Messages Sent With .Jpeg's From Mail-Receive On PC's,Smaller Than When Sent

We seem to have an issue when we send .Jpeg's from Mac Mail, all our systems are up to date and are all very new.
*Basically when we drop a pic from desktop into a new mail message in Mac Mail and/or create a new mail message from iPhoto with an attached image from iphoto, it shows up fine in the message body and is at full resolution e.g Very Large.*
*After sending the mail to a recipient on a PC, the recipient receives the message in their mail program ( something like outlook ) and when they view the message it shows up as a small .Jpeg embedded*
And when I mean small its small like almost unreadable.
Any one got any ideas ? - I dont want to send emails as plain tex, only rich tex cause we have html signatures that need to look cool.

I've changed the bill payer to myself but it stills says on emails that I sent that its from my mother.

In order for the "From" field to show you options on the "from" addresses available, you must set them up in the Preferences > Accounts first.
I can't show you a screen shot of the from field because I currently only have one account, so the from address used is the default. However, when I had more than one, then options will show up in your compose/reply window.

Whenever I do a 'search' for a message that has been sent to me the only mails shown are the ones that I have sent to that person, not ones I have received?

It is important to me to be able to find messages that I have sent TO a person as well as messages I have RECEIVED from that person. I used to be able to do that but now, for some unknown reason, whenever I do a search on an email address the only messages that are displayed are the ones I have SENT to an email address. What can I do make sure it does what it used to do i.e. display ALL messages to and from an email address ?

Deleting the file with Thunderbird closed just causes it to be recreated and a fresh index of your mail to be created when Thunderbird starts. You may find it is a huge file, mine is over a gigabyte and occasionally they just get out of sync with reality. Also I just though of this, right click your sent folder/s and check the "include this folder in global search results" is ticked.
Just FYI... Many people coming here call quick filter search, and for your future confusion on why there is more than one search. Ctrl + Shift + F opens a bona fide search and is the way to create saved search's that appear as folder on the left tree. Something the global search can not do.

Emails with attachment send from and receive with XI

Hi,..
I have two questions regarding sending resp. sending mails from / to XI.
A) is it possible to attach several files as attachment to mails sent via the mail adapter?
Note: I do not want to send the message payload itself as attachment, but send an email with contents from the message payload and attach to this mail one or several files located at the disk as attachment?
If , yes how can I achieve this.
B) What happens with attached files, when the mail is sent to the XI mail adapter?

Problem with JPEG files from Leica M and GPS data

It seems there's a serious bug in Camera Raw 8, hosted in Bridge CS6 on an MS Windows machine, with regard to GPS metadata.
When using a Leica M (Typ 240) with a multi-function handgrip then both the DNG files (DNG is Leica's native raw format) and the JPEG files out of the camera will include GPS position data in the respective EXIF metadata sections. However, Bridge refuses to display the JPEG files' GPS data (while there's no problem with the GPS data in the DNG files). Worse yet—when loading a JPEG file in Camera Raw for some parametric adjustments and saving the file then the GPS data will be entirely gone! (Again, no problems with the DNG files' GPS data.)
I suppose that Camera Raw 8 hosted in Bridge CC as well as Lightroom 5 are suffering from the same issue.

Help ! Can't replace file in file folder with same file from mail

After migrating from Mountain Lion to Mavericks, everytime I want to save attachment file from mail to file folder that has same file name, after clicking "Replace", the attachment file doesn't replace the old one.
This problem didn't exist, after migrating from Lion to Mountain Lion.
What should I do to fix it ?

The best thing to do is to move the search and replace functionality to before the string coming out of the file is changed into an array. Do it there and all you need is 2 instances of the Search and Replace String function. One replaces all the "/" with "-" and one changes all the "." to ",".

Thank you for the question. The easiest way to troubleshoot this issue would be to delete the account and add it back to the iOS device. Below, I have included two e-mail troubleshooting articles. Question marks at end of each line in messages sent with 10.4.6 mail

Some Outlook users are finding ?s at the end of each line in my emails sent from 10.4.6. I did not have this problem in 10.3.9. The problem appears to be resolved when I choose UTF-8 message encoding. There appears to be no way to make Mail automatically choose UTF-8, and I am reluctant to enter Terminal to direct Mail to do so as suggested in one discussion. So 3 questions: 1. how do I get Mail to choose UTF-8 automatically? 2. why hasn't Apple fixed this? 3. how friendly is UTF-8 to non-Outlook users? I don't want to make a change in Terminal so that all email goes UTF-8 and then find out that this messes something else up. Help?

I don't know. Perhaps they are tired of adjusting their stuff to conform to bugs in MS products.

All modern mail clients can read it fine, but webmail is unpredictable. Best thing is perhaps to try it and see if you get any complaints.

Multiple Message Mapping with same Idoc, Sender and Receiver

Hi,
We have one Interface sending INVOIC02 Idoc from SAP R3 4.6C to SAP R3 4.6C through XI 3.0.
On Inbound side we are using SAP standard configuring one Partner Profile with inbound INVOIC MM process code INVL.
In customizing, we have defined one invoic type for the EDI partner.
Now we have to integrate another type of inbound invoic, but in customizing it's not possible to assign more than one invoic type to the same Partner EDI.
So, we have a restriction in SAP 4.6C inbound standard. On the other hand, we can't desing two Integration Scenarios in XI 3.0 with the same idoc INVOIC02, for the same sender service and receiver service because Integration Directory doesn't allow to create two interface determination for them.
We are thinking on using header mapping in XI (receiver agreement to avoid use the same EDI partner profile for the inbound invoic, but we can't assign the same client and technical system with the same ALE Logical System in SLD for two different business systems.
Does anybody have any solution for this problem, SAP side or XI side?.

Hi!
In XI configuration - interface determination, you can specify more than one Inbound interface. If you identify more than one, you get a new column where you specify condition (xpath) for selecting between the different inbound interfaces.
In 4.6c, you can have more than one inbound invoic for the same EDI partner profile, if you separate between them using message function. Just add a new inbound parameter with a different message function, or copy the one you have and specify another message function, i,e. "DIFF".

I want to copy the name with email address from Mail like I could before Mavericks

I have resisted upgrading to Mavericks for all this time because Mavericks now stops the name of the contact being copied when I copy the email address from the sender. What is now copied is: '[email protected]'
What I want and what it used to be before Mavericks is: 'Dave Garnish <[email protected]>'
I know it sounds petty but it has stopped me upgrading for all this time, but now I need 4k monitor support.

The following Terminal command used to enable the use of the name along with the email address:
defaults write com.apple.mail AddressesIncludeNameOnPasteboard -bool YES
(Change YES to NO to undo the change.)
I don't know if it still works.
You can also affect this feature in the mail message via Mail, Preferences, Use Smart Addresses. When unchecked the sender's address gets the name and angle bracket thing.

Issue with Attachment download from Mail?

I am having an issue with an attachment. I opened the attachment from an email account on my iPad2 and the screen has just gone black. Mail will not let me out of trying to view the attachment. I tap on the screen and nothing happens. It has frozen my mail accounts. Any one have an idea how to cancel the attachment if the mail is not responding?

Do a hard reset: Press and hold on the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time. Continue to hold even after you see the "Slide to Power off" screen. Hold until the Apple logo comes up.

"Document couldn't be imported" error message trying to open doc from mail

neither pages files
also it's not possible to open xls files in Numbers
if i simply open docs through itunes or idisk then everything is fine
but with mail i can't do anything about it (((

Text below images in mail converteted to .txt or html attachemnts when sent

Using Apple mail with Exchange account.
If I add text below an image in an e-mial, the text is often (but not always)
converted to an attachment ending in .txt or .html.
So the recipient rarely sees the text message. Very frustrating.
Apple Care is like huh?
I did some searching on it a few weeks ago, but no sound solution.
Anybody figure this one out yet?

Receiving undelivered email reports from mailer daemon

Hi,
I use Mac Mail 5.1, which is linked to my hotmail email account and for the past 24 hours I've been receiving "undelivered email reports from Mailer Daemon" but it appears that, even when I send the same message from my yahoo accout, the problem still persists. Any assisstance would be appreciated.

Those reports come from the server at the message destination. For whatever reason, the mail couldn't be delivered. It's not a problem with your Mac.
