Messages will not retain the photo I set for my account...

Every time I set my Messages photo on the iMac I have - it defaults back to something that I have not set - it is actually pulling a photo from an incorrect photo in my contacts.
How do I rectify this, I have 4 apple devices, iPad, MacBook Air, iphone and iMac - this issue is only happening on the iMac.

Hi,
By default when you set up the Mac the Login account gets you to chose a Pic.
When you add your Name and Address and Email the My Card in the Contacts App is set up and this generally takes the same pic at this stage.
Messages will then tend to use this pic for the Buddy Lists (all the Non iMessages accounts)
The Menu items comes from the iChat app that was the forerunner which generally had you logging in using a Buddy list (and it's actions comes from telling the AIM Server to change the pic)
By default Messages does not display the other Buddy Lists.
If you only have Bonjour apart from the iMessages account then Enable that account (you can see the Buddy List by using the Window Menu)
You should now be able to change the pic.
You may want to open the Contacts app and check your Details are the My Card.
All three pics can be changed and be different.

My iphone will not save the photos I have taken with the phone. I have now been working in Italy for 3 months. Shortly after I got here my camera stopped working and this was my only camera! I use AT&T and my phone is not hacked. I have no idea how to contact help from mac. My father in the states has tryed many times to talk with apple but nothing good has come. Please, can someone help!!!!!!

Exactly one week after I posted notes on my "fix" (see above: I reset the phone and erased all my data), the problem has recurred. The camera pretends to take the picture, but nothing is saved in the camera roll but a blank white square. When I touch the square (where the photo should be) the application crashes and I'm returned to the home screen. In the meantime I have not synced any pictures from my iPhoto library, so I'm sure it's not a corrupt photo from my Mac that is causing the problem.
This is upsetting, because I lost some great snapshots before I could get them synchronised off the phone.
This also happened to my wife's phone. She took her's in to the Apple Store, and they helpfully reset her phone, erased all her data, and sent her on her way with a "fixed" phone. I'm going to have to go in and try to convince them that this doesn't actually fix anything.

Manually Split the PO Shipment will not retain the Link with the PR

Hello Gurus,
If a PO is created from MO-PR-PO process and if you split PO line shipment into multiple distributions , The link between PO-PR will not be retained.
I am aware that this is a Standard Functionality , but it will be of immense help if anyone could help me to understand the complexity of the modifcation.

Did you think about automatic PO line cancellation an creating multiple req lines after that adding new req lines in to the same PO?

Iphoto recognizes my camera but will not import the photos becasue of the format, what do I need to do?

Iphoto will recognize my camera, but it doesn not import the pictures. It will give me an error message stating that it is the wrong format. Has anyone had this experience and can you advise?

My computer will not access the sign in page for hotspot

I am using a Toshiba laptop w/windows 7. I am connected to the xfinity hotspot but it will not redirect to sign in screen. I have tried typing in the direct URL and it tells me no internet activity can be detected, page not available. I have used multiple URL's I found listed on another board and none get me there.

On Comcast.net go to your account / services / xfinity internet, there is a link to manage devices for xfinity wifi
Your device only needs to sign in once to xfinitywifi, then it automatically logons on from there on. Look at that manage devices page and see if your equipment is listed. You might want to clean up devices that are not familar, or even delete everything and start over. Then see if you can connect to a xfinitywif hotspot.
There is no url to go to, it either connects automatically, or a sign in page will pop up only the first time with that device.

My finder home window will not stay the way I set it

How do I keep my Finder window opening the way I leave it? Everytime I reboot or use folders in finder window my home view changes from icon to list or size changes. I reset it and it stays for awhile then changes to other view.

You will have to change the Home Page to the page your want to display. In order to do so, follow the steps below:
* Go to Options (i.e. \Firefox\Options\Options);
* Go to the General tab;
* Under Start-up - enter the URL in the Home Page URL box.
Also, make sure that you have chosen "Show my Home Page" under "When Firefox Starts" (use the drop down arrow).

Messages will not let me log in to my Yahoo account

I am getting the following error when trying to connect Yahoo via Messages
"Messages can’t communicate with the account “Yahoo!”. The operation couldn’t be completed. (YRequestHTTPErrorDomain error 999.)"
The error happens on both of my MacBook Pro computers (work and personal), though I am able to successfully connect to my Gmail and AIM accounts through Messenger. I have tried disabling and reenabling the account in Messenger > Preferences with no success.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

TB show all my inboxes but will not show the emails in my most recent account in the unified inbox.

Thunderbird successfully displays all of my e-mail accounts in the list of accounts and displays all of the inboxes correctly however it doesn't display the e-mails at my newest address in the unified inbox. To see them, I have to click on that particular e-mail accounts inbox. In every way, this account appears to be set up the same as the all the other ones. The newest e-mail account is a second account through Zoho. What do you think is the problem?

Since I upgraded to ISo6 my iPhone 4s will not retain Wifi passwords

I'm hope that someone can help as this problem is driving me NUTS.
Since I upgraded both my Iphone 4s and Ipad 3 to ISO6. I've had nothing but problems with Wi-Fi access, inititally neither machine would remember the home networks (or any others) then suddenly the IPad3 fixed itself but still my Iphone 4s will not retain the password.
It was always able without any problems to retain the passwords for any Wi-Fi networks before the upgrade - but no more.
I've tried pretty much everything that I read about from a reboot, resetting the wifi setting, resetting all settings, a factory reset and a restore - nothing helps! The iphone connects to the network no problem - but if you go out or if the phone locks and more than 30 minutes goes by - it'll have forgotten the networks and will require that you reenter the password. Which is getting more than annoying.
Given what I've tried I'm thinking that the software somehow got screwed up a little when it installed and I need to completely reinstall the ISO. I also noticed the personnel hotspot is missing!
Any help really appreciated as it's driving me crasy.

I read someone said you can tap on "other" when selecting which wifi you connect to and then entering the exact wifi name of the network you wish to join and the password and then joining that network allowed the password to be saved. Also with iOS 6 the minimum length of the password needs to be 8 characters. Maybe you password on your router is less than 8 characters long

IPhone will not retain wrt54g password

Hi all. I have a iphone that will not retain the password for a WRT54g. Each time I leave the house, I have to renter the wifi password on my phone. It remembers other networks, just not the house. I'm clueless on modems, so if you suggest that I do this or that,...... Dumb it down A LOT! Thanks!

You just need to ensure router’s firmware is updated. Reset the router and reconfigure. You can download firmware from this link http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT54G.

Website will not retain password and username

In dreamweaver my websites will not retain the username and
password. Everytime i restart i have to enter the data in again.
