Messaging does not accept photos when sent to me.

I am not able to receive photos in messaging. How do I get this feature back?
I also note that my camera icon is graded out. But I was able to take a picture.
What dos the camera on the lock screen indicate, this is something I haven noticed before

The first step is to determine if the files should be QT compatible. "Videos" come in many different audio, video, and file container formats. Which are these?

When I press my power button on my retina a message that says "Are you sure you want to ..?"

Tell your friends to leave your computer alone. That's not the proper way to turn off your MBP. And no, that message cannot be turned off. It is a safety feature.

Messages does NOT delete images when requested

Scenario:
1. Open a conversation in Messages on OS X Yosemite.
2. Click "Details" in the top-right corner. Notice that a popup appears with pictures/images that have been sent as part of the conversation.
3. Select one or more of those image thumbnails.
4. Right-click and choose "Delete"
5. Confirm that you want to delete the attachments.
Now wait. Are the attachments deleted? Not for me. After 5 attempts and 24 hours, the attachments are not deleted. Why? Perhaps Apple should rename "Delete" to "Make a vague effort to delete and then give up".
Numerous tests confirm that "Delete" images in Messages basically does nothing at all .. NOTHING.
Think this is a joke? I got sent a bunch of unpleasant images and deleted them in Messages. Did they delete? Nope! Why not? Why is there a "Delete" option in Messages that does nothing?
This is disgraceful.

IWeb page does not load photos when published on Firefox?

I just started using iWeb, and created a webpage to share photos with my friends and family. Today when I updated (published) some new photos there is a problem with the website displaying on Firefox (the photos do not load and the links are not active).
Seems to work fine on Safari, but I think Firefox is the most common browser these days...
Anyone else experienced this problem?

The FF3 problem was corrected with the advent of the 2.0.4 iWeb update. If you haven't updated to that version so do and then do a Publish All to MobileMe. If you are running 2.0.4 do a Publish All to MobileMe and try Firefox again. Be sure to clear the cache also.

I am using a Nvidia 4200M adapter in my Laptop, Driver 266.96, Direct X 11
In my desktop I am using an ATI XFX 6950, latest revision drivers (I am not at home right now so I cant get that info).
The issue I did describe above, but it was a long explanation.
In some flash games the game files load initially and get as far as the "click to start" button. Then the flash area usually goes either all white or all black (usually depending on the falsh game default background color) and then it stays that color. Cant see anything after hitting start (usually most games have an intro video or animation before the game starts, but I cant see any of it.
For the very few games that do start, the flash game or application does not seem to work correctly in that when the rare game starts, it wont save any game files or save files to the pc and so if I exit the game (navigate away to another page or close browser) and then later come back, even though I click the option to save games (and ensure that the flash application slider shows it can save files and lots of space) it does not save and I have to start from the beginning all the time.

This is may be because one of your mail accounts is using a different folder for it's 'Sent' bucket. The following article goes into further detail, and also explains how to change the bucket that each account uses.

Elements 9 does not accept or process RAW photo images taken with a Nikon D7000.

Adobe elements 9 does not accept or process RAW photo images taken with a Nikon D7000. I called support for a download patch and they said I had to purchase a support package or essentially purchase Elements 10. I can't believe that Adobe would not have a download patch for this problem as my elements 9 is not very old. When I try to do the updates Adobe says the serial number of the elements 9 is not accepted for download or support even though I purchased it and registered it with Adobe.
Is there any solution to this?

Thank you but still having a problem. I go to the edit menu>>help>>update>>check for updates and an update to 9.03 comes up as the only update, no camera raw update. It starts to download and then stops and says to close organizer and/or editor then starts back up and stops again saying "error installing this update. Close and contact customer support". When I called customer support earlier that's when they said they don't support 9 only v. 10 and did I want to buy support or a new program v10 to get camera raw processing for the Nikon D7000 RAW. Apparently I'm doing something wrong in the update procedure but don't know what. The camera raw version is 6.5 in my elements and understand that camera raw v. 6.7 is the update to process the images. Any ideas? If I uninstall and reinstall does the serial number still work on the reinstall?

After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.
During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.

Did you get any help on this? From what I can see from surfing this site, it's a BUG that no one has offered a solution to. It sometimes happens after a 'reset' and going to ITunes does not offer a way to 'set up push notifications'.

When I try to create a new Message on my Mac, Messages does not bring up my Contacts

I have followed the instructions to setup Messages, I can send messages to the email addresses that I have memorized, but when I try to create a new Message on my Mac, Messages does not bring up my Contacts when I type in the search field for a person that has an iPad or iPhone.
This sems out of sorts for an Apple product. Their stuff normally just works.
For some reason, My Mac Mini with Mountain Lion doesn't recognize my contact names, or it isn't synched with my contacts...
Anybody else want to weigh in, please?

I would point out that I did say...
Of course the Contacts List has to have people listed in it.
The Error seems to be that you have not even got an My Card.
The OS when the computer is brand new and you set up the first Admin Account should create at least once Card entry for the Address Book/Contacts which has the Head and Shoulders icon (the My Card)
The does presume the the first account on the Mac doers have a person's First name and Last name to work with.
Of course not everyone sets things up this way.
Anyhow
To Check the Contacts List open the app.
Go to the Preferences.
Go to the Accounts section.
This should list at least two "accounts
One is for Syncing with iCloud and the other is for storing the Info on the Mac itself
In System Preferences > iCloud you can only set up one Apple ID to be the iCloud ID.
If you do or have changed this you may have extra accounts in the Contacts > Preferences > Accounts

Are you running the most recent version of iTunes for Windows on your PC? You may be running an older version that is incompatible with the 4s.
