Messages send 3 times...always

I've had my iPhone 5 for months now and this has never happened before, but recently whenever I send a text message (not iMessages, iMessages is fine for me), the loading bar takes a really long time to go through, gets stuck for a good 5-10 seconds before it does, and my friends tell me they always get 3 repeated texts from me now. Does anyone know of a solution or know why this is happening?

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
However, SMS is a carrier service. If the reset doesn't solve the issue, contact your carrier.
Best of luck.

  • IPhone keeps sending the same text message multiple times in a row.

My iphone (4s) keeps sending people the same text message multiple times (2-4) a few seconds inbetween.  Sometimes it will tell me that there the message failed, but they still recieve it multiple times.  I've already tried deleting the message tread and reset network settings.  Nobody who has an iphone has said anything to me about it yet, only people with android.

It's a carrier issue. I have AT&T and had this issue with my friend (who had an Android) and my mother (who had a feature phone). Both of them have Verizon for service and I'm thinking the issue was on Verizon's end. They both just dealt with it as we tried all sorts of things to get this sorted out (other than contacting Verizon directly) and had no luck.
They've both switched to iPhones so it's a moot point for us now, at least.

  • Why do i keep getting "Message Send Failure" every time I send pictures on iMessage? All are sent to other iPhone/iPad users.

For a few months now, I've been getting "Message Send Failure" every time I send pictures to other Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs), despite the recipient receiving them. So, even though the pictures are going through, the "Message Send Failure" notice keeps showing up. I checked with other people who have Apple devices and they also encountered the same issue whenever they send pictures (usually send an email to make sure it was received).  I thought when iOS 7.1.1 came out that it would fix this issue. Has anyone else encountered the same issue? Thanks!

I started getting the error on my iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1.x) several weeks ago - if not a month ago. Today I finally decided to run through a wholesale sign-out/sign-in process on all my devices (iMac, MacBook, iPad 1, iPad 3 and iPhone5) and it worked!
I signed out of iMessage/Messages on all devices. I also deleted my iCloud accounts on all my devices (make sure you tell the software to keep local copies when you are prompted - relax, it all stays in the cloud, too) Then I signed back in to iMessage/Messages and then re-added iCloud accounts all around. I just sent a message with a photo attachment and did not get the "Not Delivered" message - yay!
(FYI - even though I received the error every time I sent a message with an image attachment, the message still went through - very, very happy, though to finally get rid of the message...)

    Certainly!
This is the module in our eMac 1.42:
    1GB PC2700 DDR 333MHz CAS 2.5 184 Pin DIMM
The vendor, Other World Computing, ships to the UK but I suspect the shipping would make it pricy. I also trust this vendor:
    Apple G4 eMac 1.42GHz (184 Pin PC2700 DDR DIMMs)
Between the two vendor's description, you should have a good idea of the Specs
PPC Macs do not like hi-density PC RAM. That's why I linked these two; they send the right stuff to Mac users.
Crucial UK is usually cited as good but, like their US counterpart, seldom go against Apple's outdated specs. See:
    http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listparts.aspx?model=eMac%20(1.42GHz)&Cat=RAM
They show the max RAM for your model as 1GB--yesterday's news. However, if you order their offering for a G5 iMac, you get the larger modules. Here is a listing for a 2GB kit (2 x 1GB modules) of the right config:
    http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listparts.aspx?model=iMac%20(G5-1.8GHz%2C%2020-i nch)&Cat=RAM
Hope this didn't muddy the water!

Sending the same email message several times to contacts.  Turned off iCloud, but still sending message.
A user had synced all of his contacts from his computer and iPhone to his iCloud.  Today, his iCloud sent out the same message 20 times to all recipients.  We were able to transfer all calendar items and contacts back to his pc and then disable iCloud.  However, it still sent out the messages.  Any ideas?

  • Business Message Report shows INBOUND Send Time Stamp=01/01/1970: wrong

    Configuration :
    Servers -
Oracle B2B <-> Apache Proxy Server <-> Shared Network <->Apache Proxy Server <-> WebMethods B2B
    Protocol -
    AS2
All INBOUND to Oracle B2B AS2 messages from the WebMethods B2B have a "Send Time Stamp" = "     January 1, 1970 12:00:00 AM"
However, all AS2 MDN's from the WebMethods B2B have the correct "Send Time Stamp".
And when we test between 2 Oracle B2B's in development, without using a proxy server, the "Send Time Stamp" is correct for AS2 messages and AS2 MDN's.
My question is where is the "Send Time Stamp" being set ?
Is it the trading partner, e.g. WebMethods ?
    Is it a proxy server?
How can we ensure that the "Send Time Stamp" correctly reflects when the trading partner sent the AS2 message ?

Can you check your infra db timing please? Anyways sending timestamp should not be affected due to this but no harm in verifying.

  • I have a Free Agent external backup hard drive connected to my iMac Intel desktop via USB.  Why do I get an error message, from time to time, upon startup stating: "disk was disconnected improperly, always eject disk before disconnecting"?

I have a Free Agent external backup hard drive connected to my iMac Intel desktop via USB, I never unplug it.  Why do I get an error message, from time to time, upon startup stating, "Disk was disconnected improperly.  Always eject disk before disconnecting."?

I never unplug the external harddrive, and the error message comes up only occassionaly upon startup.  Maybe the USB connection gets disrupted enough to cause the computer to see it as disconnected and then reconnected while the iMac is powered.

  • Native email sends message multiple times

Since I have updated to the new OS, the email app is now sending messages multiple times. When I initially send it, it appears to be unsuccessful, as it is in the Inbox with a red X. But the message is sent. The app keeps trying to send the "unsuccessful" message, and the recipient ends up receiving the same message more than once. Anyone else having this problem, or have an answer?

This issue has not yet been resolved in the below thread either.
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/E-mail-duplications/td-p/1675471
I would give rim a call to let them know of your problems.
If they can't track it they won't know how many users this is affecting. I imagine it will get solved a lot quicker if they know just how many users it's affecting.
    Good luck

  • 5s will send picture texts but i always get a "message send failure" text back

I have an iphone 5s, and every time I send a picture message to either another iphone or an android the pictures goes through.  But then I get a "message send failure" text back.  And when people send me pictures, they get a text that it didn't go through to me.  But I did receive them.  This has caused several repetitive messages to be sent back and forth.

It will all iPhone and adroids that I sent messages to.  They all do go through but they all say "message send failure."  And whenever anyone sends me a picture they get notified it didn't get delivered, but I did receive it.
Alfredo and I did a test picture message on 7/4/14 that worked fine, but then I tried sending a picture after I logged off the chat and it went back to doing the "message send failure" again.

There is a Office for Mac Product Forums, if now one here is able to answer I'd recommend posting on that forum.

  • Message lost during Message Send in weblogic 9.2 JMS

I am using Weblogic Server 9.2 in a clustered environment (2 nodes in separate machines). The application deployed has ejb timers which picks up data from DB, and sends text messages (very small size as its just an ID) to a Queue (using the JMS APIs - QueueSender.send(message)). There is an MDB (with max-beans-in-free-pool) configured to be 20 listenting to this message. There might be 1-20 records picked up from the DB and the id of those records will be sent to the JMS Queue as separate JMS messages. i.e. QueueSender.send will be called as many times as there are record ids to send. The timer after sending the message to the queue sets the status of all the data it picked up to "Busy" in the same transaction as the message send. We are using XA driver and the JMS Connection factory is also XA enabled. We had problems with this XA transaction as weblogic sometimes sends the messages and before db commit happened to set the status to "Busy". We had a workaround to this problem by setting the JMS Connection factory setting "time to Deliver" to 300 so that the messages are visible to the MDB only after 300 ms thereby giving time for db commit to be over as per the suggestion in the following link. http://jayesh-patel.blogspot.com/. We had done this 2 months back and to date we find no problem.
Now we are facing another strange problem. The JMS sometime misses delivering the messages. This is evident from the logs we had printed from the MDB. The logs indicate some messages has reached the MDB and some did not. This problem occurs occasionally. Also what I see is that this had occured under normal load conditions only though this application operates under high loads (number of messages being processed per day may go up to 5000). In the last one month this had occured 3 times. The JMS messaging is becoming unreliable.
This seems to be a bug in Weblogic 9.2 JMS. Is there any workaround to prevent this problem. ?

It is doubtful that JMS is losing messages. Suggestions:
    * Try increasing your sheduled message delay. 300 millis is a short delay -- any small network glitch, disk hardware issue, or even a single JVM GC in the JDBC driver can cause the database to take longer than 300 millis to complete its part of the transaction.
    * Try "WebLogic JMS Message Lifecycle Logging" if you want to trace message activity.
    * Instead of the delay, consider using WebLogic's Datasource "LLR" option, a commonly used solution to your use case. This is an optimization option that yields fully ACID (safe) transactions, and has the very nice side effect of deterministically forcing the TM to always commit the database portion of a transaction before committing any other resources participating in the same transaction.

  • Messages sends a double invitation

I have a colleague with a MacBook Pro. He chats with messages via Wifi. He is the only one who manages to invite me with a double invitation window on screen. I can choose out of these two windows to accept and often seem to pick the wrong one. It results in a time out. A second attempt is always with one invitation screen and succeeds. Does anybody know what can cause such an odd double invitation window? Kind regards, Julius

    Hi,
I take it that this is about an Audio Only or Video chat (the Text Chats don't display and invite anymore) ?
In iChat and Messages it has always been possible to get tow invites at once.
However this would be unusual  and possibly one of them would be unexpected.  (most people text first then tell you they will call).
As for two invites from the same Buddy it sounds as if the person at the other end or you is connected via both Ethernet and WiFi.
This gives a sort of double presence on the 'Net.
Lets say it is your end.
You click to send an Invite  and this goes via your Internet connection picking up the IP addresses involved along the way so that the other end knows where to reply to.
As you have two IP address on your LAN there would be two outgoing Invites.
Text chats seem to cope with this and AIM Accounts can be specifically set to allow multiple logins.
Incoming Invites are supposed to follow the text chat route to your computer or more specifically the App on your Mac.
This is done with "hops"  through various Internet servers.
The last bit though is the IP of the Router from the ISP you use.
The next bit is the IP given by your router to your Computer - or in the case of your Buddy this could be two IPs if you are connected twice to the router.
