Messaging on Nokia 5800

Question

Hello,
Is there any app (free if possible)  that can show messages by contacts (like iPhone/Blackberry/Android) so there is 1 thread for 1 person.
Something on the lines of this:

Exactly. The smileys themselves aren't sent in the message, only the bare characters such as colon, 'o' then ')'. The receiving phone is what decides whether to display those characters or replace them with a smiley.
No S60 phone has that "replace smiley-like sequences with a real smiley" feature but it can be added with third party software if desired. Personally, the first thing I'd do upon setting up a new S40 phone was to deactivate it anyway. I find it rather puerile and it messes up the line spacing of the message.
