Messages Not Syncing across devices with iOS 8

Hi all,
Since December 2014 and an update at that time my iMessages stopped syncing correctly.
Some messages sync some don't.
I send from my iPhone5c and it doesn't show up on my iPadAir.
Reply will go to my iPadAir and not to my iPhone5c
If one of my devices is off then no messages will go to it and it won't sync once turned back on.
I have done the: turn off iMessages, quit program, turn off devices. Restart and turn on iMessages again on devices. This hasn't fixed the issue.
My number and emails are all correct on devices. I am logged in on devices. They just adhocly sync.
Any other ideas?

They are received normally for me and everyone I know using 8.3. Are you using WiFi or cellular data? Has these devices ever been hacked/jailbroken, at any time?
If not, try these steps as needed:
Reset: press both home and lock buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Restore to factory settings using iTunes, also restoring a backup
Restore to factory settings as new, without using a backup
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

After installing the new iOS and selecting 'iCloud Photo Library (Beta)' on both devices, the 'my photo stream' folder has disappeared and photos will not sync across devices. My "In Box" syncs across devices, but the "Sent" and "Trash" boxes do not. How do I ensure that all my mailboxes are syncing across all my devices, so that conversations can move back and forth regardless of which device I am using at the moment?

Collections do not sync across devices - bookmarks do ???

Hello. I am trying to sync my books & PDF's between my iPhone 4S & iPad2. Both are running iOS 5.0.1 and all apps are up to date. Both have "sync bookmarks", "sync collections", & "online audio & vidoe" checked. I am using iCloud and both devices are backed up nightly....
I have manually pulled books and PDF's to each device; what is strange is that when I bookmark on one devicee (say the iPhone), the bookmark is recognized almost instantly on the other device (iPad).... BUT, when I add a book or pdf to one device, it doesn't automatically sync to the other device.....??

Let me revise my last post - Books purchased in the library DO sync across devices; items I place in iBooks from email, etc.. do NOT sync.

That's correct. iCloud handles only its own email, and has no relationship with other accounts. It's in the nature of a POP service that messages are downloaded from the server to the machine - it was really designed for single-computer use in the days when a second computer was an unheard-of luxury. You can usually set the email client to leave message on the server either permanently or for a specified period, so that other devices can also access the messages, but of course they won't see replies or sent messages.
IMAP (which is what iCloud uses) is the better protocol to use - the messages live on the server and the various computers and devices read them from there, like webmail - and a service which provides that will behave in exactly the same way as iCloud but independently of it. You should ask BT if they can provide an IMAP version of the account - some ISPs provide both, some don't.

Calendars no longer sync across devices after iOS/Mac OS X updates

Ever since updating my MacBook Air to Yosemite and my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.0.2 (or maybe 8.1.1), my calendars no longer sync correctly across devices. Prior to the updates, any addition or change I made to the calendar on my iPhone would be added to the calendar on my Mac the next time I synced my phone. Now I have duplicate events on my phone, the calendar on my Mac no longer incorporates changes from the phone and I get a dialog box on the Mac 2-3 times an hour about calendar conflicts. No matter how many times I review the conflicts and choose which events/updates to save, the box keeps coming back. I've never had a persistent issue like this with any previous iOS or Mac OS updates and I can't figure out why it won't stop. Help, please!

OK, that was easy enough. Here's what I took from the log when I synced a few minutes ago. I kept the log entry for one of the multiple calendar sync conflicts.

ICloud Mail not syncing across devices

This issue has been bugging me for many months now and I have not been able to find a solution: I am an iCloud user for email etc, iPhone 4s with iOS7.0 and MBP with OSX10.8.5 and Mail 6.6. There are actually 2 issues which I would like help in resolving:
1. If I happen to notice a new email received on my iPhone and open up that new message using the iPhone, it then does not get downloaded by Mail on my MBP. If however I choose to ignore a new message in my iPhone's inbox and wait until I get home to read it using my MBP, then Mail downloads the unopened message and I can choose to read it using either the iPhone or MBP. However, new mail downloaded on my MBP and which I then open using Mail is also downloaded on my iPhone and marked as read.
2. Sent Mail is not sync'd across the two devices. I can get around this by bcc'ing myself on all sent messages.
I use IMAP and have tried some recommendations I have found on some help sites but to no avail.

Unfortunately, iCloud only pushes new mail. In iOS, it has never pushed the updated status of mail read, moved or flagged on other devices. http://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT203545
You could try switching your iCloud mail to fetch instead of push. I've never tried this, but maybe it will fetch the read status, as per the fetch schedule.

TS3988 iCloud not syncing across devices?

My devices are not syncing in iCloud.
E-mails can be received but not deleted - I have to delete from each device separately.

iCloud does not sync emails. You are interacting directly with your email on the server, so whatever actions you take on one device/computer are actually performed on the server, so are also seen on every other device/computer that connects to the same account on the same server.
Just to confirm, you are referring to emails sent to your @icloud.com (or @me.com / @mac.com) email address, arent you? Not any other external email account?

Address Book Server will not sync all fields with iOS client

Hello,
I am getting really frustrated with my Mac Mini Server.
Apparently, the Address Book Server DOES NOT sync all fields.
Only standard vCard-fields seem to synced.
I have not successfully synced user-defined fields, such as an additional date.
Any ideas / infos on how to achieve this if this possible at all?

One thing: I posted the same question in the "Lion" (non-server) discussion - sorry for any confusion.
One thing I noticed:
All changes made on the server in the OS X Address Book are distributed to two iOS clients (iPod 4th Gen iOS4 iPhone 3GS iOS 4).
Any help is appreciated.

I just found out that after editing the newly distributed entry on an iOS4-Client, some fields on the server are deleted!

Calendar not syncing across devices

I just found that my calenders are not syncing acros my iMac, iPad Air and iPhone 5S. Under iCloud on all 3 devices I have "Calenders" check to sync. All 3 devices have the same Apple ID (iCloud Account ID) and password. Still no luck. I'm running the latest Mavericks and iOS 7.0.4 on my iOS devices.

I have the exact same problem. How did you set your default calendars so the devices sync iCal?

ITunes library not syncing on iPhone4 with iOS 7.0.4

Since the update to iOS 7.0.4, iTunes on my iPhone4 will not sync. It says it's syncing (I've tried syncing both wirelessly and with USB cable) but nothing changes. I've tried making a new playlist and moving songs, toggling things off and on, rebooting my MacBook Air, rebooting iTunes, and rebooting the phone, but it's not syncing. My iPad music library is syncing just fine since the iOS update so this seems to be a problem with the iPhone4.

I have this EXACT same problem and have since the latest IOS upgrade last week. No changes to the iTunes Library on a Windows 7 PC are syncing to the iPhone 4.
I've been able to get added songs to sync by UnChecking " Sync Music" in the Music tab, then hit Sync. That will wipe out the music on the iPhone. THEN , recheck the Sync Music and Sync again.
HOWEVER
The Sync is ignoring what has been "checked" in the iTunes library on the PC. It will only Sync what has been selected in the Sync options when the iPhone has been connected and the sync function launched.
Apple ??? Are you listening ???

Bookmarks not syncing across devices

My iBook bookmarks have stopped syncing between my iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
I have tried turning the syncing off and on in settings but still no luck.....anyone have any ideas as it's driving me nuts ?????

Oh my oh my. Xmarks is conflicting with my OSX Safari and blocking iCloud sync somehow. I disabled Xmarks for Safari in system prefs and viola. iCloud across all devices syncing again in a matter of seconds.I was syncing Safari and Firefox.

I have forgot my password and need help. I have not synced my device with a computer so I can not restore it if any body can help please tell me. Thanks

If you don't remember your iPad's passcode, you have to restore it as a new device.
Read iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
The passcode is quite secure. It would not be worthwhile to have one otherwise.

Purchases not syncing across devices

Purchases I make on my iPad and iPhone don't appear on my PC, but they do on my other iOS devices. What's the problem here?

Where don't they appear ? If you mean that they aren't automatically download then did you have automatic downloads turned 'on' in the Store tab in the iTunes > Preferences on your computer when you bought the items ? If it was 'on' when you purchased the items on your iPad / iPhone then see if the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option downloads them - if not then see if they show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for downloading.
