noticed that if I read my mail on my iPhone, or my work computer (both of which have the correct IMAP settings), the messages are not being marked as Read (unbolded) on my iMac. I have to quit and restart Mail for the messages to be unbolded.
Not a big issue, but I wonder why it is happeneing, and how to correct it?

I'm getting this too. Switching to a different folder and back gets rid of the blue dot. This only happens with my exchange account. All other accounts work normally.

  • How to change the character set encoding not being a superset one

HI, i have a fresh installed database, but i realize the character set support in my client is not good enough, since its a not production database i want to change the character set encoding to anothor one not being a superset of the old one.
I have tried the "ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET WE8MSWIN1252" but it fails claiming i need a superset one.
I guess its just a single steps to do it, i have all the privileges, just not the time to reinstall and setup everything.

Do you know what that does to the existing data, though? My hunch would be that any characters which have a different binary representation in the source & target character sets would be corrupted.

  • Messages not being written to page

    HI,
What could stop messages from being displayed/written. I have changed my page template from a table based layout to a css layout and have wrapped the following #GLOBAL_NOTIFICATION# #SUCCESS_MESSAGE# #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE# in a div. I cause an error intentionally on my page but the message does not appear. When I inspect the page source it confirms that the message was not written to the page. I have an identical application that uses table layouts for the page template and the same process produces a message. When I inspect the page source the message is written in the #GLOBAL_NOTIFICATION# #SUCCESS_MESSAGE# #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE# position as expected.
Would anybody have any ideas for me to pursue to get to the bottom of this problem?
    Thank You
    Ben

    Scott,
I found what the problem was ...
The page template has a subtemplate region and the entry for Success Message and Notification where empty.

  • Nokia 3110 Classic Messages not being sent

sent messages are being 'saved for sending' in outbox and not being sent. Message details give me a 'failed delivery' report. Any ideas?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Check if you have the right message centre number.
Messages sent by your phone are routed through your service provider's message center. Normally, this number is saved to your phone by your service provider. To save the number manually, do the following:
At the Start screen, press Menu 01-6 (Messages - Message settings).
"Text messages" is highlighted. Press Select.
"Sending profile" is highlighted. Press Select.
"Default profile" is highlighted. Press Select.
Scroll to "Message centre number" and press Select.
If the box in the display is empty, enter the number given by your service provider and press OK.
    OR
If the box in the display is full, edit the number only if you are sure the number is incorrect, or you want to change the number, and press OK.
A message appears in the display that confirms your number is saved.

  • Reply messages not being sent

Wonder if anyone else has had this problem. When I hit "reply" to a received e-mail, type in what I want to say and then hit the "send" button, message is not received by other party. Shows under my "Sent" folder. Has happened twice now to 2 different people and e-mail addresses. Curious if this has happened to anyone else? Thanks. Larry

For this you would need to reinstall the whole OS  as Messages cannot be done separately any more.

  • Cc messages not being sent

I have just realized that mail messages I have been copying to people in the 'cc' header section of mail (version 2.1) are not being sent out. I use .Mac account.
    Any thoughts?

Does not being sent out mean these messages remain in the Outbox?
If a message cannot be successfully sent, it will remain in the Outbox mailbox.
A successfully sent message will be placed in the account's Sent mailbox and a successfully sent message is either accepted or rejected by the recipient's incoming mail server.
If rejected by the recipient's incoming mail server for whatever reason, you will received a return email error message from the recipient's incoming mail server indicating why the message was not accepted.
If no such error message is received, this indicates the message was accepted by the recipient's incoming mail server and what happens to the message after that is beyond our control.

  • SMS Messages not being delivered

For the past 4 days now my SMS messages will not deliver. They say sent, but will not deliver, The person that is suppose to get them says they are not being recieved either so what are we supposed to do? Please attend to this immediately or at least tell us what to do. Thanks so much  [edited for privacy]  would appreciate response to this e mail address.  thanks again

Same problem here,it say the SMS sent, but for the last 50 min.  it's not been delivered yet.I have to mention the money went out from my account for it.I logged out and back in,changed status in hope will get it done somehow, but still nothing.
Why do we have to pay for a service that doesn't work? It's  supposed to be fast and reliable(none of the abobe). My message is kinda too late now,and I doubt that I'll get my money back.
And yes..I did put the right number and the country code and so on,it's not the first time I use Skype for this.
    Shame !
